Please help - Flex Kit of components for Flash AS3

I tried several examples of using flex for Flash AS3 components kit and none of them work for me. Whenever I run the "convert symbol to Flex Component Command", I get the following result:

Command has made the following changes to the FLA:
Activated permit debugging
Turned on Export SWC
Pace set to 24
FlexComponentBase component into the library
Symbol "BallComponent" can be used as a Flex component.
Select file > publish to create the SWC file for use in Flex.

Sounds OK, but after you add the SWC to the flex library, my flex application does not seem to 'see' the new component. I managed to pull in components that others have done with Flash AS3 and kit components, so I don't think I'm doing something wrong on the flex side.

I noticed that Flash, FlexComponentBase does not appear in my library after converted it my symbol to a flex component. In addition, nothing happens when I drag FlexComponentBase into my library. It just does not appear. When I go to the Properties dialog box for my exported component and try to validate mx.flash.UIMovieClip, I get the following message:

A definition for the base class is not found in the classpath. Please enter the name of a class that is defined in the classpath or enter the base class default 'flash.display.MovieClip '.

I figured there was something wrong with my installation of Flash CS3 or the Component Kit, so I uninstalled and reinstalled Flash CS3, Flex Builder and the kit of components with the same results.

I've now seen the same behavior with Flash CS3 9.0.2, Flex Builder 3 (tried beta 2 and beta 3) and the kit components 1.1.2.

Has anyone seen this behavior before?

Thanks a lot for your help. Your validation that I was doing things right and the results of the tests in your environment has really made a difference.

It turns out that my problem was not on versions of Flash/Flex/Component Kit, etc... It was my java classpath. I had a reference to an older version of xalan.jar (version 2.6.0) in my system classpath and the problem was solved when I removed it.

Flex SDK components for Flash CS4

everyone has been able to install the kit on Flash CS4: Flex for Flash CS3 components Kit? (should work on CS4 too)

Following the instructions, I run the FlexComponentKit_en\FlexComponentKit.mxp application

When I restart Flash CS4, I still don't see the "Convert symbol to Flex Component Command" line in the "Commands" menu

But it appears in the Adobe CS4 extension manager.

Please help me configure updates of Adobe Flash Player

Dear members of the Forum,
I want to manage my settings so that when an update is available, I can install. Without thinking that I checked a box that said install updates automatically. Then, I realized that if I do that it will also install McAfee security I need.
I searched online how do I get the box with three options and he said go to control and get all my programs listed, but which does not bring up the settings manager for flash player with three options on the Advanced tab.
I tried and tried to get this box on screen, but fail to do so.
The computer is old and really not very computer savvy.
Can someone help me please?

Please help to configure the router for internet connection 871W!

I just started styding for CCNA, so I'm totally new to Cisco stuff. Recently bought a router 871W and spent two days in a row trying to configure internet connection with no luck! I use the port console for the configs and SDM/CCP. Would be greateful if someone could tell me how to do simple configs of internet connection. I googled everything but it's still confusing. I can't assing all-IP ports FA 0-3. I used instead of the VLAN. But all tutorials use FA0 and when I try to assign an IP address to FA0 it gives me some L2 cannot be assigned or something... :/ And I am also confused at what address IP use for WAN.

I connected the cable between the Modem and the LAN of the PC port and copied some IP addresses which I think I have to use to configure the router for internet connection. And here they are:

ISP IP: 76.114.54.255

SUBNET: 255.255.248.0

GATEWAY: 76.114.48.1

DHCP: 69.252.97.4

DNS: 75.75.75.75

Looks like your 871w can not get a dynamic IP address: % unknown DHCP problem... No possible allocation

you could ask your ISP to perform a reset/clear MAC add and try again?

Many executives to create their own, and you should be able to use it in Flex and Flash Pro [assuming an AS3 framework].

Use photoshop remains for years. Flash downloaded every time that he told me to put up-to-date, but never used. I'd use it in my new website.
