    Hello

    In past when I was with Windows Vista, I used sometimes to save my own speech and then read it, sometimes backward, with Windows 7, I noticed that 'play back' is an option in the recorder provided with Win 7, I was wondering if there is a way to play audio backward in Windows Media Player, or recorded another way to play audio backward with the tools provided with Windows 7 Home Premium.

    Hello

    The reverse-reading feature is more included. You will need investigate third-party products to take advantage of this feature.

  • Use WMP to play audio files of older games triggers the Crash game

    I have a game more Microsoft called Age of Empires. The game has some cool sound effects, I went into the game directory and played some of the sounds with Windows Media Player. Now when I try to play the game, it crashes when these sounds are triggered.

    I learned that WMP adds a kind of coding for audio files when he plays, and that older games such as Age of Empires do not include this extra info so when the game tries to play the sounds, it crashes.

    I tried to uninstall the game completely and put it back and even delete audio files and their replacement, but he did not set. It is only the sounds that I played on WMP that cause the game to Crash, all the sounds I was not playing on WMP still work fine.

    Can you please tell me how to resolve this.

    Hi Halima,

    Thanks for your reply. I managed to solve the problem in a different way. I open each file with a program (I use Adobe Audition) for audio editing, you click Save under and saved all of the audio files as new mp3 files, crushing & replace the original files. I did it in bulk by opening all the audio files at the same time and choosing "save all".

    This seems to have removed the additional coding added to audio files in Windows Media Player and the game can play these audio files when triggered.

    That said, I do not understand why crushing & replacing the mp3 files fixed the issue so that the uninstall & reinstall the game does not - this method of relocation removed all files of game (including all audio files) and replace them with the original from disk files, but still they cannot be triggered by the game. Maybe the computer recognized them somehow as the same files that WMP had altered and automatically change them again. Very strange.

    Thank you

    David

    What you will do, is add the PlayerListener and / if you have in your loop code would go in the treatment of the END_OF_MEDIA event. Once that noise has stopped you will start the next sound and add the listener of player.

    //Declarations
    PlayerListener pListen;
    String mp3 = "";

    ..........
    ..........

    pListen = new PlayerListener(){
       public void playerUpdate(Player player, String event, Object eventData) {
          if (event.equals(PlayerListener.END_OF_MEDIA)) {
             if( mp3.equals(test1) ) mp3 = test;
             else if( mp3.equals(test2) ) mp3 = test3;
             else if( mp3.equals(test3) ) mp3 = test4;
             .........

             InputStream stream = (InputStream)this.getClass().getResourceAsStream("/" + mp3);
             p = Manager.createPlayer(stream, "audio/mpeg");
             p.realize();
             p.prefetch();
             p.addPlayerListener(pListen);
             p.start();
          }
       }
    }

    InputStream stream = (InputStream)this.getClass().getResourceAsStream("/" + mp3);
    p = Manager.createPlayer(stream, "audio/mpeg");
    p.realize();
    p.prefetch();
    p.addPlayerListener(pListen);
    p.start();

    So, add the try-catch blocks.

  • Reading audio file included in the project

    Right now I am able to play audio files by extracting a path of the file location.

    Ex: file:///SDCard/BlackBerry/music/file.wav

    I suspect that this will help.

    Be sure to add the file to your project.

  • "For Audio/video on the Internet" does not open

    Hi all

    As the title suggests when I click on "for Audio/video on the Internet" nothing happens.  It seems that the icon has also changed.  I tried to look around this problem without success.  I would appreciate any assistance.

    Plaase excuse my ignorance, but it is "for Audio/video on the Internet", a program or command in a browser (maybe an add-on)?  What is doing?  Have you checked that the http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-vista/Default.aspx Vista Compatibility Center to ensure that the program / module is compatible with Vista and/or Internet Explorer? If so, please provide the web site of the program (link) so we can search more far - I couldn't find using Bing (which is unusual).  The fact that it has an icon indicates it is a program.

    What was the program installed and when its last function properly (and have the correct icon)?  Do you know when this problem started?  Try a system restore to a point in time BEFORE the problem started.  Here is the procedure: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/using-windows-vista-system-restore/.  Don't forget to check the box to show more than 5 days of restore points.  If the first attempt fails, then try an earlier point or two.  NOTE: You will need to re - install any software and updates that you have installed between now and the restore point, but you can use Windows Update for updates.

    Right-click on the icon and click Properties.  On the general tab, it's a file with a path - what is this parth?  Go to this path in Windows Explorer and check to see if it exists and if it contains all of the files/programs. If it is there, so we know at least that the program is on the system even if the icon does not work.  Go to the executable main real within the program and create a new shortcut icon and move whenever the icon currently exists and see if this new icon works and it solved the problem.  If this is not the case, try to do a right-click on the icon and click on run as administrator to see if you have a better chance.

    If she isn't here or the procedures above will not work (and it is a program or an add-on), then I suggest you uninstall with Revo http://www.snapfiles.com/reviews/revo-uninstaller/revouninstaller.html and then restart and try reinstalling it.  He may have developed some corrupted files (espcially if the icon has changed) and this may clear up the problem.

    If I'm away from base here, please tell me.  I've never heard of this product before and as I said, I don't find it with Bing, and it is very rare that the programs available.  Please explain what it is and more to hold and, if possible, provide the link of web site (I can download it me to test it and see if I have also the problem - if I have Vista Business, which does not come with Media Center and I suspect that it is associated with, if it's a program).

    I hope this helps and please get back to us with more information so that we can help you better.

    Good luck!

  • Failed to add audio files to the menu

    I followed all the normal steps. I dragged the audio file in the menu window, nothing will do. I dragged the link in the window of query to audio files in the project window and it does not appear in the audio area temporarily. But as soon as I select the new menu item, he says: audio: No.

    Help! It's ridiculous! Thank you!!

    It is the wma... But I finally solved the problem in the re-linking to the original file. God only knows why she had to be re-related, because he played very well in the preview area. But once re-related, the ability to drag and drop it in the menu has been restored.

    Thank you

  • How re - enable the display of the history of uploading files in the Download Manager window?

    System: Windows XP

    I am trying to reactivate the display, or to remember the list of downloaded files in the Download Manager window. I want to be able to drag and drop directly from this window into a folder of my choice. (I used to be able to do this, but apparently I missed that...)

    I tried the suggestions that could easily be found, including Firefox to remember the whole story in the privacy of the upgrade Options tab in.

    I have also deleted the mimeTypes.rdf file to 'reset' the values default to the browser, but in vain.

    Any ideas/help?

    Thank you.

    Well, it's fixed.

    The problem seems to be a plugin obsolete, probably the previous version of the Adobe Reader software.

    All is well now.
