  Hello. Recently, I had a virus on my Alienware Area-51 m15X. It finally did my restore my computer to its factory site. Most of the drivers was missing. I reinstalled my wireless card driver and the graphics driver, but the graphics driver does not work correctly. I uninstalled and went on the Web from NVIDIA site to reinstall the appropriate driver, and it still doesn't work right. I used Driver Sweeper to clean all the files on my HARD drive that are associated with the NVIDIA device in safe mode. I can't send it because it is not under the manufacturer's warranty, and I have little money to send it to Best Buy Geek Squad.   I solved the problem. For future use, if you own an Alienware or use the NVIDIA 8600 M GT card, uninstall the driver using Device Manager and use the driver Sweeper to remove all traces of the driver. Once this done, do not restart, but go on the alienware website and download the NVIDIA driver (you must know your operating system, ect. ect. for the driver) and install it.   Remove the two side panel access doors. Remove your signs of topping top skinny black acrylic finish on both sides of the case so you can access to the fins, their hinges and screws.   What bothers me is that I had three former PIN of Kingston 4 GB RAM DDR3 1600 MHz 240 DIMM which total up to 12 GB of RAM and the XMP worked very well with them before they were 1600 MHz.

  Intel Core i7 980 Extreme 6 c with 12 MB of Cache

  Windows 7 Ultimate

  And I certainly don't have the answer, but I'll remember these points:

  1. I think that you can set manually nothing XMP adjustable (but with more control).

  2 machines often memory need to be slowed down when you are near maximum capacity look maintenance manuals.

  3 area-51 has never been tested or even allow the 8 GB DIMMs. You are in the new territories.

  4. If you really need 24 GB (and it works at 1333) then the 267 speed drop is insignificant.

  New Alienware Area 51 R2 (end of 2014) happened the month last in January 2015. Not tried any DVD or Blue-ray until yesterday. The optical drive eject button does not work in windows pro 8.1, but soft eject works in click with the right button on the drive and select "eject". The button works also before starting Windows start. I invited it must be a software problem and could be fixed by updating some drivers. But I googled a lot and can't find solutions for other Alienware models, but not for the Office of area 51 R2.

  Hi Polly.

  You may have a problem with an extension or plugin that obstructs normal behavior of your Firefox. Have you tried to disable all add-ons (just to see) to see if Firefox goes back to normal?

  In all cases, prove a screenshot would be useful.

  thought I'd post here here as having a few issues with my Windows Mail but my desktop computer suffers the same problems and on a Vista forum where I posted my problem a few very useful told me who to try to solve the problems.

  One of them suddenly realized I had said my laptop is a Toshiba, and apparently the Desktop SMS and Windows Mail are not working together so that the person suggested unless I use it to uninstall apparently amongst the technically trained its known that these two programs do not like each other and explain why my office is not the problem but the laptop don't.

  After you have reset the Touch of Windows Mail (tutorial on a site http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/ vista) wood don't be put off by vistax64 as site 32 and 64 and followed great reset Windows Mail from Brink (do not restore all mail) then uninstalled Desktop SMS and touch of the drink no more mail questions that gave me problems almost every day with marking than reading/sending project messages.

  So had to click forward then remove those bits and complete the email to send and touch wood since doing these two things as soon as send an email to the box shipment or project to obtain the number of emails in parentheses, whereas before it wouldn't happen unless I closed the program and then reopened.

  Hoping that these solutions have solved my problem and wanted to share it with someone else who wants to read this thread and you recommend Vista 64 because they are all very useful there and speak in non-technical terms for those of us not technically trained.
