  I have a small question, where I can't find a clear answer for:

  A customer wants to buy a new ASA for a showroom. He wants to connect 30 phones VPN and 60 VPN users, where only 10 of them are simultaneously connected. Then we would have two choices now

  -Either go with the 3.5 Anyconnect licensing, with a premium SSL 50 license and activation phones VPN and mobility AC licenses

  - Or go to AC 4.0 license, where we would have to license 100 users with MORE licenses.

  My questions are:

  -Can I any other / more license on the SAA (i.e. SSL)

  -Where to install the license

  -How is the number of users (i.e. of the ad groups, local accounts)

  Is there a documentation clearly indicating the answers

  If you want that the phone itself to be the endpoint remote VPN access, then Yes - you need VPN phone license which requires in turn AnyConnect Premium (for 3.x installations)

  I've searched and searched, but could not find the document to answer this question.  I know that all ports on a 6248 or 6296 must be allowed to work either Ethernet, FC or FCoE.

  We know that it is supported and we want to connect a pair of 2232PP FEX until our FI 6200 for C-series server connectivity.

  When you connect a FEX 2232PP until a FI 6200, there is potential for uplink of the FEX of YEW 8 ports.  Should all 8 of these ports be allowed to work?  One of the new 32 ports that appear after plugging the FEX should be licensed as well?

  Hello Chris,

  Ports on FI connection to FEX (server ports) must have licenses. FEX ports connect to hosts (servers rack - basket bottom ports) is not counted for licenses.

  You can use all the ports in the back without worrying about licenses.

  We are currently in place a complete infrastructure of App-V 4.6 SP2 in our Organization, and we have all applications stored in a SMB file server. We have two App - V Management servers related to a balancerto load. In addition, we have configured the ApplicationSourceRoot registry key in the machines of Client pointing to the SMB file server. The flow of applications successfully from the SMB file server. So far everything was fine.

  However, when we try to implement the licensing options we see that App - V licenses work with RTSP protocols. In addition, we tried all the best we can, but we could not implement RTSP streaming from a SMB file server.  Protocol of RTSP protocol leader changes: / / with the use of the ApplicationSourceRoot registry key.

  Can anyone suggest a work around for this problem, where we can implement App - V license with the spreading of the SMB file?

  You can activate the license on 2 machines but use only 1 at a time.

  I installed on a host (System Dell R810) vSphere with 24 physical cores with hyper-threading. If I install a Windows Server 2008 Standard Edition/64-bit, on the physical hardware, I see 48 processors.

  I would like to convert this system into a system in a virtualized with vSphere environment. Assuming that I buy enough licenses VMWare, which is the maximum number of VMWare virtual cores I can refer to various OS comments? Also, if I have the Windows Standard edition, which is the maximum. number of virtualized hearts would be the guest operating system, see?

  Also, is there a document describing how licensing works and how things refers to a VMWare deployment.

  VMware licenses is based on the number of Sockets in the box... carrots.

  Here is a short breakdown in licensing requirements.

  ESXi free-4 core support only.

  Software licenses with hearts of six (6) by restriction of processor: vSphere Essentials, vSphere Essentials Plus, vSphere Standard and vSphere Enterprise

  Twelve software licenses (12) cores per CPU restriction: vSphere Advanced and vSphere Enterprise Plus

  Microsoft licenses - depends on the day: o)

  Windows Standard - for each license, you get a single virtual machine.

  Windows Datacenter - you register each Jack in the box (like VMware) - run as VM of this family of products that you can (IE, Windows 2008, Datacenter Edition allows all x Windows 2008 flavours).  I'm not positive is a Windows 2008 R2 allows to downgrade to Windows 2008 flavors as well.  So I guess.

  My recommendation - pony up the money and get data center and then laugh if Microsoft comes audit because you don't care.

  SQL 2008 licensing - read carefully - it changes and is confusing.  Best to call the Microsoft license program to be positive.

  Limitations of VMware – you can create within a VM CPU 8. However if you need that many cores... rethink its acceptability of virtualization.  See #5, and then read it again.

  Now, just throw in the standard practices and answering the questions I know you will come back and ask.

  #1-non, it has no USB support in a virtual machine.  You can't attach an external drive to your VM.  Look at the IP/USB devices for the solutions for this.

  #2-Si you create a larger hardware RAID array then 2 TB it won't work.  Each virtual disk/LUN/table/Container (to use the terminology whaever) needs to be more boy then 2 TB-512bytes (use 1.99 TB to be sure). RDM, also, cannot be greater then 2 TB.  In addition, I recommend to use initiator ISCI inside the virtual machine.

