I get a pop up when you use google chrome, which says that "your internet connection is controlled - this extension took control of your proxy etc settings."

Chrome is a Google product, I recommend to ask Google!

  • Blocker is enabled in IE9, also tried Google Chrome and still get the pop up windows.

Blocker is enabled in IE9, also tried Google Chrome and still get the pop up windows.  Popus mount on most but not all websites regardless of the browser used.  Most are a square add in the lower left corner - some with a VCR command prompt.  I don't know how to get rid of them.  I was wondering that if I had a virus that is allowing them to appear - especially since I also noticed that when I click on the links on some Web sites, the link is instead directed to something more than one character of advertising and not where it was supposed to go.  I use MS Security Essentials and also run Malwarebytes periodically.  Aslso ran "Microsoft SafetyScanner" and no sign of a virus or malware.  Someone at - it ideas?

Just for fun, take a look at this website because it has some great information for the verification of the malware, etc.. You may need to do your scans in safe mode.

  • Addition of Google Chrome, now Safari does not open, impossible to link electronic mail links.  Just received message "Safari is closed."  Tried deleting 3rd party add ons. Is went into preferences, Safari is the default browser, but it does not open.

    Third party extension and plug-ins?

If Safari is slow, unresponsive, which closes unexpectedly, or has other issues

The problem may be caused by a Safari Extension, Internet plug-in or another add-on.

The safari Extensions, Internet plug-ins, and other modules are designed to improve or customize the browsing experience. Modules are widely available on the Internet, and some are installed as part of an application or other software. If you have Add-ons installed, an add-on might be at the root of the issue.

If the problem is the unwanted pop-up windows, advertisements and graphics while surfing on the web, discover how to remove the ad-injection (adware) from your Mac software.

    Disable the Safari Extensions

You can disable Extensions Safari to learn if all are causing the problem.

    1. In the Safari menu, choose Preferences.
    2. Click the Extensions icon, and then select an extension from the list.
    3. Uncheck the box enable disable this extension.

If turning off an extension solves the problem, look for updates of the extension by clicking Update in the lower left corner of the window. Or remove the extension by clicking on the button uninstall.

Remove Internet plug-ins and other add-ons.

You can remove Internet plug-ins and other add-ons to see if everything is the origin of the problem. To find them, quit Safari and open these folders in library:

    • The library folder at the top level of your hard drive. Open it from the Finder by choosing go > go to folder in the menu bar. Then type /Library and then click OK.
    • The record library in your home folder. Open it by organizing the Option while choosing go > library in the menu bar.

The folders in the library contains the following folders for modules. Move all the files in these folders to the trash.

    • Internet Plug-Ins
Do not remove the default Browser.plugin, nslQTScriptablePlugin.xpt, Composer.webplugin of Quartz or QuickTime Plugin.plugin.
    • Input methods
    • InputManagers
    • ScriptingAdditions

If the removal of the files in these folders solves the problem, quit Safari again and gradually put the files until you find the one at the origin of the problem:

    1. Open the Recycle Bin and select one of the files that you removed. Chose file > back up. The file back to its folder.
    2. Open Safari and see if the problem returns.
      • If the issue is returned, you have identified the add-on causing the problem. Do not use or contact its manufacturer for an updated version.
      • If the question does not return, quit Safari and put back another file.
  • When I use Firefox to display Oracle WebLogic EM, Firefox will not display the scroll bar on some pages. But Google Chrome.

It is a problem specific to Oracle Web Logic EM.

In our society, we use the logical Web as a basis for the application server.

In the EM logic web server, users can use a Web Logic EM (EM is a portal to view processes on Web Logic application) to verify the data.

I found when I use EM to check online XML, sometimes the page does not appear the scroll bar.

If I use Google Chrome or Opera, and do the same thing, the page will display scroll bar.

But I need Firefox because it is my main browser.

    How to overcome this issues?

  • Version 15 continues to display the bar of Google Chrome blue but v14 didn't once I clicked "no thanks." How to get rid of the blue Google bar?

On the Google home page, there is a blue bar that reads-
"Discover a faster way to surf the web. Install Google Chrome no thank you'.

My previous version of Firefox, v14 something, wouldn't show this blue bar once that I didn't choose "thank you."

the '' no thanks '' has no effect on Firefox v15.

Just register to post these tips for those who want to get rid of the annoying blue of google local.
I recommend to use Ad-Block Plus for this purpose. When you are on Google and the blue pop up thing, click on the Ad-Block Plus logo in the bottom left of your Firefox and select 'open blockable items '. It blocks everything (or once you spot to be at the origin of the pop - up) scripts.
    This should help.

This morning I had clicked on a pop-up and I clicked it and it changed my main browser, Google Chrome, and I need to go back to Firefox. I'm an actress, and I can not now submit on my regular sites... Help!

In the Options dialog box, on the Advanced tab, you can make Firefox default browser. Of course, you will need boot Firefox from its icon on the desktop or in the start menu > all programs.

    In Firefox, there:

Orange Firefox button or classic menu Tools > Options > advanced

Look for the button "check now".

    A little luck?

    Hello

    ·         What anti-virus program do you use?

.         What operating system do you use?

    ·         When exactly do you get the firewall warning message?

    ·         In the face of this problem when you use Internet Explorer or Google chrome?

If you see any suspicious pop ups, unwanted toolbars, redirects, strange resultsor other unexpected behavior on your computer, you may have been deceived by installing malicious software (also known as 'malware') on your computer.  This behavior is known as the browser hijacking.

    Method 1:

To correct your hijacked browser I suggest to follow the steps outlined in the article below and check if it helps to solve the problem:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/spyware/browserhijacking.aspx

    Method 2:

I also suggest you to download and run the latest Microsoft Scanner on your computer and check to see if it helps:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: the data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means there is a risk of data loss.
