Disk system recovery creating problem

I recently reformatted my Pavilion dv7, and then it prompted me to create a system recovery disk. When I first set up my computer I had problems with the third CD, so I think that I certainly should I redo. However, when I tried to create the system recovery after reformat the disk, I received the following error message: "this computer doesn't have a burning drive, which is required to create DVDs. Please contact HP support for assistance. »

Obviously my computer has a burning drive, as I was able to burn DVDs in the past, and I know for a fact that this computer has even a Blu Ray burner! Can someone please? Thank you

What do you mean try other media? I tried the DVD-Rs many times and after many attempts created CD 1 of 3, but after many attempts could not create disc 2. Then, just today I tried to put the DVD + R in the drive and nothing happened and he would not allow me to click Next!

"he had successfully created disk 1 (with the help of DVD - R)

I would call HP and ask a set free since you can not make your own game on the PC.

Hello, I got my HP Pavilion dv7t-6000 laptop repaired while I was (and am still) in Europe in January this year. When they fixed my HDD, him has not loaded in many settings, programs and applications that I use/am used to / and pleasure to use. I sent RESUMES to the recovery disks that I have now. The problem is when I run the recovery program, after disconnection and everything, I get to the screen where it says insert the System Recovery DVD, which I do, and a screen appears which reads has not found disk. I re - insert the new attempt to drive / vile and again the same message every time, even though I hear the pilot running and when I enter the drive connected to windows, it appears in the pilot, so I know, he knows it's there. I need serious help on that and quickly because the people who fixed were no help at all. I have windows 64-bit. I make my living on this laptop, and I'm kind of panic around here.

  • After system recovery driver problems

After a total hard drive failure, I used the recovery disks to reinstall Windows XP Pro. Nine drivers are absent, and the customer support needed to help me find and install. The system is now updated to current levels and works very well. However two questions pilot apparently associated are:

    (1) when you start up the computer, a program called Apoint.exe is started from the STARTUP group. It does not end, but lies in the status bar at the bottom of the screen. When I click on it, I get a black screen with a symbol flashes in the upper left corner and a white square cursor. I can put end to the program with no problem apparent but would like to have complete normally or not run at all. Seems to be related to the touchpad driver.

    (2) from the start, something like 25 language files named Arabic.bin, etc. to let in the TEMP directory. They seem to be related to the Realtek Audio driver. I can delete them without apparent problem, but they come back the next time. Very annoying.

  • XP - D: disk system recovery does not

I need to do a system restore in XP Home Edition on a Dell computer where my D: drive does not work.  Is there a place on the Web sites where I can access this version of XP and provide my license number and the name and download it online, without going through my D: drive?  Thank you.

I'm sorry, but there is no way to download Windows XP.

Many Dell computers have a built-in recovery partition that can re - load Windows from scratch.  To access it, press Ctrl + F11 at the BIOS boot screen, just after starting the computer.

If this does not work, here are some other possibilities:

    1. replace the CD drive.

    2. some, but not all, computers can boot from an external USB CD drive.  Who may need to change some settings in the BIOS.

Before a re-installation, save all files in significant on an external disk.

I only have access to the boot using CTRL + F1 or control + F2, but is not able to access the HARD disk system recovery partition.

As I am abroad in a Travelin' company how to download a full system recovery?

    Dear CherlG,

In my case, even having access HDD (via F11) no way to recover the system such that during the recovery attempt fails and show an error message that has a problem, impossible to conclude the process of recovery after 49%.

Maybe the only way will be with an external system recovery DVD.

  • Pavilion s5229uk VG238AA #ABU: System Recovery

I replaced the HDD with a SSD Crucial.  I'm trying to recover from sytem with the disks 'System Recovery' four HP I bought in 2011 when my first HARD drive died.  The system seems to load OK software from disks, but it does not install Windows.  After removing the final drive and clicking then he goes to the blue screen of HP boot but nothing happens.  I left it overnight.  I removed the SSD drive and looked at what is on the disk by using disk management.  There are two unallocated partitions and two drives E: and F: with the downloaded software, which is divided between them.

Potential problems cloning a HARD drive on an SSD is that it can be recognized as a HARD drive and miss out on important features like TRIM and became sensitive to defragmentation that could degrade the life expectancy of the reader. That most other potential driver and compatibility problems and issues make cloning a risky operation. This does not mean that it is impossible or you will get these errors for sure, but you should proceed with caution.

