PMD connector to motherboard?

I have a pavilion Elite e9250t, which uses a card mother MSI MS-7613. Recently, I released the hard drive cage and removed cable PMD on the motherboard instead of starting from the cage. Now I don't know where to connect the cable to the motherboard. Any help would be greatly appreciated.   Thanks Dan

It connects to one of the USB ports on the motherboard, refer to this web page, http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01946060

See you soon,.

  • Satellite X 205-S9349: broke screen connector on motherboard

    Hi guys,.

I have a little trouble with my laptop.

As you know when you buy your laptop it works very well for about a year or two, after that is starting to overheat due to accumulated dust. So, I found a tutorial to remove my X 205 and clean the radiator and fan. I bought my laptop in August 2008, so I did that, more than a few times.

But the last time I put it together, I was reckless and bent a PIN of the display on the motherboard connector.
I tried certificate but failed and he beat: smileysad:.

So I was wondering if someone can help me with the MFN this element in order to order and solve this problem. Or did someone knows where I could find it?
It is white just below the keyboard, lower right of the CPU.

I posted this thread on the forum American toshiba but all I got was seen...

    Thanks in advance.

I don t think you can ONLY replaced the connector to the screen.
As far as I know in this case authorized service providers replace the whole motherboard.

New motherboard may be more expensive than you expect so I m not quite sure if it s worth it to replace the motherboard

  • HP G620470CA: G62 - 470 CA do not load - power connector?

    I'm helping a friend with a laptop HP G62 - 470 CA.  It runs Windows 7Home Premium.

I'm a geek of very experienced computer hardware, since 1968, but only opened about 10 modern laptops - always with the help of downloaded books.

The laptop in question has only Wi - Fi networks, and I have only a Linux computer with a dial-up connection, so there is no way to connect the laptop directly to the internet from here.  And I can't view the videos.

The problem with the power connector - a common, but I've read all morning and have not yet find an answer.  There seems to be some interactions between the power brick, power conenctor, battery and motherboard problems.

Like many users, she found her power connector is intermittent, needing stirring so he could connect. As I had fixed the old laptop of his brother with a work of pig after it (soldered to the motherboard) power connector went wobbly, she asked me to look at.

When she showed me the machine, the battery was too dead to allow start-up of the machine completely.  The charge LED is not come yet a moment, and there is no visible light on the power brick itself (I don't know if there should be any on this model).

Put a meter outside the ring and the central axis, I found on 18.5V, positive pin, which looked good and is stable.  Biting moments and the cable has not changed anything.  It seemed that the power supply was the culprit.

I got it home (where I only switched) and studied the issue for several days, download of HP service documents and discovered that HP had improved their design with a nest, wiring-harness-connected socket which is more shock-resistant and easy to replace.  I told her, and she has ordered a replacement of cylinders harness + listed the number of exact model; I installed it, in the process of learning how to work the little clips on the printed ribbons cables and using a printed diagram from the bottom of the computer to save all the small screws and clips, "with circles and arrows and a paragraph to describe."

As both outlets had pinbacks resin-locked up, it was not possible to test connections.  A new differed from the former only by not having only not four tiny, rectangular holes around the hole of the central axis.  Food is not about to mate with these holes, and it lists a tension, so I wasn't expecting that to matter.  Maybe it was a feature for foreign cersions of the power brick, I thought.

I plugged it in no light, but I left in it for awhile in case only the LED was not connected.  Start the machine (including ahd been unable to boot), fortunately, he started and showed 85% battery!  However, only, which is down with the time - there was no load, or at least no more.  I checked the voltage of the charger to see if it may have been damaged by an internal problem.  I found only 13, 75 - 14.01 volts from the outside of the ring to the central pin (positive)!

