Playhead snaps to the Point in the Source monitor

I work with the new version of first CC and when I play or scrub the clips in the Source monitor he always snaps to the Point. It is hard rub the clip to see if I need to extend the entry point when he keeps back alignment. It seems unnecessary to always erase the In/Out points each time. I've never had this problem before...

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Hi buckyi,

Seems like you "Loop" enabled in the settings of the Source monitor.

Turn it off and see if that helps.

Best,

Does anyone know a shortcut for create/exit points exactly 1 second (or no preset amount) in the source monitor apart?

For example, I want to choose a second clip sections of 5 minutes, but do not want to move the points of entry/exit with the mouse in the hand. Would also be useful to several clips where 1 s/exit points have not been established

    Thanks for all the answers!

Go to preferences and on the set of forward/reverse reading pane, for the number of images you want to move the read head (in this case 60, two seconds):

    And click OK.

Then put your first marker, then type shift + right arrow to move the playback cursor, the number of images that you entered.

If you type shift + left arrow , it will move the playback cursor backward the number of images.

  • Timecode jamming in the Source monitor

I know how to clear a time code in the first frame of an element in the source monitor and in the project Panel: in the project Panel, right click - Edit-> timecode - > insert time code of choice.  But I want to do is go to a point 'IN' in the synchronization of the Source monitor and jam a time code in the 'IN' place.  Whenever I have insert an hour in the monitor Source Panel, that time becomes the time to the first frame of the clip, not the 'IN' time point.  Now, I noticed that in the project Panel (right-click, edit etc...) there's a setting that says 'Current image', but it can not be selected!  So is it possible to blur a moment in a point "IN"?  BTW, I found a way to do this using math and computation of the time between the beginning of the clip and the entry point, but it is labor intensive and prone to errors in subtraction.

Instead of selecting "Edit video" in the project Panel, with the source panel-based use of the menu of clip to select Edit/time Code, you should have access to the current framework option.

  • Audio waveform disappears from the Source monitor after opening another audio clip

I use Premiere Pro CC 2015 on an iMac (late 2014) of new 27-inch Retina 5 k with 8 GB of RAM.

I've got 5 takes of the same voice that I'm editing into a simple video "How-to" recorded at the screen. I'm pass between the clamps and picking at the take, that I prefer and move it into the timeline.

Problem is, once I open an audio file and then pass away from him to another audio file in the monitor Source Panel, the waveforms on this clip will not appear when I open it in the Source monitor. See waveforms is a unique case, unless I restart Premiere Pro. I can still hear everything and I still see the playhead moving across a green screen, but the waveforms are gone. It works fine the first time I open the clip.

I waited about 10-15 minutes to see if it's just to take a second to reload the waveforms, but none of the clips appear in their new waveforms unless I restart the first. I tried to open a video and then come back to an audio clip. I have actually managed to do come back simply by moving the source monitor Panel in its own window separate from the table of mixing, effects, etc. but it happened again the next time I went to another audio clip and no amount of monitor source is fluttering it don't come back.

Is there something that I am missing? I can still change course by listening to each piece of the voice-over begins, but without seeing it, it's a real pain.

I think that this has been fixed with the latest update. No more problems!

  • Is it possible to add audio keyframes to a source clip in the source monitor?

Hello, is it possible to add audio keyframes to a source clip in the source monitor? (Not the chronology)

I would like to dive and pre selectively switch off at the source-clip in the trash.

Bonus round... are waveforms audio visual available somewhere in the source monitor Panel?

Perhaps with a thread of keyframe-able?

    Thank you very much

You can not key frames in the source monitor Panel (the Master Clip function applies not to the audio only).

For the waveform to appear: fiddle the cursor or the playhead in the SM. (this is a bug).

  • can not see the wave forms when dragging clips in the source monitor

I'm editing interviews where images and the original sound has been grouped in merged clips or sequences. I love the source monitor editing in the timeline, so I drag the sequence in the monitor source from the location of the project. From there, I can see and hear the movie without problem. However, when I mark the starting points and insert the images into a new sequence (my own assembly), there is none of the waveforms. In the source monitor itself, if I change the Audio waveform display, there seems to be none of the waveforms here either. Its strange, because first of all, I can hear the audio, and secondly, if I open the original sequence in the timeline panel by double-clicking it, instead of in the source monitor, dragging in there, then I can see the audio waveforms very well... Sounds strange... that the program if not just showing the waveforms for sequences if they are in the source monitor?

