Pop - up in a program that fails.

This is the message of the pop up:

Expression:! gOpenDatabase

For more information on how your program can cause an assertion

failure, see the Visual C++ documentation on asserts

I guess that I have installed a program that does that, but I need to know who is dealing. Installation of the United Nations.

Everything seems to work properly. Anyone recognize it?

  • How can I stop my Firefox browser to prevent click on support of families, a program that opens an email announcements on safelists, to open URLS in ads by e-mail?

    Hello fellow-users of Mozilla Firefox,.

I have send email ads using 20 different safelists daily. To get credit for sending these ads, I click on ads email sent by other subscribers.
Since the beginning of this year I used a click income- http://www.clickearner.net/ - to help speed up this task. Click on support of families 'captured '.
each safelist and open e-mail each URL announced in each email. It's very fast and I didn't close each tab
display of the URL. Credits by clicking on the URL have been added to my lists reliable accounts.

For a week, without doing me anything at all, my click income stopped opening emails automatically as was the case for
several months since I started using it. Click support assistance claimed that Firefox prevented the program to open the URL in a new tab whenever it extracted an advertisement by e-mail. True that, yesterday, when I watched a click back in action I've seen a pop - up from Firefox saying something like 'Firefox prevented... ". "I couldn't read the rest as the pop-up disappeared immediately. Who was the only one
    the moment I saw him.

Right now I have to manually open each URL to see the ad and win credits. It's a very slow process, all the same when I open emails in my gmail account. There is no need for me to subscribe to click income. And it takes forever for me to earn credits to all reliable lists.

I would appreciate it a lot if one of you people would help me overcome this glitch. I look forward to hearing from you and thank you very much in anticipation.

    Kind regards

    Tom Graciano

You can try to disable the popup blocker in Firefox.

"3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Options > content

You will find a checkbox for 'block pop-up windows '. Assuming that it is checked, uncheck it.

This is back to the desired behavior?

  • I constantly get a pop-up from AVG saying that my computer needs to be restarted.

No matter how many times I reboot my computer, I always get a pop-up from AVG saying that I need to restart. I called AVG about it, and they said they couldn't help me.

The problem is that Firefox is not being updated completely.

Try to clean the installation of a newer version of Firefox.

Some Firefox problems can be solved by performing a clean reinstall. This means that you remove Firefox and all the leftover program files and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps one by one:

    1. Download the latest version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org office and save the installer to your computer.
    2. Once the download is complete, close all Firefox Windows (click Exit in the file menu or Firefox) and confirm all future messages.
    3. Now, uninstall Firefox by following the steps mentioned in the article to Uninstall Firefox .

IMPORTANT: Under Windows, the uninstall program has the option to remove your personal data and settings. Make sure that you have not check this option. If not all of your bookmarks, passwords, extensions, customizations and other Firefox data user profile will be removed from your computer.

After uninstalling Firefox on Windows, delete the folder of the program "Mozilla Firefox", located by default in one of the following locations:

    • (Windows 32-bit) C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
    • (On 64-bit Windows) C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Firefox
    1. Go to the Windows Start menu and click on 'computer '.
    2. In the Explorer window that opens, double-click on disk Local (c) to open the C:\ drive.
    3. Find the folder "Program Files (x 86)" or "Program Files".
      • On 32-bit Windows, double-click the Program Files folder to open it.
      • On 64-bit Windows, you'll see a folder "Program Files (x 86)" AND a "Program Files" folder. Open the Program Files (x 86) folder.
    4. You are looking for a folder of Mozilla Firefox . If you find one, right click and select delete and confirm that you want to move the folder to the trash.

Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:

    1. Double-click on the downloaded Setup file and go through the steps in the installation wizard.
    2. Once the wizard is completed, click to open Firefox directly after clicking the Finish button.

Please report back to see if this helped you!

Before you start the troubleshooting steps, I need the information required.

If all else fails, you can try Windows Install Cleanup Utility from Microsoft to remove all traces of the installation of the program. Note that this program is not taken in charge my MS, so you need to use it carefully.

  • Will there be security of Microsoft (or any other company) programs that actually work?

I'm currently under Windows Vista Home Premium, Service Pack 2 on a Dell Studio 450, 64 bit OS, 4 GB of RAM.  For security, I have the full licensed version of McAfee (including firewalls, anti-Spam, Phishing, & scanning in real time, by email, online, etc.).  In addition to this, I also have Windows Firewall, Windows Defender, and a program of detection of advertising.  Everything I use in full mode and take full advantage of the guarantee that they are supposed to offer.

So you can imagine my surprise when, after having problems with my monitor of all things, I put a manual scan, which detected a Trojan horse and two viruses.  I checked the log files, nothing has been detected up to me defining manual tests.  No attempt had even been "noticed".  After seeing the results, I went and double checked to make sure that everything was on and functional... that they were all.

I took care of the intrusions and then did a little research on them.  Everything that I could find & learned was that it was more trouble than the threats, they were all low-risk to the computer and my network.  A site even quoted the Trojan horse as being the lowest of the Totem virus!

It is rather a question of two parts: 1. What is the purpose using programs all the time, and still less pay for them, if they don't work?  If this small 'GNAT' of a virus could do on my machine, what on Earth will keep a virus really high-risk to become?  2. has someone at - he found a program that does not really work to keep stuff on your device?
I would like any input, advice or suggestions that you have!
    Thanks for reading!

The problem that have security software providers, is that they see a virus before they work how to detect and remove. There is still a window of opportunity for the virus before that definition updates are shipped out. If the component in real time of the anti-virus program can fail, but it is picked up by a scan a few days later. Most of the antivirus programs include components that examines what a program is to try to detect anything suspicious. But it is not foolproof either.

There are steps to take to protect yourself from such that

    • Run as standard user and not an administrator. This can make it more difficult to install malware.
    • Do not install a program if you didn't not go get her. For example, if you go to a site and it tells you you need to install something to view the content
    • Make sure that Microsoft updates are applied as soon as possible
    • Third-party software keep up to date. Malicious software exploits vulnerabilities in popular programs such as Java, Adobe Flash Player and Adobe Reader. If you do not have Java, uninstall it. You can check if you have vulnerable versions of programs with the of Secunia PSI http://secunia.com/vulnerability_scanning/personal
    • For advanced users, EMET can be used to make exploitation of vulnerability more difficult http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=1677
