Post bound .pdf files in Captivate 7 courses

I have a course which connects to four .pdf files that provide additional guidance on the subject of course.  Other that put on a portion and link to them, someone there a good method for their inclusion in, or adding them to, the .zip publication that gets uploaded to the LMS.  If so, what process do I have to go by to point the links to them?

Thank you.

Jay

Hi Jay,.

The link above is also valid for 7 Cp and Cp8 I might have an old post but will work as well for Cp 7 and 8 of Cp.

Kind regards

    Hmm, not a subtle difference.

    We did not have many experts PDF or Adobe Illustrator users post advice here; those who might be sprinkled around on other forums, blogs or support sites.

    I noticed when you view the properties of the PDF in Adobe Reader that the PDF has been created with optimization for active fast Web view. This is a feature that allows the progressive rendering of PDF files over a slow connection (http://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/kb/optimize-native-pdf-file-sizes.html#...). You can try to re - generate the PDF file with this feature turned off to see if that makes a difference?

  • PDF files do not run video created with Captivate

    I create videos eLeaning with Adobe Captivate and the resulting video is generated in a PDF and HTM file. For some such e-Learning, the PDF file does not work. the window opens and the bar for OCD and a small window black where the video to load, display. It's as if the video is loading but nothing happens.

    I am using windows 7 OS. Captivate isn't a problem because the HTM files generate properly. Adobe Reader is also not a problem because some of the videos load perfectly. There are only a few videos that give a problem. No idea what could be wrong. If you would be grateful if anyone has an advisor.

    You can send it to my email address. And remember to send me your details.

    In the past, I had no problem to create my 6 Captivate modules PDF versions. However, today I found that all of the PDF files I've created recently do not play in my PDF reader. • Media Player trying to open pdf files

    When I open a pdf file of my company, all of a sudden, they try to open in windows media center, and of course they can't.  I tried on another computer, and it was beautiful.  Only on my computer.  Thanks for help.  I need to print these files for my job.

    Hi Darro5316,

    Click the Start button, then click on "Default programs" (that you can find on the right side of the menu under the control panel option.) When the default programs winodw opens, click on the option "associate any type of file or Protocol with a program. The set Associations window is now open, but can be slow to fill. Once he has populated by scrolling to the bottom of the .pdf file and make sure that it is associated with Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Acrobat reader (depending on who you have installed on your system). If she says that she was bound with Media Player, and then click the "program change" button and see if Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Acrobat Reader is available in the list. If it is then select it and then click on the OK button. If Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Acrobat reader is not available then click on the Browse button, locate the Acrobat or Adobe Reader, and then associate the file with the program. • I'm trying to create a PDF file with several signature lines in that anyone can "Sign" by using their digital signature CAC (Common Access Card) active. The goal is to have a single document that people can open, sign on a designated line and save the doc

    I'm trying to create a PDF file with several signature lines in that anyone can "Sign" by using their digital signature CAC (Common Access Card) active. The goal is to have a single document that people can open, sign on a designated line and save the document (replacing the existing document) and close. Then another person can open the same document digitally sign another area of the form, save it, and close it. So on, and so on. Is there a way to do this? At the end of the day, I would end up with a PDF file with literally hundreds of signatures to enable different ACC everywhere...

    I don't understand what the problem is. In the post of the davidr96549424 on May 8, 2015 07:58 you presented a structure of a correct document. Is the issue of the creation of this structure in a PDF file? For this, you will need an Acrobat, not reader.

    XI in Acrobat, select Tools-> forms-Edit. Click 'No' on the form fields 'detect '. In the tasks Panel that opens, click on "add new field". Select "Digital Signature" and move it to the location in the document where you want to than the appearance of the signature to be. Repeat that for signature fields as you want. Users will sign by clicking on the prepared unsigned signature field which shows the dialog box "sign. Do not forget that as TSN has noted that a digital signature applies to the entire document. The entry in the document where it is is irrelevant. Each next signature covers all previous signatures.

    Your users can also sign a document from anywhere that they want without signature fields already prepared. For this select fill & sign-> work with certificates and the type of signing you want to sign up with. A dialog box that will tell you a rectangle for the appearance of signature rises and after you draw the rectangle of the dialog 'Sign' rises.

    PDF/Acrobat doesn't have a limit on a number of signatures in a PDF document. But! Don't forget that when you open a PDF file with Acrobat/Reader signatures valid all of them and takes time (several seconds - until 10 - for every signature), so if you have several signatures of dozens of their validation open can take a long time.

    I don't know how build you your workflow so that each person signs the same PDF and saves it. Economy runs on the same computer where the PDF is stored. You'll have to decide how to allow different people to have access to the same PDF. They, of course, you may sign this only one-at-a-time PDF.

  • PDF files does not open in Internet Explorer 9 after updating adobe 10.1.3

    I reinstalled Adobe 10.1.3 several times and I can't view, open, or save .pdf files.  I tried to use Safari and can I view and save .pdf files, but I use int Explorer. 100% of the time.  What is the solution?

    I'm in trouble here myself. I have Vista Home Edition 64-bit. The world was good until I welcomed this update to proceed. I can't go back to the old version (work) of Adobe because one of the suggestions was uninstall I did.

    I checked to make sure I was using 32-bit browser mode and no 64

    Adobe installed/Reinstalled/repaired [this facility has been a nightmare taking over several hours of troubleshooting]

    I changed the settings in Adobe as above and everything rebooted

    I can open PDF files on my hard drive.

    I can open the PDF files on the http sites

    I can't open or download PDF files on https sites more (even if I could before the upgrade)

    Of course, THE ones that I really really need since I'm paperless with the Bank, verizon, etc etc... I tried today will still sites on my IE8, XP computer work with Adobe Reader 9 and viola! no problems. They work as expected

    I chose NOT to run Chrome as it gave me problems before. I only use an IE9 browser and it is the Version 9.0.8112.16421 updated version 9.0.7 and my update of windows displays only associated them optionally available updates, which is that I have installed silverlight.