Any ideas would be a massive help.

(this is CC, 2014, with the Canon 5 d footage and Wav audio files recorded separately)

    Thank you!

Thank you all for your advice.

I really discovered what seems to be the cause of the problem. In the sequence, there is a blank audio track for a reason any. When I delete the sequence and then drag this sequence in the source monitor, BEHOLD, I still see forms audio waveform. No idea why it shows one track empty when it IS... Weird.

  • Clipboard support in the Source monitor

Is it possible to load I have copy in the source monitor for me to switch on/off points?

Also, when I load a sequence into the source monitor Panel and then insert in my sequence, it inserts into a nested sequence - is it possible to insert individual clips so I can see the Cup points?

    Thank you.

  • Two toppings selections in the time scale to the source monitor. (First Pro CC2014)

I'm really confused by this apparent novelty or glitch, pp. I'm working on an old project that has been improved cs6 by CC and now the CC2014. Several of my videos have evolved at a different point in the source media, so the clip is always the same length on the timeline, but contains a completely different part of the film. When I double-click the clip in the timeline to open it in the source monitor, I get two balances on the scale of time like this:

    sourceclips.JPG

I'm quite confused by the present, I have never seen this. Especially I don't seem to be able to move one of them independently of the right section of the images enter my cup, and I can't delete any of them.

Is this something that is due to the upgrade, or is it a setting/preference changed CC in 2014. I did have this problem in any other project before installation of 2014 earlier this week and now I hesitate to initiate other projects in the case where he made a mess of them also!

The blue part is the video the audio part green (this has always been in first)

If you check selection bound (next to the key) it will probably be 'fusion' when you double-click it.

  • Black screen in the source monitor

I'm trying to synchronize an audio file that is good with my .mov. But when I do exactly what is described here automatically synchronize the audio and video files in Adobe first Pro CC from the audio - waves YouTube I just get a black screen in the source monitor. Why? Shouldn't I be see the its synchronized with the video file in the source monitor Panel?  I'm new to first, maybe if I have a setting turned off? Please advise!

[Please choose a brief description for the title of the thread, and only after the real problem in the main body].

Yes, the image expands, but you have the Source and monitors shrunk very small sizes n the screen capture program.

Was the clip defined when you merged and exit points?

(By the way, my post request 3 was on target.)  The video is considerably shorter than the audio, which represents a large part of the black you would see in the Source monitor.)

  • behavior of scroll/zoom mouse in the Source monitor

Hi guys, long time lurker but first time poster. I was wondering if someone could help me with something. Basically, I love mouse scroll/zoom of the features Adobe in the timeline panel, but I hate it in the Source monitor.

In the timeline you can mouse scrolling the entire timeline to the left, right, up, down. You can use ALT upwards or downwards to zoom, etc. Meanwhile, in the Source monitor, scroll left, right, up, down, alt, etc... He advances to the read head. Which seems redundant when you already JKL.

It is not so much a problem when you look at images in the Source, but if you are looking to audio (a song or trying to locate a specific point in the dialogue to say), it's really nice to be able to use the mouse to zoom in and out, and scroll around the audio waveform as you would with film in the timeline panel.

Does anyone know of a framework that could allow this? The only solution I found is hover my mouse the small bar "resizer" (for lack of a better word) which is just above the button in the Source monitor Panel. If the mouse is positioned in this small drop little real estate, you can use the wheel to zoom and scroll the Source monitor Panel... But it would be nice if you could just do that by default. No chance we prefer settingI am not aware of?

Ask good, but you must put it:

  • clip of waveform in the source monitor

How to me audio waveform of the music video to be displayed in the Source monitor, so I can edit audio. I am aware that I can Alt + click just the audio in the timeline panel to bring it in the Source monitor (it's what I want), but making it separates it video - if I adjust the entry points, and it affects only the audio not video.

Also, on a related note, any suggestions on how to add changes directly in this view audio source? What I mean is that I often edit the clips of the interview in the timeline and later need to edit small sections, false starts, the differences, er and um's, breaks shake, etc., and I need the cups to be exact. However, the tool blade do not work in this window to fix this that I find myself by placing two markers, then selecting the tool blade, go to the time line and then make cuts. I wish if I could just make cuts directly in this window.

