I recently bought a new PC with Windows 7 and found that the Windows 7 PC cannot read the 500 films/shows that have been saved and the new Windows 7 recorded shows can be played by the Vista laptop. Is any way to convert or run natively these shows that have been saved under the WMC?

  If I understand correctly, you are unable to play back movies recorded in windows media center.

  Looks like the file cannot not supported by Media Center or you need a codec to right.
  What type of video file format?

  Edit: I can see the files, Vista doesn't know how to play. Also, by selecting the Media Center to open it with... just open Media Center.

  If the recorded TV has DRM protection, there is a good chance he won't play on another computer.

  Assuming it's not DRM protected, on Windows 7, right click the recorded TV file and choose convert to .dvr-ms Format. Now try to play the video in Windows Vista.

  The downloaded file is in FLV format. Probably, you need doanloaded the zip file which has all the content of-integration of recording for example: content, video, audio, etc. If you follow the steps mentioned by jorma in the thread above, you should be able to make the recording offline with audio in it.

• Random questions Nas200

  Hello everyone let me give you some information first here.

  The first nas200 I bought from the store sufferd a brainloss after bad flashing of the firmware and had to be returned to linksys for repair.  They instead sent me a referbished one which I was happy to get but have had another problem since.  The problem is that each so the right nas oftend stops responding at all. You cannot move see actions, you cannot access it through its configuration page, and when I walk the NAS there only a light which is intermidittly flashing if you press the power button does not start just powerdown cycle, he won't answer my only other option to unplug unit which I don't like, because this causes linux perform a scandisk on the ext2 partition.  I have checked the logs, but can't see all the events generated so I'm not sure the cause of this problem.  I see that the drive in the system become very hot and its possible its either stop because of tempreture or the kernel crashes.  I tried to reflash the system with the latest firmware, but that does not reslove the problem.  Im a bit to seen referring to the linksys to replace another.  Anyone has any ideas to why the right nas stops working even when its not used?
