Polar coordinates makes oval.

I worked on a simple rectangle, that goes from the top of the screen down. In addition, I have an adjustment layer with the effect of polar coordinates to this topic. I put rect to ovals, 100%. Now normally this would make the rectangle a perfect circle that moves outward from the Center, correct? But mine is oval rather than perfect circles. He did perfect circles very well about an hour ago, but now, no matter what I do, I get the ovals. Anyone know what is happening? It does not make sense to me.

Check the format of the pixels in your publication. Unless you absolutely positively 100% exactly what you are doing you should always work in square pixels.

I solved this problem by using the "Draw text at the point" vi and trig simple to calculate the coordinates of the origin of entry.

I think the ability to do it automatically would be a very good addition to the next version of LV

trace in polar coordinates

In my program, I managed to get the RADIUS and the degree (r and theta), how can I trace or draw a line through that point? Even if I convert it to cartessian ready, I can't use the FitLine IMAQ. VI because they need more of a point. Any body has a dea on how to do?

Well, you need to define a second point, because there are infinite lines that can pass through a single point. Looks like you know what is the second point, even if you don't realize it. Should she go through (0,0), or it should be horizontal, tangents, vertical etc.,? This response should give you a method to get a second point.

Effectiveness of the Cartesian to spherical coordinate of the conversion

I use a VI in the LV 2014 distribution called ".vi NI_AALPro.lvlib:3D Conversion of coordinates (scalar)". The calculation seems to be pretty simple, and I've attached a VI that does this. However, there is a problem with the calculation of the polar angle. From what I've read online, this is just arctan (y / x), but I get incorrect values when x is negative (but not when there is negative).

From what I've read on the site of Wolfram, "the inverse tangent must be properly set to the right quadrant of (x / y) into account." I searched online for more details on the calculation, but I'm lost. Any trig works there who can help me?

Definitions are extremely important in the definition of coordinate systems. You include with your VI Cart_to_Sph documents of many errors and inconsistencies.

This is a convention that I use and which seems to be acceptance quite wide (I'm not sure that's the convention of Wolfram, however).

Let X, Y and Z is a right coordinate system. That P is a point whose X, Y, Z coordinates we know. Define a system of spherical polar coordinates (SSC) as follows:
- Project of a line from the origin to P.
- RADIUS (rho) - length of the line from the origin to P.
- The line of the project on the X - Y plane.
- Azimuth (theta) - measured Angle to the left of the x-axis for this proposed line. By convention, theta varies less pi (radians), pi.
- Polar angle (phi) - the angle between the axis Z (or 'pole') and the line from the origin to P. By convention, including phi between 0 and pi.
Under this system of coordinates, the following code (very similar to Altenbach, which uses a slightly different coordinate system) cards X, Y, Z in Rho, Theta, Phi:

We will check certain quantities of 'known '. Start with the x-axis of the unit, [1, 0, 0]. This clearly has length, Rho = 1. Technically, since the z plans on the origin, the Azimuthal angle cannot be properly defined (the X coordinates and are 0), so we'll do a loophole 'math' and just say that it is zero. The polar angle is easy - the angle between the Z axis and the pole, the Z axis is 0, so Phi = 0. Now "do the math". Put [0, 0] in the first Re / Im polar gives [0, 0], so theta = 0. The second d / Im to polar takes [1, 0] [1, 0], Rho Yes = 1 and Phi = 0.

It is easy to show (in particular by the coding of this place and put in test of numbers) that negative quantities are working properly. Rho is always non-negative, Phi is always in the range 0... PI and theta of pi-pi, with the sign depends on the sign of Y (as it should).

How to make a gradual glare in there

Got a presentation folder, I have to recreate... has a few rockets 'radial gradient' in it (see table). How to do? Is there a tutorial online for something like that? It is a work of 3 colors, with black printing gradients on a blue background.

The usual way to produce radial bars, light or whatever, is with polar coordinates. Start with a "square" much larger than your finished chart canvas (you will only use the bottem left quadrant). The place is important.

If you want the light rays through the trees look, fill a new layer with filter > make fibers. A low variance and the average force put into works, but experiment to the best effect. Color is not important, so I just use black and white. Now go to filter > distortion > polar coordinates by using the "rectangular to polar. Select the desired bit and layer on your image with a blending mode.

In your case, you will need to make a vertical bar in the form of selection on a new layer, then run a black to Transparent top gradient. Make a bunch of copies; one of them will move to the right of the page and use the move tool spacing tools in the Options bar to spread across the page. You'll need them for spaced everything close, so do a lot of layers.

Now flatten the layers bar, (but NOT the white BG layer) and use the polar coordinates. Select the lower left corner and maybe squash vertically with free transform.

I didn't give a lot of details, so ask if there is anything you are unsure of.

HP50g: Strange table HP50g Representation when polar mode

Hi all

I noticed that under certain conditions, an array of real numbers is represented very strangely on the HP50g.

The situation is, I have my polar coordinates to the value and I create an array of real numbers using ARRY->.

For example, in the RPN, I put 1, 2 and 3 on the stack, type 3 and then use the command ARRY, telling the calculator that I intend to create a table of 3 elements by using the 3 previous values on the stack->.

I expect to see is a table with items 1, 2 and 3, but this isn't what's happening. Instead, I get the polar form (1.2) for the first two elements, then the number 3 (see image).

If I change from rectangular coordinates table shows what I expected, but it still seems strange to the polar form what is happening. Conversely, if I create the matrix using other methods, for example, the MTRW application, it does not happen even under the same conditions.

Any ideas on the issue?