To view an audio in the Source monitor Panel clip when the clip is in the Panel project, double-click the clip, or drag the item to the Source monitor. If a clip contains video and audio, you can view audio in the Source monitor Panel by clicking the exit button and selecting the Audio waveform.

    View of audio clips

any suggestions on how to add changes directly to this point of view source audio?

    Cannot do.

  • link to the sound and the video in the source monitor

    Hello

I use CS3. I have a clip mpeg video and a file audio wav on the timeline. The video / audio is not multiplexed. They are connected on the timeline. What I have is the video and audio link and go in the source with the hardware monitor...   I can change the subitems etc. of the source monitor and put in a new video layer on the timeline.

When I put the video and the sound file in the source Panel, edit the video and slide on the timeline that this video goes to the timeline.

Is there a way to link in the source, so the video monitor and sound can be edited to timeiline?

    Thank you

    Stem

    Rod,

I'm not aware of a direct way, one click to do this, but you could put your Audio & video on the rails of the good in a sequence, sync them, and then export a multiplex. Import into a new sequence, and everything will be content, as you wish.

Maybe someone will point out this method in one click. You have CS3, right?

    Good luck

  • Could not get the Source monitor and program to display together

Hi, I use Premiere Pro constantly for about 6 or 7 years and have never had problems with the monitors Source and program appearing side by side in my workspace.  I've recently updated to CC and, in addition to having one monitor 'fixed' and a sudden 'floating' (I've unable to paste the two up, but would have a run on my second monitor) it was working OK. The last two days, I can't set both monitors. I double click on a clip in the project, and it is not displayed anywhere.

My preference is to set the workspace to imitate CS5.5, but this option is sorting is no longer the problem.  I'm trying to go back to the previous workspace and it tells me that there is not.  I tried control boxes and uncheck the menu window. Any help would be appreciated.

    Source monitor.jpg

Source monitor can normally be added to any 'panel' by clicking on the Panel, then in the menu dropdown you show, by clicking on the Source monitor... then navigate to it by selecting the tab is in the Panel that was highlighted when you clicked.

You can change the panels by "entering" a title as source or scopes or whatnot too and drag in or to another palette, with the possibility of having always appear (for example, if you then release in the area left highlighted a Panel, you drag in) to the left of other things in the control panel... or if you say leave in the Middle then it displays when you select the tab at the top of the Panel. Others cover it when you click on the tabs. I think that the help pages following (they aren't long) could you get:

  • Transmit mercury only shows the program, not the source monitor monitor

    Hello people,

For some time now, I have this problem where only the signal from the program monitor is sent to my external monitor. The source monitor working within first on my computer monitors, but will not playback on my external monitor. It is in each project unique im working on and I find it very difficult to identify the problem. It won't work when I drag a clip from a location to the source monitor or make a match frame of the timeline. I would add also that sometimes, but not everytime, when the program monitor transmits very well and I do a double click on a clip in the tray or drag it to the source monitor, my external monitor goes black. This also happens when you do a correspondence framework. And to add another weird thing, the audio is being transmitted by the source monitor. First pro audio is routed through my external monitor. I can just hear end during playback of clips in the source monitor. It's just the video that will not be displayed on my screen.

My hardware is just simple Quicktime mov with ProRes in them in 1920 x 1080 so nothing special.

I have the latest version of first and my driver for the monitor of Blackmagic Mini is also updated.

    I'm open to suggestions!

    Thank you!

I think I solved my problem.  After a lot of troubleshooting, we ransacked the Premiere Pro preferences (hold down shift + option while launching the first) and the source has been restored.  Or my preferences were corrupt, or else my system has been set up in the reading panels and Audio hardware preferences.

Unfortunately, after a few days the reading of the source monitor went out again.  I trashed my preferences again and reading has been restored.  I'm still trying to understand why this has happened.

To answer your questions.  I am using a monitor.  He has worked with AJA Kona, but we recently went to Blackmagic so that we can use to Resolve.  I do not know if yes or no the Blackmagic was initially working right, but I don't think it was.  I got stuck on a large project, it was a few months before I could make a test or troubleshooting.

    I hope this helps!

  • Shift + command + SPACEBAR launches the screenshot instead of reading the Source monitor

I changed your title to be more searchable

CTRL/Cmd-Alt-K made a list of short films of keyboard, also found in the menu edit near the bottom. The short you list is listed in my list as playing to start... at least in the standard list for PC.
