  So much trouble, you got there. You may create a Groove and reinstall the original recovery image. After having done this you own preinstalled OS and with the factory settings, everything should work again.

  The Intel Chipset driver support USB drivers. You can download it from the Support/Drivers from Toshiba website.

  But if you have recently installed a strange USB device (perhaps a keyboard/mouse/drive HARD USB), the driver may be contradictory. If you remove this driver from Control Panel-> features of the program first, and then reinstall the Intel Chipset driver.

• A Xbox controller does not work

  I recently bought a controller a Xbox with the kit of load to my PC. In which case it is important, I bought it on Amazon. I plugged it and he picked up the device, but the device driver installs.   Today, I had this same problem with a d220 MT (in fact, I found this entry when you seek a solution ), and the fix was so simple it was embarrassing. The driver download sp25326.exe install just the installer. After you run it, you must go to c:\swsetup\sp25326 and run setup.exe. After that, your card should work. at least it worked for me.

  It seems a little weird that the serial number was not recognized.  Have you tried to contact Dell and ask them about it?

  Why R83099 Dell TrueMobile 1300 WLAN Mini-PCI Card?  This isn't one of the choices for the adapter driver wireless for an Inspiron 510 m--> http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19 (that file doesn't even seem the correct driver for a Dell TrueMobile 1300; the linked page offers R143355. EXE for the device).

  I suggest either (a) call/email Dell and know what particular wireless adapter is in the laptop and what driver you should download or (b) open the cover of the mini-PCI card and visually identify (if possible)--> http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/ins510m/sm/upgrades.htm#999869 and then go to the driver page linked above and get the correct driver.
