When I try to play a video I have a video with no sound
original title: Windows Vista/windows media player/videonosound
my windows media player will play a dvd with the sound when I try to play a video that I have a video with no sound. I tried to upload an ogg codec so I can get a little sound of my video.
Help please.
Angie line Graham
Although Microsoft does not provide a feedback about which codecs you need, you'll probably want to install a free app called MediaInfo that will analyze the file you are trying to play and to determine what exact codec you need to play the file. I walk through the process of fix codec errors in this tutorial on MediaInfo.
If it's an OGG file as you indicate, the best thing to do is to play any other application, but Windows Media Player, new support for the codec for OGG in WMP is ugly, but I would check double what you need first. -
I get an error COOD11B1 code when you try to play a video clip. __
I get a COOD11B error code when I try to play a video clip.
Hi Pat dubois,
1. what type of video file that you are trying to play?
If you receive error C00D11B1 code,
Cause one. It may be a problem with the components of security of your digital media player to play the files on your computer
Follow the instructions in the article given below, because it can help you solve the problem
Windows Media Player C00D11B1: http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/C00D11B1
Go to http://drmlicense.One.Microsoft.com/Indivsite/en/indivit.asp , then you will need to get the update. You need to download this patch to remove the error code and everything works again.
Also take ownership of the files you are trying to play by right clicking on the file and taking possession.
B cause. If you are probably trying to play a file that uses a codec that is not on your computer. I suggest you to download and install the latest pack of codecs for Windows Media Player 12 on your computer. Search using your search engine preferred for the third-party codec packs.

computer freeze when you try to watch a video stream (only) from any Web site
When I try to watch streaming video, my computer freezes, the screen goes black. It will start to play the video to say about... maybe 30 seconds. The computer screen will sweep for a fraction of a second and that's it. It crashes, the screen goes black, it makes that sound you get when the computer crashes. So I have to do a hard reboot to take control of the computer again. I've only had this computer for about 120 days, did not buy good warranty for the software and now I'm stuck.
I got a warning of "problem-solution" and he mentioned a question with the ATI card. I have ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470 on an Inspiron7010. I tried to reload the OS. did not work.

Black screen when you try to play a video rental
HI all, I rented a movie from iTunes and I got everything updated iTunes and OsX but whenever I'm trying to play the screen is all black and the movie will not play. I can see screen grab when I go to the chapters, but could not get anything to play. I tried for authorizing and reauthorizing my computer - I have a MacBook Air 11 '' end 2013.
abyone else has this problem and have you found a solution for this?
Same question. I recently bought a new MacBook Pro & today is the first time I tried to watch a movie in iTunes. Purchased or rented movies will play. I, too, only have a black screen with only the controls (rewind, pause, reading, etc) visible. No chapters listed, just the cover of the movie at the top + names of administrators. Was on the phone with Apple Care for 2 hours and they could not understand.
When the Senior Adviser, I was speaking with iTunes contacted for credit, told him they were aware of the problem and working on it. He said that there is a problem with some Macs, but not other Apple devices.
Strange that iTunes would have not contacted Apple Care technical support to let them know about the issue. Also, before I spoke with the Chief Adviser, I was talking with someone else to Apple Care, who had also made contact with iTunes to try to resolve the problem by return the video rental for me and it has not been said on the issue.
It was about 3 hours ago.
Advise senior said that she would send me a mail with my # case and contact information so I could follow, but she didn't. She took my phone #, so if all goes well, she will call to let me know when the problem is solved (not holding my breath however).

Alternatively, if I try to publish on my computer Windows Movie make just freezes. My pc is up-to-date with all available updates.