  #3-la recommendation is to try to stay in the range of 10-20 VMS per VMFS volume (much busy VM can cause scsi reservation issues).  He got much better then you can push the limits (wait for RParkers response when he sees it: o))

  #4-you can create multiple VMFS volumes and join them together to make a larger VMFS volume.  Strongly discouraged

  practical #5-bonnes of virtualization - forget what you know about the allocation of resources.  Start a Windows 2008 VM with 1 GB/Max 2 GB of RAM and a single processor.  ONLY increase CPU/RAM after you have determined you must.  Least CPU multiple VM's best for planning

  average #6-sursouscription is usually 4-5 WHAT VM by heart, but of course it depends on the load and SMP VM

  #7-do not ask solution best backup (of the beginning of war) - your typical responses are going to be Veeam, Vizioncore, esXpress as 3 all with scripts and a few others mentioned (like VDR).  Try them all (this way you can get backups and not pay for at least 90 days: o))

  #8-don't freak out cause of your VM Windows 2008 allows you to use all of the memory of your host immediately.  Until you use all of the memory, the virtual machine will be uuse large pages (which is good for performance).  Once that oversubscribe you too far, they will all move to 4 k pages, and your memory usage will drop dramatically.  After that, when the memory is the most... you are done... not go further: o)

  There are literally hundreds, but if getting vmware these tips here sticky would be we would have probably two times fewer threads and a much higher quality content.  Of course, #3, #6 and #7 will probably provoke a debate already.  I apologize in advance.

  You can create a package of the trial of Master Collection CS6 using AAMEE 3.1 and deploy it to the machine of the user using SCCM/ARD or any deployment tool. Once deployed to the user to sign in using their Adobe associated subscription identification code and the software will activate.

• Configuration of a port as 'server port' in UCS FI 6120

  It is a fundamental question. If any user of UCS can kidly help me by providing a checklist for setting up a server in the UCS port, I will be grateful.

  What I've been running a port as the port of the server using the UCS Manager and nothing more. Then I connected the ANC of 10G from the server to this UCS FI. FCoE login never happened. My setup is slightly different from that of a regular system of UCS as I am trying to connect a stand-alone server to the UCS IF instead of use the chassis.   Looks like these server ports are the ports of junction and can carry any traffic VLAN? So why not FCoE VLAN? Why no "announcement of the discovery? I hung a finisar and don't see something specific protocol FCoE from port of the server.

  It might help to take the steps that need to occur when you connect a 10G ANC to Nexus one N5K.

  In order to get a CF on a N5K virtual connection, the following steps of the manuals must be made:

  (1) create a vfc and bind it to the physical interface where the ANC is attached

  (2) create a vlan and vsan and associate the vlan for the vsan fcoe

  (3) place the vfc in the vsan created in step 2 above

  Once these steps are completed, and a couple of closing/No.-stops, you will get a vfc on the N5K flogi.

  When you create a Service in UCSM profile and associate with a blade with an ANC, UCSM performs all these tasks for you. If you dig into the system, you will see the vfc and veth that were created for your SPs.

  Without a SP and UCSM to manage the port of the server, any of these steps occur, and you will not get a flogi. There is no method to manipulate UCSM to perform what you're trying to do. It is not in the current design of the product.

  The only supported method to attach a rack CSeries server to a cluster UCSM is using the integration of the C-series features and the necessary equipment (FEX)

  My lab consists of Catalyst 3750 with SVI acting as the router, 5548 Nexus in the vpc Setup, UCS in end-host Mode and Nexus 1000V with segmentation feature enabled (VXLAN).

  I have two different VLAN for VXLAN (140, 141) to demonstrate connectivity across the L3.

  VMKernel on VLAN 140 guests join the multicast fine group.

  Hosts with VMKernel on 141 VLAN do not join the multicast group.  Then, VMs on these hosts cannot virtual computers ping hosts on the local network VIRTUAL 140, and they can't even ping each other.

  I turned on debug ip igmp on the L3 Switch, and the result indicates a timeout when he is waiting for a report from 141 VLAN:

  Once the quick thing to check would be the config igmp for both VLAN.

  where did you configure the interrogator for the vlan 140 and 141?

  are there changes in transport VXLAN crossing routers? If so you would need routing multicast enabled.

  I am with a small University and we have a site for Adobe CC license.  The keys provided didn't work until last weekend.  Coincidentally, we have changed our ISP.

  Now, our current serial numbers show as invalid in trying to run a program and I think that this first step is to troubleshoot it with our new ISP.

  I am looking for any information on the licensing mechanism which uses Adobe, subscribed port, Protocol, when the products 'phone home' to authenticate the license on the launch.

  Any help would be appreciated.

  Thanks for that.

  It turns out that it was a coincidence that it was released in the course of our ISP cut above.  Adobe has expired all our serial numbers of the side Windows although they were good til summer 2016 and are issuing new ones.  We got the notice once it happened of course.
