Possible file corruption: controls/scroll bar disappearing

I worked on a VI using LabView 8.6 for awhile and when I opened it today I noticed that although scroll bars are visible on the façade,

the rectangles that you enter in the scroll bar to move upward or downwards are missing.

I tried to solve this by masking and display then scrollbars in the following way:

1. in the VI preferences window

2. by right clicking on the scroll bars

3. dynamically using a property node bound to the pane and using the properties of "HorizScrollbarVisibility" and "VertScrollbarVisibility".

Also, I searched the forums and found some similar positions with some suggestions:

http://forums.NI.com/T5/LabVIEW/front-panel-is-not-shown-completely/m-p/932988?view=by_date_ascendin...

24/06/2009 Altenbach suggested to open a new VI and copy the code through.
-When I tried the solution of Altenbach, the scroll bar grab tool on the front panel has been visible for a few seconds and then disappeared when I tried to use it.

With the scroll error bar is the fact that 4-5 controls in my program are not on the front panel more.

When I try clicking on their terminal, a blank part of the façade is shown.

Right click on the line of control gives an indication that the controls are not hidden on the façade.

Any ideas on how to solve these problems without having to go back to a week of the program version and rewrite the added code from there me?

I found an adjustment wheel on my front with caption text and scale was not placed on the top of the circle of the object of the front portion.

They had been randomly moved a few thousand pixels to the right of the control.

To reset the text position and scale that I had to right click on the object and replace the dial with a new dial.
The scroll bars work now and the missing items now.

My guess is that the error was caused by the limits of the cover being so big.
In addition, objects that I could find were those who are invisible until a user event makes visible.

  • Scroll bar disappears on publish

In the latest version of edge animate (October 2014), I see the scroll bars when I apply 'Auto' to a symbol, but when I publish, the scroll bars disappear.

    Any advice?

    Thank you!

I discovered the solution / workaround. If this happened to you, after you have created your symbol with scrolling of content, go to the left hand from the bottom of the dashboard interface box animate and make sure "Clip" is on - the numbers should appear in green - not grayed out.

Now when you test in Safari, your scroll bars will appear. Yay!

  • Is it possible to add the scroll bar to a cluster of front control?

I have a cluster control on my front.  The cluster contains many controls that I did not have enough room to display at a time. When a table contains more items is displayed, you can activate vertical or horizontal scroll bars.  This doesn't seem to be the case for cluster control.  I don't see a property of scrollbar for cluster control.  Is there a way to display one that I'm missing?  Thank you!

As much as I know you can not display scrollbars on clusters.

The only method I can think of that would be to show the cluster fully deployed on a secondary as a plugin and have attached an example how to do that.

    Hope that helps,

  • Timeline scroll bar disappears when the trackpad is on

Recently, I connected a trackpad to my iMac.  Then I discovered that the scroll at the bottom of the timeline in FCPX bar has disappeared.  So I disconnected the trackpad and restarted FCPX, and the timeline scroll bar reappeared.

Then, I learned that if the trackpad is turned on and connected when I run FCPX, the timeline scroll bar is not there.  But if the trackpad is switched off/disconnected, the timeline scroll bar is here.

Once more I found how I want to work in deadlock by deciding to Apple how should work.

I want to use my Kensington trackball and trackpad Apple at the same time, and I want that scrollbar current timeline.  Is it possible that I can make the scroll bar appear when I have connected trackpad?

    Thank you!

  • Is there a way to disable the keyboard control scroll bars?

    Hello world

I have a canvas container, which a lot of objects inside, some of which are larger than the container Canvas itself. As a result, e container canvas attracts the horizontal and vertical scroll bars in order to accommodate all the objects inside himself. The problem I have is by pressing the left/right/up/down keyboard arrow keys, the scroll bars, you will see the canvas container, and I don't want that to happen.

I tried setting the keyUp/keyDown event to null listeners, but that doesn't seem to do anything.

How can I remove the keyboard for the container of the Web controls, so that on the scroll keys will not parade the canvas?

    Thank you

    Colin

Keyboard scrolling behavior is implemented in the base class of container. Here are two possible ways to turn it off (and I have not tried either):

    (1) extend the canvas, override the keyDownHandler with an empty method.

    (2) in the event keyDown for your canvas try "Event.stopImmediatePropagation".

  • When I resize my window (smaller size mobile) my vertical scroll bar disappears if I'm less than 800px wide.

It was in version 9.0.1 and now 10. I resize my window to test how my site looks like smaller screens (iTouch, iPad, etc.). Any suggestions? I don't have this problem in version 4.0.1 I serve up to this point.

Which can happen if there are items on a toolbar taking a specific space.

