  There is a problem with your installation of OS X. The easiest way, but not the fastest way to fix it is to reinstall the operating system. Unless you are in a hurry or have measured access to the network, it is what I suggest, especially since I don't know if there are any problems with the installation. Please backup all data before reinstalling. You won't need the backup unless something is wrong.

  The below, advanced shortcut if it works, can save you some downtime (and the cost of a download of several gigabyte, if necessary.)

  1 back up all data.

  2. disconnect all external storage devices.

  3. start in recovery mode. Select a language, if you are prompted. The OS X Utilities appears. One of the options is to install OS X. This is not what you do.

  4. This step is only necessary if you use FileVault 2. If you don't know what's FileVault, you use it. Go to the next step. Otherwise, launch utility disk, then select the icon for the volume FileVault ("Macintosh HD", unless you have given it a different name.) It will be nested under another icon of the disc. Select open in the file menu and enter your login password when you are prompted. Then quit disk utility must be returned to the main screen.

  5. Select get online help. Safari will launch. While in recovery, you will have no access to your Favorites, but you won't need them. Load this web page.

  6. triple - click anywhere in the line below to select this option:

  chflags -R norestricted /V*/*/S*/*/Caches

  Copy the selected text in the Clipboard by pressing Control-C key combination.

  7. Quit Safari. You go back to the OS X Utilities screen.

  Wait for a new line ending with a dollar sign ($) below what you entered.

  10. make as in step 9 with this line:

  sudo /usr/libexec/*/app_sandbox_cache_builder --rebuild-cache

  You can then quit Terminal.

  Had a similar problem with this, but I called the number of xbox live. You must call them also. Basically, they have transferred all my info to a new account and renamed him.   Hi, I have an Hp laptop (model: G62-340US) that I bought in 2009. Finally, it crushed in 2012 and has conducted the test and repeated my system without a reboot disk features. He told me to press F11 to recover my system, but it does not work. I did not initially to create a backup recovery disk when I bought the system but in my defense, the new feature says that a disc would not need to restore the system. Nevertheless, I should created one when even my problem is when I start my computer, the HP logo starts but need me a screen where it tells me that his writing copy protected and that there no disc reboot please install reboot disk. I have tried F11 but nothing happends and I tried esc knock to get recovery screen where I can choose F1 through F11. I chose F11 but it'll still take me to the screen where it ask me to insert the disc to reboot. I hope that my hard drive is not fried and if all goes well at least pay for a disk to reboot. Y at - there a step I'm missing? I mean I can't even get into my operating system (Windows 7) to try to recover from this end. Please help... Thank you.

  You should be able to install a 2.5 "drive hard 9.5 SATA2 mm, up to 1 TB, with no problems. The disc can be either 7200 rpm or 5400 RPM. A disc of 750 GB or 1 TB 7200 RPM may cause a slight decrease in the life of the battery. Other than that, they do not cause any problem and you won't need to replace / upgrade your battery or other components.

  I hate sourcing of a hard drive on eBay and stick to an online retailer or a local store.

  These machines also generally have a utility to create physical recovery disks in case the hard drive needs to be replaced or the factory restore image is somewhat damaged. If you have not created the recovery image recovery physical and/or damaged disks, contact technical support of computer mftr. to order a set of recovery disks. It is normally very expensive, around $20-25. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

  Microsoft make nor sell recovery discs, these are only available from the manufacturer of your computer, so you must check with them to see if the discs are still available.

  If your goal is to reinstall the operating system there are ways to achieve

  We need to tap the F11 key immediately after presswing the laptop power button. Who will call the Recovery Manager unless you have deleted the recovery partition or have done something to the original disk partition scheme. In the Recovery Manager simply choose to recover your PC for the original operating system

  Alternatively, you can order a set of HP recovery disks.
