Position of the PXI Module in the chassis

Dear Forum,

I just got a new PXI-1033 chassis as well as a single PXI-6259 HAVE/AO/DIO and two PXI-2501 switch modules module.

No matter where I physically place these three modules in the chassis?

Sincerely,

Zach

Zach-

So, I see you have a PXI-1033 chassis and two modules PXI (PXI-6259 and PXI-2501).  In this case, their placement is not serious.  Just a tip: If you consider the symbols in each slot, they indicate what type of device they can accept.

A symbol of circle, the location is a generic peripheral location.  A generic device location will work very well for both of your devices.

A symbol of diamond, that location is a location of triggering star.

A symbol of diamond with a circle inside means that the slot is a generic peripheral location with star triggering capabilities.  This slot machine also works for each device.

I found these definitions of machines slot in user guide NI PXI-1033 and specifications.  Check it out if you want more information than what I have provided.

See you soon!

  • PXI-1042 - switch LED green flashing when the chassis is disabled

    When the PXI-1042 chassis is off, the green signal LED power switch (I use the word "flicker" because the LED flashes irregularly and without full intensity) and the cooling fans will be starts randomly (sometimes one at a time, sometimes both).  When the chassis is on and in use, there is no significant difference in normal operation.  I understand that a flashing green light indicates 'air intake temperature exceeded the operating range chassis' (by Manuel PXI-1042).  I don't think that's the problem, because the chassis works very well when you use it.

    Everyone knows about this problem?  Is this a problem?

    Thank you!

    My biggest concern would be there that it will not warn you when you are outside the temperature range. However, since it does not work correctly when the chassis is turned on, I don't think that there is a problem. Of course, there is no way to know for sure without sending the camera for RMA, but my best guess is that you'll be fine.

  • SMU - connection to the modules in the chassis

    Hi all

    Sorry for the rather simple question.

    I'm trying to implement a new PXI system.

    The implementation is the following: A PXIe1078 chassis with controller embedded SMU-8115, 4065, 2526, 4844 and 6220 cards PXI chassis.  With the help of MAX, I am able to identify all the different pieces of equipment and everything seems to work ok.

    I worked on the cRIO for several years and up using a similar approach strives to implement the project and to connect to and adjust the lighting of the user.

    However, I don't seem to be able to work on the way to pick up the cards on the chassis?

    Specifically for the 4844 PXI card, I used the utility OR OSI and been able to put in place the sensors and take readings so I'm happy, there is communication.  I just don't seem to be able to find how to use it through LabView.

    Can someone point me in the direction of the online samples?  I searched but nothing helped and osi didn't example to load on my system, when I installed the software (v2.0) osi.

    Thank you

    DOM

    Hi Dom,

    To ensure that your cards display correctly you must install the driver appropriate for each card.

    For the DMM:

    http://www.NI.com/download/NI-DMM-3.1/4125/en/

    For the switch, you will need the driver switch OR or NI DAQmx:

    http://www.NI.com/download/NI-DAQmx-9.9/4707/en/

    http://www.NI.com/download/NI-Switch-4.8.0/4333/en/

    You will also need the NI DAQmx driver for the 6220 OR.

    Once you have installed the drivers, the cards must all appear in NI Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX NOR). You can then program the cards using their respective drivers in the measures of e/s palette.

    Best regards

  • How can I cange positions of the toolbars?

    I reinstalled Firefox after my hard drive crashed and the position of the upper toolbar (open tabs) is higher than the bar of menus (?) and I prefer the tabs to be below the menu bar. In general, how to change the location of the bars.

    In addition, the dark background is difficult for me to see and would get back to lighter I had before. So, how to customize the background of the bar colors?

    Thank you.

    There is an add-on very full which can customize many aspects of the interface, called Classic theme restaurateur. You can install it from the site of modules here:

    https://addons.Mozilla.org/firefox/addon/classicthemerestorer/

    To change the settings, you can use the Options button for the extension on the page modules. Either:

    • CTRL + SHIFT + a
    • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons

    In the left column, click Extensions. Then on the right side, find classic theme restaurateur.

