  a. right click on the computer icon.
  b. click Properties.

  Of course, you can install Vista on your laptop. I installed Vista on my old A50 and it works. OK, I m not able to use the extra features such as Aero for example but the operating system is running.

  The driver is a bit tricky simply said, there are no Vista drivers published, I found a few singles Vista drivers on some sites of s manufacturer of device but at the moment, there is no drivers for this laptop Toshiba.

  1. are you able to boot to the desktop?
  2. what happens when you try to start the computer?

   

  You must have the DVD drive to start the computer using the disk, you cannot use the external hard drive to do the same thing.

  Also I suggest you to make sure you have defined the start as CD/DVD-Rom as the first choice option in the BIOS. See below the help link-

  If nothing is done, then you can contact the manufacturer support for assistance on setting up the correct boot sequence and check.
