portrait orientation lock

iOS iPhone 5s 9.2.1: should I use portrait orientation locking?  I have not seen an explanation that makes no sense.

Orientation is designed to keep the apps that are allowed to rotate to landscape to do. The decision whether to use it is entirely up to you and your preferences.

  • Orientation lock does not not in 9.2.1

9.2.1, I could turn my Plus 6 iPhone or iPad and use the locking of the orientation portrait or landscape view.  Now with 9.2.1, the orientation lock does nothing and answer only the applications allowing the rotation of the screen.  Anyone having problems with the locking of orientation?

I have this same problem but on an iPad.

  • Dell MDS14 Dual Monitor Stand, Portrait orientation?

Hi all there a Dell MDS14 Dual Monitor Stand. I just want to confirm if one of the monitors can be in portrait orientation?

I want to mount one 24 inches horizontally and the other 24 inches in portrait mode.

    Thanks in advance.

If anyone is interested, Yes, you can mount the monitor in portrait mode using the included vesa plate.

All you need to do is fix the vesa plate in the necessary direction and fix.

The only issue is that it adds about 5mm is not Ras if you align perfectly flat monitors horizontally.

But if use you it like me and have a slight angle inward at the portrait screen it's a problem no.

PS, if you need to rinse, you can always mount two monitors with vesa :) plate

  • Detect peripheral photos on BB10 portrait orientation?

It seems that every time I load a camera in a portrait-oriented file element via javascript on my Z10, it always shows portrait photo dimensions width > height, it displays on the side.

Also, if I can access files camera Z10 via my PC, it also shows photos portrait on the side (and assorted dimensions of a width > height).

Screenshots taken in portrait mode works very well. It is just a problem with the photos from the camera, apparently.

Exactly the same code works fine on the PlayBook however, correctly showing photos of two elements img and portrait when you access from a PC.

Known bug? Is there a workaround, or a way for me to detect the expected orientation in addition to the comparison of width and height?

    Hi BBKate,

The rotation data for images taken with the camera are stored as EXIF data, which requires the "app" (in this case browser/webworks) read EXIF and turn.

He is currently in the works, but take a look at the following article on the reading of the EXIF data, where you can run yourself:

  • Fixed fixed portrait orientation landscape changed wrongly in iOS7 on iPad

    Hello

I just download iOS7 on my iPad.

iOS7 changed my fixed in portrait orientation fixed bad iOS7 on my iPad in landscape orientation

for an app, I did in Flash CS 5.5.

I did not have this problem in iOS6.

    Anyone encountered this problem?

Does anyone know how to fix this for iOS7?

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

This is not correct, you don't have to export AIR 3.4. The most recent is 3.8 and the difference is huge for overall consistency. Please do not export to 3.4.

Download the latest version of the AIR SDK:

    http://www.Adobe.com/devnet/air/air-SDK-download.html

Unzip it anywhere that you want to save your SDK. I put mine in the file Flash CS6 (Note: 3.8 on the picture file does not exist, you have to do and you can call it anything you like.) I used 3.8 clarity and the convention.).

If you have CS6 then simply point to the new SDK (help-> manage AIR SDK-[+] button, point to the location of the SDK)

    for example

If you have access to just use it more CS5.5 CS6. If you must use CS5.5 then you can google a lot of resources on the way to well to overlay AIR SDK on CS5.5.

  • I can assure Portrait Orientation photographs display correctly?

Photos of portrait orientation is displayed correctly in PhotoShop multimedia elements.

However, fair when I use the slideshow Editor to transfer a slide show to Premiere Elements, the portrait Photos end up their side.

If PhotoShop Elements knows what pictures are directed Portrate, why can't Premiere Elements also know this?

My work around is to change the Photos Orientation Protrait and transfer the version published in Premiere Elements in the slide show.  I think that this nealy still works.  However, it's a pain if photos don't need an editing tool before be shown in a DVD slide show.

Now, we could adjust the fixed effect > Rotation, in a single Image. Then the user would be Rt-click on the Image and choose copy. Then select all the Images that need Rotation, then Rt click on those, choose the attributes of the dough.