Appearing to use a battery to try to light the LED of charging, I watched the cable brick and found that there are THREE sets of contact - the spindle, the outer ring and the ring INSIDE. Others showed:

4.75 - 4, 85 volts from the inside of the ring to pivot (PIN positive)

18.5 - 19 volts from the outside of the ring inside the ring (inside the positive)

Whaa?  The 18.5 was what I expected, but it was between two rings and not between a ring and a PIN.

And at this time, I noticed that from time to time, a blue (or white, I guess you'd call it) a DUCT on the connector turned on briefly, then turned red orange and outside.  Over time, it stayed white wheat longer, up to 8 seconds at a time, without showing any ability to charge the battery.

Reading much more here and besides, I noticed that many others had similar problems involving all parts of four - battery, power brick cable, connector and motherboard.  I noticed the battery test can be found in the pages of support and pulled up to HP Support Assistant to test, but the reliable program planted at startup.  It was a version of 7.something.something, the support site said that later was 12.0, so I downloaded that.  However, I can't understand how to install it on the HP machine after it (on USB) transfer to the Linux machine, and the laptop cannot get Internet at home.

WHAT can I DO to narrow down the problem?  If I know what voltages to which contacts, I can try to charging a battery nicad-multi, that would eliminate all the problems of power supply brick.

The laptop battery carries a lot of numbers, but next to the 'made in china' legend is CQ42 HP-6.  A sticker says 112B213G6LA65D9CJ83, and another with a barcode PRTNHP234BK06312120141.

That's a lot to read, I know, but I want to provide as much information as possible to help the members of the forum with kindness.  Again, the machine turns on, but fell to 18% of autonomy.

    Thank you all in advance!

Thank you, Reo51st - that clears up a lot.  As you probably know, the diagram on the power brick shows the symbol for PIN and ring only (with pin posiitve).

Since I posted this question yesterday, I have since set up a battery of 12 NiCd cells and jerry-rigged a connector with tin foil and a piece of cable insulation, and load worked.  Then I drove on Free geek, our very convenient source of Vancouver (and sink - they take your trash for reuse or recycling) of the old computer bits and $18 me have a new power brick.

I therefore declare this thread SOLVED (by me), even if the info from Reo51st certainly would have made me more confident in the test so I saw him at the time.

  • Replacement keyboard on Satellite L350

A clumsy friend spilled a glass of red wine on my L350 weekend which resulted in my keyboard malfunctioned.
No problem, I don't think should be easy to get a replacement and mount it.

However, as I took the original keyboard of the laptop I am concerned that I have damaged the connection and my replacement does not work when it arrives.

Basically, the black part of the connector has broken - does anyone know if this is considered part of the laptop or that it will be shipped with a replacement keyboard?

Any idea where I can get a replacement for the part black, if necessary.

    Any advice would be fantastic.

    Thank you.

    > Basically, the black part of the connector broke - does anyone know if this is considered part of the laptop or that it will be shipped with a replacement keyboard?

I m not very well what part you mean.
Usually, the keyboard is connected to the connector s motherboard with a flat cable.
    Do you mean the cable?

If so, then the cable is part of the keyboard and the new cable should arrive with the new keyboard. But the connector on the motherboard is not removable, and if you damage this part, you will need to replace the mobo ;(

  • Satellite A200-23U - strange Grapich/display problem

    Hello

I have a Toshiba Satellite A200-23U and it has a problem... sometimes graphics seems worse suddenly or are destroyed. A simple reboot can operate correctly, but it is very possible to reproduce... when I say that the graphics are getting worse I mean the resolution becomes a little bit worse, and the colors are unacceptable... some waves are created and the areas that were almost of the same color before the problem are now surrounded by a ring-wave , they have only one color with no shading and a few white spots are in these areas... after the restart, everything is ok...!

I think the problem happens when the laptop is hot, but I'm not sure because he appeared also when the laptop was working only a few minutes in a cold environment and sometimes the device can be turned on for long hours and very hot, but the problem does not appear... Where did you think is the problem?