Just a wild guess: does still happen after running the CASCFG command, which resets the CASE settings to their default values? I tried many settings of the indicator and have not been able to reproduce the behavior you describe, but I still think it's a flag setting causing your trouble. Unless you have an installed library that changes the display, whereby the Paris are open.

Straight line between two polar points

Hi all

I created a VI that could be traced a Polar curve according to time-distance formula. The VI has present Mag and target Mag. each with its own angle (Polar form that is (r, theta)). I want to draw a straight line from the current point to the target point. I used the time-distance formula to trace the scale and used the same slope to point the angle. However, I get a curved path as shown in the attachment.

Could someone tell me what formula can be used to draw a straight line from the current point to the target point?

Identify a segment of circle

You can use the nodes property to the image (right click on Segmentkreis in the block diagram, choose Create property node). The Position property you give the coordinates of the upper-left corner of the image in pixels and the size of the area draw you will give the width and height of the image. Now if you know the coordinates of the mouse, you can express this in polar coordinates from the center of the image. If the RADIUS indicates that the mouse is 'in the wheel', you can use the angle argument to determine in what segment you are. Note that your code has Segments and Angle start as parameters, so your sub - VI 'Where is the mouse?' will need to know these values, as well.

PS - of interest is that you have created an image with a bounding box 0, 0 and 500, 500. As expected, the original of the picture property is 0, 0. Not so anticipated, is that the size of area to draw is 498, 498, as if the outermost pixels are not part of the area to draw. A small detail, but it can cause an "off-by-one" error when you try to calculate the focal point.

Moral of the story - write some code and test cases, do some tests to make sure that you understand how things like properties work.

Issue of marquee in Photoshop 2015.0.0

I have a weird problem with the marquee using Photoshop 2015.0.0 tool
Once I crop an image (or a screenshot), the brand makes random lines in different areas. Lines appear differently each time with no particular order. Deselection does nothing! Zoom in/out does nothing more.
I also have Photoshop installed 2015.5, but it was very unstable and support Adobe helped me install the 2015.0.0 previous version until they can create a more stable release version. Any ideas?

Adobe Extension question

Why my original message would be placed in the group discussion of the SDK? I'm looking for using General photoshop - Claris emailer extension is provided by Adobe not a third party. So can this please be placed in the General newsgroup. Here is the original post...

Brand new, first install the latest version of Photoshop. Can't wait to see the Extension of Claris Emailer Photoshop but unfortunately fails with
"The extension Adobe EMailer could not be loaded because it was not properly signed.
Thought it was a little strange, as it was a "Virgin" installation Research has shown an Article to address withdrawal/UN-Installing Photoshop, this deletion still records then re-installing Photoshop. Unfortunately this isn't work, and still the same error. Anyone have any ideas on how to get this extension to work?

Thanks - will extract the Manager of third-party extensions. It seems that the problem has been resolved. In line with support and after a long struggle of fond troubleshooting the extension is not installed correctly or the version provided is not fair. Downloaded the installed extension and now works. Bizarre indeed but everything works now, which is great because it is a nice tool to send quickly previews to customers.

Search for the info system VRAM to your graphics card, which should be more than 512MB, according to the minimum requirements.

[can also be controlled via the Photoshop preferences > 3D > Total available VRAM]

Additionally, make sure that your graphics card drivers are up to date.

My CC PS refuses to acknowledge my GPU

Hi all
my CC PS crashes quite often and is not recognize my GPU:
I'm sure, this is related to the fact that I have two cards installed: a Quadro FX 380 LP and a PowerColor TurboDuo R7 260 X OC (I have two monitors and it requires 2 LUTs - therfore two cards!)
If I remove and uninstall the Nvidia card, everything works fine. After installing it, I have this problem.
Recently, I have reinstalled windows - until I got the same configuration and everything was fine.
So far, I have reinstalled the drivers and made sure that I installed the latest chipset drivers.
Any ideas?

Well, it's exactly what I thought.

It has nothing to do with the lut. The Spyder Express only supports a single monitor. There is no way, it is possible to work with two screens. They scheduled it deliberately - if you want the multi-monitor support we must go back to the Elite or Pro edition.

Many people tried to deceive the Spyder Express for multiple monitor use. It does not work. Whatever you do, each new profile you make replaces the previous one. Even if you rename the profiles of boards and switch monitors autour.

3D does not work in Adobe Photoshop CC 2015

3D has worked on my Mac Air in 2012. The 3D functionality worked for me when I used Photoshop CS6 extended. He never said that my graphics card any problem. This annoys me especially because Cinema 4 d R17 works which is even better for rendering and sculpture and didn't tell me that my graphics card can be "exceeded". I sometimes use the 3D rendering engine of the Photoshops to make some of my just 3D objects because it was more convenient. But no more.

I didn't know until I did some checking, but whenever someone complains about the 3D plugins, something is wrong.

Chris Cox programs Photoshop and knows what needs to be in the reporting system.

It's sad to say, you have a fake copy and we cannot fix this.

Creating an image of style star?

I have a small question of Photoshop, I am modest to the PS, but I'm stumped on this. I'm looking to make a graph similar to this style? Something similar.

Close the two sortof, and I've played around with the settings but don't understand well either to look quite right. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The first tutorial that you access is the key. If you go back, and put your star through the polar coordinates filter [polar to rectangular], you get this:

So what you want to start with. Looks like blurry with a gradient stripes pattern, although I think that the gradient and the color purple was added after rectangular to polar, as was probably the full box above, since sometimes you can get moiré near the Center.

Other things to try to throw into the mix are the wind and linear motion of filters blur.

Polar coordinates makes oval.
