Playing a dvd

I got several dvds made from old videos. I'm reading on my g6 pavillion. I have no video or audio.

After spending all day on this ~ I think that the problem is with the DVD Photo Bin converted for me. I'll do more research on other players with these DVD and see if that's the problem. Thank you very much for your time!

HP Pavilion d4995t desktop PC with High Definition Realteck Audio Ultimate.  Vista Premium o/s.  I play my sound through my HDMI cable to the speakers in my monitor. When I try to play a DVD in the DVD player, I get a loud clicking with no sound from the DVD.   This only happens to the DVD.  CDs play sounds without problem.  If I copy the same files to DVD on the hard drive, I can play from the hard drive and the sound works.  If I connect speakers to the audio output and disable the HDMI output, I can play the DVD in the DVD player and games sound through the speakers without noise.  I ran his tool from Microsoft without success.  Updated all the audio drivers.  I reloaded Vista, which corrected the problem.  But as time passed the problem comes back.  I suspect that the problem was caused by a Microsoft Update. Hello

can someone tell me how can I play a dvd on a DVD data?

    Hello

Which DVD Player did you? An internal drive for laptop DVD or a DVD player which is connected to the TV?
What files you want that play you on the DVD player? Photos, Audio?
As far as I know, you can use a burning software Nero. This software supports a lot of different modes of DVD burning. In addition, you should check what media DVD does support the drive.
I burn my DVD with Nero photo and I can use this dvd in my DVD without any problem.

    Hello!

Is the CD/DVD drive listed in Device Manager correctly or you have yellow exclamation points?

If your drive is marked with a yellow exclamation point, you must remove it from Device Manager and reboot the laptop. After that the drive will be installed again and you don t need another driver. The driver is part of the operating system.

In addition, you must remove the upper and lower registry filters. You can find an accurate description of this document from Microsoft:

  • Play European DVDs on a computer in North America

    Hello
I am a Canadian who is in Belgium for the study of the year, and as always, I have my trusty in tow. It is a Toshiba Satellite and has no trouble playing DVD in North America, but does not recognize those of Europe. I was wondering if there is there a software that I need to get, or if I have to buy an external DVD drive in order to use my computer to play European DVDs?
I would be happy to advice from someone who knows about it.
    Thank you very much.

    Hi Anna,.

    To change the region on your DVD-ROM;

    1. click on MY COMPUTER
    2. right click on your DVD player
    3. click on PROPERTIES
    4. click on the HARDWARE tab.
    5. Select your DVD drive and click PROPERTIES
    6. click on the DVD REGION tab.
    7. Select your current country or manually enter the region you want (region 2).

Like Flo said rightly, you have only a limited number of changes before the selected region is perpetuated.

    Kind regards

  • Satellite A110: I want to play a DVD but it says: not compatible

    Hi I have a question.
I have a toshiba satellite a110. But when I want to play a dvd, it says:
    is not compatible...
    :(

Can't watch movies, how to... :(

I have installed some software dvd - ram also uninstalled, restarted the laptop.

    Someone?

    Hello

Are you using the Windows operating system that has been preinstalled on the A110 Sat?
AFAIK almost all Toshiba laptops come with WinDVD program.
I also assume the Sat A110 supports this software and you must use it to play the DVD s.

One question; What DVD did you play? An original or a copy?
The portable DVD Player supports different DVD region code settings.

Please check if the region code that was chosen on the CD/DVD drive supports your DVD media!

For example; you will not be able to play the DVD we s if the region has been set for region 2

  • Satellite A200 - 13 M: I can't play a DVD protected by Securom

    Michel

    Hello

I have no similar experiences, but please check if the service called "Securom Services" is active. I'm sure it must be deleted somewhere in the registry.

In another forum I found something very interesting. Maybe he can help you. Check it out.

    + Crash day - and a warning +.
    January 27, 2006

+ Atari has released a playable demo of a game called Day of Crash. It is similar to Need for Speed: Most Wanted in many ways, but the goal is to destroy the other cars to missiles and miniguns, or do crazy stunts. It's very fun and seem to have some potential - see my screenies, thoughts and tweaks in this thread. +

+ Now, here is the part of the warning. Without wanting to be too dramatic, Crash day demo uses SecuROM copy protection system. It is very annoying and may cause problems on your computer. You can avoid the installation of the demo, or if you install it and then eventually want to uninstall and remove SecuROM, including "SecuROM User Access" Service, it installs under Windows, follow these steps: +.

+ 1. Uninstall the game as usual. +

    + 2. Manually remove the game directory (usually \Program Files\Atari\Crashday-+ demo\)

+ 3. Go to start > run and type "Services.msc" (without the quotes) and press ENTER. +

+ 4. Access the "Securom User Access" Service, double click on it, click on stop and then set Disabled. +

+ 5. Navigate to the \Windows\System32\ directory and delete the file UAService7.exe. +

+ 6. Go to start > run and type 'sc delete useraccess7' (without the quotes) and press ENTER. +

+ Note: Ce Service can be re-created by one of your other SecuROM games, in which case you will have to work to play. +

+ The following steps are very risky and only to those who is certain none of their currently installed games use or need of SecuROM: +.

+ 7. Go to \Documents and Settings\All Users Data\ and remove the SecuROM subdirectory. +

+ 8. Go to start > run and type "Regedit" (without the quotes) and press ENTER. Then find the + * HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SecuROM * + key and delete it if possible. +

  • Cannot play a DVD in full screen.

When I play a DVD with Windows Media Player, I am unable to view in full screen.  Black margins on each side of the movie screen.  It is a new problem.  I uninstalled WMP and reinstalled and it is not changed.  I can watch full screen in other modes.

Clearly your message not being your comments on the web site of Microsoft Answers, I moved it on forum Feedback to windows ' Photos and video "forum.  Return to your message, and click the Edit button located just below.  Change the Version of Windows, menu dropdown to indicate your version of Windows, then click on submit.  People can help you better if you do not keep your Windows version a secret.

When I play videos via WMP (on WIndows 7), I click on the button "full screen" down right WMP and I get an image full screen.  If you have a widescreen monitor, then you will have black bars on the sides of a video, all Standard definition as you would if you were to view a SD video on a large screen TV.  I don't think that WMP has a 'stretch' or 'zoom' works as a TV does, so I don't think that it can artificially change the size of the video as a TV can.  Similarly, if you play a widescreen, HD video on a monitor with a ration of 4:3 (like a standard TV) in full mode aspect screen, you'vv have black bands above and below the video.  At least, that's how it works for me.
