  Hello and thanks for the advice. Unfortunately system restore did not go far enough. BUT I found a way. I downloaded google chrome and since it works... why not with IE or Firefox is a mystery to me, but now it works... Thanks again for the advice.

• When I try to open the Solution Explorer, another application opens.

  Recently I started having this problem where, when I try to open any item Panel or the window of the Explorer, one application other that Explorer would open. At first, it was PakkISO that would open up. I noticed when I tried to open my trash and a command line window popped up. I tried right clicking on the Recycle Bin and clicking on 'Open', but the option was not there. Instead, the first item in the context menu has been 'PakkISO '. So I uninstalled PakkISO. Now, instead of PakkISO, Sandboxie opens when I try to open Solution Explorer, and it is also replaced PakkISO in the context menu.

  At first, I thought that it might be a file system error, so I ran a disk check, but that did not work. This seems to be a registry error, which I can have when I used Revo or IObit Uninstaller, but I have no idea how to solve this problem. I can't use system restore because for some reason any that it won't keep more than one restore point and I just created a restore point when I used Revo Uninstaller to remove PakkISO.

  I noticed that the issue of context menu does not affect my shortcuts in the control panel or the control panel link on the start menu.

  How can I fix it?

  I suggest you upgrade on site. To perform an upgrade in-place, you need to have the Windows 7 installation disc.

  Have you turned off UAC? Try to turn it back on.

  Because Windows 8 applications require UAC to be turned on to work properly.

  I had the same thing, could not take pictures or video when I had disabled UAC. Turned it back and everything started working again.

I also discovered that my photos folder is no longer work and Windows said it can be removed safely. I can't access my photos, music or videos. I think the problem might be that my photos have no place to be stored, but I need to know how to solve this problem.

  I found a solution to my problem! In another post, someone had the same message about how the library.ms could be deleted, but it was empty. They removed the libraries by clicking the option libraries from left to right, and then click. I then clicked on "restore deleted files" and my folders returned with the restored elements. I could then take pictures and videos because they had a place to be stored.

  Is happening in only Internet Explore or chrome or Mozilla?

  Try resetting IE

  1. Quit all programs, including Internet Explorer.
  2. If you use Windows 7 or Windows Vista, click Start. Type the following command in the Start Search box and press ENTER:
     Inetcpl.cpl

     The Internet Options dialog box appears.

  3. Click the Advanced tab.
  4. Under settings reset Internet Explorer, click reset. Then click reset again.

     Click to select the Remove personal settings check box if you also want to delete the browsing history, search providers, accelerators, home pages, the Tracking and ActiveX filtering of data protection.

  5. When Internet Explorer finishes resetting settings, click close in the Reset Internet Explorer settings dialog.