  • Position of the button close the tab tab

    Just updated to 17 of Firefox on my Windows 7 PC. The close tab buttons are now on the left side of the tab instead of the right side. How can I move them back on the right side? I can't find other help on this and tried to play with: config userchrome, but nothing is. I can change the color, add a button in the bar, but does not affect the positioning of the buttons close the tab on the tabs themselves.

    Help!

    You have the module / theme / userstyle installed that controls tab behavior? You can resolve this problem by restarting with disabled modules. You can also reset firefox who, most likely, your problem will be solved.

    Hi again Koen,

    Unfortunately, you can't simulate a complete PXI system, so we do not have the ability to simulate a PXI controller unit. The simulation, you can do is to set up the cards you want to use in you.

  • 9234 sensor back to resistance of the chassis

    My question is about the NI 9234 module and terminal return (HAVE) resistance to the chassis. On the side of the module, the diagram shows a 50 Ohm resistor to the chassis. However, when measured using a multimeter, the resistance is much higher (order 500 kohm.) I hope someone might be able to explain this discrepancy. My only thought is that, based on the data sheet, there are current limiting diodes present between performance and 50 Ohm resistance that may have an impact on the measurement. I don't understand how it would be possible, however. Any help is appreciated.

    Page 11 of the Manual:

    http://www.NI.com/PDF/manuals/374238c.PDF

    Watch back to back diodes in series with the 50 ohm. They are probably affecting your measure if your DMM does not exceed the voltage of conduction of them (don't know what the specs are on the diodes).

  • Not displaying data acquisition devices is not under the chassis to MAX after updating drivers OR

    We use a PXI-1031 chassis and 3 PXI-6143 devices to our MetalMapper of the geometry. Also the chassis appears only in MAX as "unidentified" and PXI-1031 is not displayed in the list "identify as".

    Thanks for your reply... uh... PeanutButterOven

    After having looked in the information requested for our controller, we realized that we had a wrong model for our controller number.

    After we have determined the correct model number (NI PXI-8108), we could assign to the unidentified PXI system in the "identify as" drop-down list in MAX > my system > devices and Interfaces and then select our chassis model number (PXI-1031DC).

    After we did it, a new object was automatically created called PXI-1031DC 'Châssis 1' and our devices were already provided in a drop down of this frame object.

    Thanks for your help!

    We now live a new show with our custom software that seems bound to not find .NET drivers even if they exist on our computer.  This seems to be a separate problem and we will publish it to a new discussion if we're stuck.

    Thanks again

  • How to put the PXIe1078 loosely Swtich in the front of the chassis

    I have to turn on a PXI chassis express PXIe1078 loosely the Swtich to the chassis, can anyone give me any suggestions to make it happen?

    Page 2-12 of the manual of user 1078, 1 switch the chassis four-postion control DIP switch inhibit fashion, but why don't the manual tells us the funtion of other three cheating?

    Are there any methods of setting in 1078 SMU itself? If not, can I have modified the chassis and remove the swich before?

    We use a separate PC and SMU 1078 control via MXI express cable. I wish that some people can help me, thank you very much!

    If you use the x 8 MXI kit (SMU/PCIe-8381), then turn on the PC turns on the chassis.  According to what MXI kit you are using you may also be able to configure it to behave the same way:

  • SkillBuilder see the position of the modal title page

    Hello

    Is there anyone know how to change the position of the template page in the plugin Skillbuilder see modal page title.

    The title of my show modal page at the bottom instead of top.

    Thank you

    Vincent

    Vincent,

    Each get request - it's own settings for the plugin. I'm sorry that I forgot to mention "themes."

    If you go into the module itself (in the shared components) in each application there is a list of tasks/menu on the right which includes "component parameters. This takes you to all of the default values used by all plugins. In the Modal Plugin, there is a setting for the theme (1 to 5 and custom). This parameter is used by the procedure of rendering of plugin to add a CSS file. If you choose 1 it will add the t1colorbox.css file to your pages that use the plugin.

