  This problem occur due to the configuration of Adobe Acrobat Reader, blocking the feature/functionality required by the controller.

  See the following steps, which will help solve the problem.

  a. launch Adobe Reader.

  b. choose Edit and preferences of Adobe.

  c. click (protection) and uncheck "Enable protected at Startup Mode".

  d. click on the OK"" button.

  e. output drive.

  For my flex app, I want my client can save their configuration files for display and it can use next time. So there must be a pop-up window to show file names and promte a user window between the name of the file.
  
  I know there are two possible ways to do this:
  First, save the file to the web service and then download on the local machine and vice versa, download the file to the web service and the flex application then read these web service configuration files.
  
  I don't know if this method will expose more information about our server or not. Just that I'm not sure that the question of security in this way.
  
  Second, simply save all the files for the web service based on the user name, and then I use popUpManager to create two popup windows to interact with users in order to get the name of the file.

  I don't know why your PDF is coming as 0 k, but what about the download process, and then view, I think that it is perhaps the best solution.

  Use the file transfer API to download the file. As a reminder of the success of the API call, you can then call the PDF Viewer to view the file you just downloaded. Very friendly for the user in my opinion.

  The images could be anything - check the links Panel.

  What you see (and copy) is just the screen preview, not the actual image data.