Personally, I like to do operations like scaling and Rotation in my image-editing program, Photoshop, as its algorithms are better, IMHO.

    Good luck

  • Where did the "orientation Lock" parameter passed on my iPad?

My "Lock Orientation" button disappeared in my quick settings and is now a button "Mute".  Where can I configure the direction to lock now?

    Thank you

    PMC

Version of the IOS is 9.2.1 (13D 15)

By "quick settings" do you say Control Center (slide up from the bottom edge of the iPad)?

According to the model of the iPad you have a settings > General > use side adjustment switch? If you do then who controls what does the switch on the side of the iPad over the volume control (rotation lock or mute notification), with the other option being at the Control Center: on the iPad side switch - Apple Support

If it's an iPad 2 Air, Pro or Mini 4 two functions should show in the control center

  • How can I resolve the default page in Portrait orientation?

I found this question asked but never answered.  Now, I'm running into exactly the same problem.

Under Page size in Page Setup - Options paper-, the default orientation is currently set to landscape and IE8 starts off that way every time.  It is always true, even after resetting the default IE8 options.  How can I permanently set default to Portrait page orientation so that I don't have to manually reset printing in Portrait, whenever I print a page of IE8?  I am running XP SP3.

I found the solution to the problem.

Go to the preferences of the default printer, it has been in the landscape.  After changing portrait, it now sets the default in IE8.

  • Orientation lock does not not in Blackberry10 Simulator

I use the BB10_2.1.1055 Beta Simulator for my application. I'm developing an app for blackberry 10 webworks. I put this attribute in my file Config.xml. But always in the Simulator, I can see my request to change to landscape mode when I change the orientation of the device. someone help me.

I guess you can ignore it. Setting the locking device of the orientation on a real device will prevent the signal has changed emitted orientation, so your application will ever receive, but if you send that signal to your simulator using the remote or by pressing the bottem right corner, the signal will BE emitted and your app will respond to it as usual.

  • Orientation lock

Is it possible to lock the orientation also listening to the events of orientation? If someone has a link to an example of code that would be much appreciated. I am trying to control a movieclip by rotation of the apparatus but keeping the locked application in landscape position fixed (as on iOS, you have the landscape with "home" button down and toward the top of the scenery... and you can stop its default behavior of shift between the two)

Tests of change in direction in the Simulator turns out to be quite difficult because the current method to turn also triggers the Simulator to bring the menu apps (you get a thumbnail of the reduced application). It would do what I'm trying to do useless... so my another question is did anyone know if it is a real behavior of the device or a bug in the Simulator?

    Thank you

While the change of orientation videos are few and far between (and not very informative) we can only assume that what we see in the Simulator is a bug and not the actual behavior of the device.

I know that even with autoOrient set to false, apps always turns to using the method you said earlier. I would wait maybe until a more stable or peripheral sdk is in your hands to really test this. I know this isn't an ideal solution, but Mark has suggested that a new SDK is on its way (I hope that this week, but nobody knows.)

  • I want to portrait.orientation for all of my PDF files

How can I change my portrait oreintaion?

Adobe Reader cannot permanently change the orientation of a PDF file, although you can change how pages are seen on the screen while it is currently open. To permanently change the orientation, you will need Acrobat!

  • Creating a movie portrait oriented

Previous posts have helped with explaining how to set up a project using the portrait, which is great, but I find that export to a movie file is always a problem. I need to create a movie file that fits on a portrait view oriented, for a show. The problem I have, is that even if the project seems ok when the export screen is always in landscape mode. The film is displayed in the middle. Surely, there must be a way that the exported sequence is set in portrait mode as signage companies do this all the time.

Just swap the width and height values. (first unlock the chain) or hit game Source.

  • Multi-Folio app with landscape and portrait orientation

Can we create an application multi-folio containing folios of orientation portrait and landscape?

A multi-folio application can have any mix of portrait, landscape or double direction folios in it. The only requirement is that, for a specific folio, all items that he share the same orientation setting.