    If you look at the plugin in the shared components, you can see all these files (t1colorobox.css to t5colorbox.css).

    You can also use a customization theme. Take the one you like and change according to your specifications, and then change the component for the modal Plugin settings select "Custom" in the theme option list and then fill in the details on the path and the file name for your custom CSS file.

    Themes 2 and 3 took the title and the close box at the top but in reality above the box described rather than inside. 1, 4 and 5 place the title and close button in what appears as the footer of the described area. You could probably take the 2 theme and customize it to draw a border around the title bar.

    for example

    {#cboxWrapper}

    background: no-repeat scroll 0 0 #808080;

    border: 2px solid #000000;

    }

    The close look weird button in this example, but I wanted to point out how you can change the appearance.

    If you can get hands on with the ID of blog post that you can list the tags assigned to this post particularly blog using module_data. It would be only possible with the new BC. • Two wiggles in the same position of the camera

    Hello!

    I have a huge problem, which I suppose you can help me with, guys. So here it is:

    I use a wiggle in camera position expression:

    startFrame = framesToTime (492); stopFrame = framesToTime (670); easeOver = framesToTime (20); FREQ = 0.5; amp = 35; If ((temps > = startFrame) & &(time < stopFrame)) {if (time < startFrame + easeOver) linear (time, startFrame, startFrame + easeOver, value, wiggle (freq, amp)); if (time > = stopFrame - easeOver) (linear time, stopFrame - stopFrame, easeOver, wiggle(freq,amp), value); else wiggle(freq,amp) ;} value other}

    which wiggles basically the camera of the chassis 492 to frame 670 (with a bit of initial and final images mix). I would use the same expression for the same device and the position, which will begin at the 860 member and will end at 920, but... When I use the same expression, simply copy it into the existing: it uses essentially the second without the first.

    So my question is - how can we force them both to work for me?

    Thank you

    Hard: if set of statements for your expressions of dividing them into sections.

    Easy way: parent the camera for anal and apply the second expression for the No.

  • If another statement concerning the position of the playhead in a symbol

    Hello

    I am really new on adobe and java script, so my question here might be an easy answer, at least I hope.

    My problem is the following:

    I have two symbols respectively two clips on the stage, and they produce on the same place within the scene, but - of course - not at the same time. At least what I'm trying to accomplish with the if statement.

    The scenario is more: when I press the button 1, animation (symbol) 1 - a is played until what the frame of 50 and it stays there until I hit the close button, then he plays 50 to 100 and returns to frame 1 in the 1-a symbol.

    There is also entertainment (symbol) 2A, who plays up to 50 chassis and stays there, and cela at the same place in the scene.

    What I would like to do following: when I press key 1 for example to play the animation-1A, first of all, he must check where is the head of animation 2-a reading and if it's the plot of 50, the keystroke the 1 should play first resp. close the animation 2 and then play animation 1 up to 50.

    I hope I could explain my problem enough, and I look forward to replies.

    Stanko

    Stanko-

    If I understand you correctly, you want to do is to see the position of the playhead in a symbol.  Here's an example of code with that you might want to play:

    If the read head in my element mySymbolInstanceName is less than 50...

    If (sym.getSymbol("mySymbolInstanceName").getPosition)< 50)="">

    do one thing

    }

    else {}

    do something totally different

    }

    Hope that helps,

    -Elaine

  • 19.02 Firefox breaks the position of the background image.

    Hi, I have a jQuery plugin that worked well until I downloaded Firefox 19.02 now the Image slider does not work.

    More precisely the position of backgroundImage doesn't seem to work. Instead of each piece of the picture being selected using a specific and different up and left (x and is position on the Image) all the pieces are showing the top left corner! It worked well in the earlier version of Firefox and still work on the latest versions of Google Chrome, Safari and Opera.

    Appreciate any help you can offer.

    TC

    It's logical. If Math.abs (yPos) works, then yPos cannot be a string, and therefore cannot contain units.