You can try to hide the toolbars when testing to see if that helps (view > toolbars or Firefox > Options).

Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).

  • How can I prevent the right vertical scroll bar to disappear?

In one of the changes made to Windows during the past two years, the vertical right scroll bar, which was visible all the time, now turns off after a few seconds of inactivity.  I find it very annoying.  Normally, I place the cursor on the arrow towards the bottom of the scroll bar so I can click on it to move around the screen while I read it.  But since then the scroll bar disappears after a few seconds, I click and of course nothing happens.  I have to move the cursor to get the scroll to reappear/reactivate bar so I can use, then position it on the arrow down and click.  Boring, boring, boring.  Why they did it default for this is beyond me, since the scroll bar is non intrusive and barely perceptible.  Microsoft seems to be more concerned about the aesthetics of function.  I wish they reassess their values.  But I digress.  Is it possible to place the scroll bar so that it does not disappear?  Or, at the very least, set a timer so that it remains visible for more than a few seconds?

  • On the right side of the br5owser, there is a scroll bar, the scroll bar is not no matter what a contrast and is almost invisible, can't find it?

Have seen other issues similar to mine and they can be on the same issue, but they say that the scroll bar disappears, in fact, it's still there but almost invisible. Try to click on it without knowing the exact location to cause the uncontrolled scrolling page. Other issues advised people to restore their browser by default, but that did not help at all. Had this same problem for about 6 of the latest versions of firefox, all say in the 1930s versions. I tried adding contrast high Windows as an experiment, but that did not help at all either. Been trying help for awhile and just now decided to ask myself a question as the other speakers may have given or answerers may think it is resolved.

In searching through help files it has led me to find a space based theme for the browser that I enjoy, but does not solve issue of course, so... all is not lost. Took a jpg of the image of the browser that shows the issue and am trying to upload it but looks like it is stuck in upload mode. Ugh "high speed" , anyhow maybe it uploaded and is not showing, the bar on the right is about 3/4 of the way down the side if you can see it, almost invisible.

    Core-el,

    Thank you
Discovered it was my own question of system, but had to talk with others, before I realized how in the absence of mind my question was. Old system had control of contrast on the screen, and they have been set to 4 digits off the coast of 50 / 100. I wouldn't think that little would make a difference, because it doesn't have in all the other use of the browser, but he did. So was my system, actual physical hardware settings. Sorry for wasting your time but thanks much for all of your thoughts.

  • The scroll bars on a particular site

I was working with one of my animations and I must have accidentally pressed some button because the scroll bars disappeared. Now, I can't find a way to move to a different place. • scroll bar

The vertical scroll bar on the right side of the screen disappears when the web site I visit is short enough to not to require a scroll bar (i.e. is there no need to scroll upwards or downwards, because everything fits on one screen). If I move to another site, the scroll bar is displayed if necessary. This isn't usually a problem. However, if you move between the links of the site itself, if all the pages have the same format, moving pages to the left when the scroll bar is displayed at the time where the scroll bar disappears, and it is quite annoying. It is a huge problem if you have a text box that appears when you hover the mouse over a link. This is a good example: sample Web site if you move the mouse on one of the logos at the bottom of the screen, the page moves left, and if you move the mouse over the logo, it shifts back again. If you do this quickly, the page is just horrible. In Internet Explorer, the scroll bar doesn't appear and disappear, it is just disabled when the is not necessary. Is there a solution to this?

webbrewers... you are a genius! It worked perfectly. No more wobbly screens.
    Thank you!

  • How to recover the horizontal & vertical scroll bars in Outook Express

I have XP OS House & use Microsoft Outtook Express.  recently, the horizontal & vertical scroll bars disappeared from all but one of my follders. Any suggetions on how to recover these bars thanks to you all.

I think it may have something to do with the largest compensation part of the Inbox on & leaving very few emails in there.

I noticed that records I keep have very few emails in them are also without the scroll bar.

Which is part of what Steve said. They will not appear if there is nothing to achieve. I'm glad that it's as simple as that.

  • Scroll bar on the Windows Photo Viewer

How you activate/display the scroll bar on the Windows Photo Viewer?  I use two Thinkpad T400, one with Vista and the other is 7.  On the Vista machine, when I open a large photo, the scroll bar appears so I can go up or down quickly.  7, this scroll bar disappeared.

Y at - it a patch that I can apply to get it back?  It seems that it is not in the option or settings...  It's REALLY DOULOUREUX because I have to deal with large images.  And I will return to the Vista even though I hate so much.

    Help, please!

    Hi Omoikane-kun,

This is normal, instead of the scroll bar, you can left click and use the symbol of the hand to scroll up and down to view the full image or adapt to the screen.