The possible reasons, I can think of is the monitor or the cable that connects the graphics card with the monitor. Another reason that I n t think it's quite possible is the graphics card. I think this is less possible because if the problem exists on my laptop and I connect to another external screen as my TV, the problem still exists on the screen of the laptop, but the image on the external monitor is perfect...

I'm ready to put new and bigger (2 GB I'll put 4gp) memory ram because the graphics card uses the RAM and the RAM is very high work when I play a game or watch a move.

Do you think it will help or solve problems? What do you think I could do?

    Hi John

What then? As I see you have good test connect your laptop to the TV. Always is that this test can help you see if the problem can be related to the graphics card, but if there is no problem graphics card is probably OK and this graphic problem must relate to something else.

Of course, this virtual path, no one will be able to offer the exact diagnosis and say what can be the problem and we can only speculate what part of the material may be troublemaker.

In my opinion there must be a problem between the motherboard and display. I don t think that the display is faulty, but perhaps the cable must be exchanged, perhaps connector on motherboard make problems. It is not easy to say what to do.

Fact is that analysis only offer exact answer so I think you need professional help with this.
Maybe you should contact the closest service Toshiba and ask for help. Let them check it all and ordering new parts if necessary.

I put t think that you want to risk and disassemble the laptop everything yourself, have you?

  • power electric wiring is smaller, there are empty shells left

HP pavilion p6110y - new wiring and old pc power supply is smaller, there are left empty plugs first I took old food out but did not to see which end had extra Sockets have new power provide in and ready to plug but don't want to trial and error and close up in smoke thx for all help

    tgo2go,

The card mother p6110y stock must have a 24pin connector. The 250W power SUPPLY Bestec had that a connector 20 pins, according to specifications listed here. I can understand Frank question you. Your comment is very confused.

    Please confirm:

    1) the 24 pin motherboard.

    (2) original power supply was 20 pins.

    (3) new power supply's 24pin.

Check this page for the connectors. You will notice the capture of latch and the card mother PSU. This locking.

Does make sense for you? The clasp and are on the other side.

You can plug a power supply ATX 20 pin in a motherboard with a Connector ATX 24. The image above shows the power cable plugged into a motherboard 24 20-pin pins. A power cable 20 pin compatible only with at one end of a connector to motherboard 24 pins so you cannot insert it incorrectly.

  • CPU fan failure: Dell inspects the expedient to the customer before computers the they?

After waiting 11 days which includes I believe a week in the production of my Tower, 17/11/2015 I finally received my new Inspiron Desktop Edition Gamer (Intel). I turned on the computer and guess what I saw on the screen "CPU Fan Failure".  So now, I have to return the tower to a Dell for a tech to fix the problem with the fan.

Here's my question. Fact or not Dell inspect their product before they will deliver to their customers? Well, Dell has not delivered the product if a "CPU Fan Failure" had existed before shipment.

Unfortunately things can occur in vessels too...

Before send back you, open the case and check if the cable is correctly connected to the motherboard. The cable may have jumped out of the motherboard.

Just unplug it and plug it back to the motherboard. If it's totally off the Board, you can go to the Support page for this exact model and look for the link at the top of this page for the manual. Most service manuals show a diagram of components/connectors on motherboard and CPU fan connector must be checked.

If everything's fine, which solves the problem, so you won't have to send again.

Hello tripplem00 and welcome to the forums of Palm.

Have you tried a soft reset yet?  Use the tip of the stylus to press reset on the back of the unit.  (You will need to unscrew the end or at the rear of the stylus to reveal the PIN to reset.)    If you are technically inclined and you have a screwdriver Trox #5, you can also open your T5 and make sure that the digitizer and display (one cable) cable is in place on the connector of motherboard of the T5.

  • Satellite A30 151: motherboard power connector broken

I have an old toshiba A30-151 that has fallen down a while a go because of the power connector snap into the power socket. This had happened before at the back of the power supply, but I managed to solder back together. Unfortunately it broke again and has so the PIN inside the socket.