OK, thanks, I got it today. It seems that my hard drive is about 450 GB, which is nice. I thought that it was more room there to 58 GB. I will definitely get this fixed. He said that I have 408 GB unallocated, so now I can get it fixed. You've been a great help thank you

  • Re: Satellite recovery disk creating problem C660-10 d

I can't create a recovery using Toshiba picture disc. DVDs are dismissed as empty when they are empty. DVD R/W burning OK with Microsoft and Nero software. How can I get a fix for this problem? TIA ZIZOUETZIZOU

TOSHIBA recovery disk can be created with preinstalled Toshiba media recovery ONLY tool creator.
So I t understand why you use software from Microsoft and Nero.

Did you check user manuals document s and the chapter on the recovery media creation?

To create recovery DVDs I recommend you to use empty DVD-R virgins only.

  • Will be created after 2 years contain all updates of operating system recovery disks?

I have vista premium ServicePack one, it crashed on the weekend, so I installed two years ago, when the laptop was brand new on the recovery disks. Then I did a few days of nearly a hundred download updates; I don't want to do that again. So, is it possible to burn new disks of recovery that will contain all the updates installed more than two years?

    Thank you, Rob

    Western Australia

It depends on what computer you have. Some manufacturers allow the recovery discs once create or create from the copy of Windows on the recovery partition. Others include software to do a full system backup at any time.

Windows Home Premium does not include Betacam to make a complete PC Backup. If you want to do this you will need a third-party backup program.

  • I can create a system recovery disk that gets installed and updated Windows 7, not the preinstalled HP Vista recovery Partition?

I have a laptop HP HDX 18 that had 64-bit Windows Vista installed, with a Vista recovery on his C drive Partition.  Since then, I installed clean 64-bit Windows 7 Professional of his Microsoft licensed DVD, that I still have.  I kept with all (200 +) of Windows updates.

Now, I want to create a system (Flash drive) for this laptop recovery disk, but my concern is that he will lead the recovery in its Partition Vista original, installed at the factory.   If I use W7 administration tools installed to create a system recovery disc, it will recover the old Windows Vista or Windows 7?  In addition, it would be nice to have a system recovery disk that had the latest W7.

I'm not looking to install the drive link below; However, I prefer the system recovery disk to restore my laptop to its W7 system most recently updated, rather than start over.

What choices do I have?  Where can I find the appropriate instructions?

It's sounds close but be sure to first try it and then it will tell you how much space you need the device you choose to recover to.

    Dear experts,

Please help me on what I am making a solution for about 4 hours now...

Somehow my recovery partition is damaged, so I use the recovery disk that I created when I bought the computer.

I used the disc to start the computer and after loading files and everything on the menu of Recovery Manager "System Recovery" is grayed out.  Note that I have not changed any hardware on the computer.

    Help, please!

    Thank you!

    Hello

You did do the right thing. But you created a Win 7 recovery disk, not the game of HP recovery disks.

You can switch to Win own 10.

You will need the product key Microsoft of the COA sticker attached to the frame of your PC of 25 characters.

    Images of example COSTS:

Do a clean install of win 10 If you do not know the product key of Windows 7 on the certificate of authenticity.

Win 7 PC sometimes have problems updating to Win 10.

I really think you should get support from HP Win 7 recovery. If the Win 10 upgrade fails you can always return Win 7 If you have a Win 7 HP recovery media.

    Your choice.

  • The system recovery disk - how do without floppy drive?

I am trying to create a "system recovery disk" as part of the TOSSHIBA ASSIST (protect and fix the section).

However, before we proceed, I noted that he was invited to a 'floppy' create a recovery disc but this model without this facility data can be recorded on a CD. I didn't get throughout the procedure and find that I couldn't finish it due to no floppy drive!

Or otherwise just use the product recovery DVD - Rom supplied with the laptop in case of problem... not sure if this would hold the same data?

    Any help is appreciated!

    Hello Christine

If you look carefully on this print option (shortcut) it is written to create the CD drivers & tools and in aria info nothing follow description allows to create an external symbol to the top of the caisse de dépôt drivers & tools.

You use this shortcut, you can simply create Tools & Utilities CD and not the system recovery media. I did a few times without any problem. Equip your optical drive for CD - R, click on this shortcut, click the button BURN.

    All that s!