So after having managed to get into the nitty gritty of the laptop and have the motherboard out, I had a replacement for welded to the. Problem is there is a missing piece. I have a picture of this here:

    http://i150.Photobucket.com/albums/S83/Dalio1984/motherboard.jpg

It was a picture of him before you put the Jack on. The chip missing normally goes where the right red circle is. Now I have not tested yet cause I have to go through the process of implementation of back together which is tomorrow nights work. I was wondering if it will work without it, if I can get a replacement part for this, or if I could figure out what it is (for example a resistor) replace it with a piece of stock to its equivalent.

I realize this is probably a little extreme, but any help in this matter would be appreciated.

    Hello

A figured out if this will work without this chip?

I don t think that someone here in the forum will be able to give you an answer exactly.
The drawing of the motherboard is necessary and that these documents are not easy to find because the manual are not:(pour usage public)

So I hope you can find more information in internet

    Good luck

  • Satellite A60 - how to fix a female connector on the motherboard?

I have a Satellite A60 which is since 2005. About 6 months ago the CPU fan started running all the time and recently, the computer began to fade.

Thinking that it is ongoing overheating, I decided to completely disassemble the computer, clean it thoroughly, remove the old thermal paste and install one DIMM memory more important.

Well, everything goes like clockwork, until I tried to put the connector of the power on switch in the plug. It wasn't easy so I put gently a little more pressure on the connector using tweezers. At this time, the socket broke apart from the motherboard.

I don't have the tools for a welding job, but could a competent technician successfully reattach or is there a new mobo in my future.

    Thanks for the tips!

    Dan

    Hello

To be honest also don t know how to solve this problem, because I m not a technician for laptop and I believe that you will not find the technicians of laptop here because it s only a user to user forum.

Regarding this issue, please contact an authorized service provider. Talk to the technicians and buy a cup of coffee. I'm sure they'll help you ;)

  • Connector motherboard 8 pin power

I just bought a HP Envy. I thought that it was a "pwer" machine but with a bottom of the line video card, I found that it was not. I bought a GEForce GTX 760 empty card. There are not enough connectors...

So I sent an email to HP, no answer. I then bought a power Corsai CX750M.

A PIN is not subject to the same connector 8 pins on the motherboard.

Is the connector on the motherboard a non-standard configuration?

I already had to buy food and video card, I have to get a motherboard somewhere now?

    Tim T.

    Hello

You might want to examine the connections of power at this link.  The eight pins cable power supply EPS PCI motherboard connector is fabicated differently compared to the 8 power cable PCI Express PIN to avoid cable connectors goes into the bad connections on motherboards and usually also PCI-E video cards.  Notice the difference in pin voltages and stitching of soil.

In addition, the eight pins connector EPS will divide into two 4-pin connect to allow the connector to work with motherboards that have only a connector 4 power pins.

  • Tecra A6 - keyboard to motherboard connector

    Hi-
I have a friend who needed to replace the keyboard on its Tecra A6 (due to a missing key).

She took the original keyboard, but doing so damaged the connector on the motherboard itself. If you are familiar with the connector, you should know what I mean - even if it's hard to describe. The connector has the part that is connected to the motherboard which accepts the Ribbon and then, there is that move you toward the screen to release, or away from the screen to fix in part 2. I guess you could call it the passage of the clamp.

Anyway, the clip is completely out, with a side of cracking, falling to the ground, never to be reviewed. (I know, I know).

I want to see is if, away to find a dead machine where I can get the part 'clamp', is this something I can buy somewhere?

What do you call the part?

    Thank you

Hey man this is really complicated. I understand what you mean exactly, but I do not believe, you can order these small parts anywhere. You may have some success by authorized service provider.

How to call this part? :) In my opinion you don't need a special name for it. Just explain that you need. Each of the specialists will understand what you want.