    Please advise!

    EDITING - I did a test of browser on Wells Fargo, and he said that I was on IE7. I went to uncontrolled compatibility settings the race all that (I don't think I have that turn), but it still says I'm on IE8 although I'm on IE9 and IE9 says - somehow I think that it is perhaps part of the problem. FWIW, I've had now problem downloading their PDF of 'test', but it was on the part not secure their site.

    LAST MODIFIED - don't know why this has not happened before, but maybe it was an update to IE9 - if you go to tools > Internet Options > advanced and scroll down to the bottom, there is a check box for "do not save encrypted disk files", what thought Microsoft had to be checked. However, if the file is encyrpted and the block is turned on you can see it or download it. Has worked like a charm when this block is not checked. So nothing to do with Adobe, everything to do with IE9.

  • Enumeration of the fields of form data in a PDF file

    Hey there,

    I have an existing VS C++ application and I would like to add the ability to enumerate all fields of form data in an existing PDF file. Before saying anything more, I must admit that I am a total newbie to Adobe technology. This fact will probably be quite obvious in a few sentences: - D.

    In any case, I think I should use the portion of the IAC to the API of Acrobat. I had downloaded the SDK of X, and I found the files acrobat.h and acrobat.cpp that provide the CAcroApp wrapper. I am able to create this object as follows...

    Try

    {

    IUnknown * punkAcrobat;

    IDispatch * pdispAcrobat;

    CLSID clsidAcrobat;

    CLSIDFromProgID (L "AcroExch.App", & clsidAcrobat);

    Create an instance of Acrobat and

    get a ptr to its IUnknown interface

    HR =: CoCreateInstance (clsidAcrobat, NULL, CLSCTX_SERVER,

    IID_IUnknown, (void *) & punkAcrobat);

    If (FAILED (hr)) up at the time.

    Get the IDispatch interface for automation...

    HR = m_punkAcrobat-> QueryInterface (IID_IDispatch, (void *) & pdispAcrobat);

    If (FAILED (hr)) up at the time.

    CAcroApp aa (ab.m_pDispAcrobat); comes from acrobat.h

    AA. Show();

    AA. Masquer();

    AA. Exit();

    }

    catch (HRESULT hrException)

    {

    HR = hrException;

    }

    Life is good. Now, to enumerate the data fields of form (appropriate terminology?) in a PDF file, I * think * I need to get a pointer to the AFormAut.App COM interface. Of course, I can do this, as I've done above and, in fact, I have and it works. But then I would have some sort of sweet wrapper handy for this interface - just like the wrappers in acrobat.h. I also want a pony for Christmas! - D... anywayyyyy, such a wrapper is there? Can you give me some tips on how to get from there where I am above that it is able to call the method ExportAsFDF (I think that's what I need)?

    As I said, I'm a newbie; so be nice .

    Regards and thanks in advance!

    Using AcroAVDoc instead of AcroPDDoc, the get_fields method seems to work. Perhaps one can post an example of MFC project as soon as I get this job.

    Kind regards

  • Resurrect the old PDF files into usable documents

    Hi all

    I have a few dozen files PDF that was apparently created by scanning the old doc printed 1990 (full of staple holes and Visual noise, like perhaps other pages had glued over time) in PDF without benefit of OCR. I don't know how long the PDF was created, but Ctrl + D shows Acrobat 5.x as the latest version of the cluster. The files have a line drawings. Some have tables created in the old typewriter/WordPerfect bullies: using special characters to delimit columns online. Roll forward about 20 years now... These old relics of decades are the only things that shows how something important, and I have to put things in a useful format for programmers and developers of new products today. Unfortuntately, there is no admin on the staff, and yours is really too short a time to allow to fix such things even at 120 OMP.

    I use Acrobat Pro Extended v.9 on XP - SP3. (I have access to Acrobat 9 on Win7, but I'm just a die-hard XP.)  I tried to run 'Recognize text in multiple files using OCR' with parameters to ClearScan and Word output, and it really gum up the layout until you can not literally follow one sentence to another enough say where are the sentences and paragraphs.  I've seen some other posts about the differences between the 3 OCR options (still a little foggy on it) and thought maybe ClearScan would be a good choice and then save them in Word or save it as plain text or RTF, but ClearScan 'seen' the Visual noise and the punctuation marks and special characters. Maybe it was a hypersensitivity?

    What Miss me about the settings? Or is there something I could / should do to clean up this Visual noise before running OCR? I need ideas like a lot of people who know more that I do what I can maybe you! :-)

    Thanks in advance,

    Wintenberger

    CH-

    I forgot to mention, on some pages, there are also hand-written notes. Is there a way to get the OCR to understand handwriting? Or if I use the typewriter tool to record the handwritten stuff, is it possible to remove the PDF manuscript stuff before running OCR?

    PPS-

    These are not legal documents, but I'm working copies stored away so that the original PDF files are archived for posterity.

    As mentioned, some of the 3rd party are supposed to do a better job, as the OCR is their main goal. When I did my job, I OCRB the scan, then moved to my word processor. Of course, it was not perfect, but much better than of type from scratch. My copy is pretty good and about 600 dpi I recall. I spent probably not more than about 10 minutes per page on average. Maybe it's even higher. I had to retype each equation. The alternative is to copy the equations in the form of a graph. In some cases, you may even want to anyway as you so that the image of the equation to the view that you retype. I have just try a few pages and see what you can get. Be sure to keep a copy of your Moose and work in parts.

  • Jump to the next page after you download a pdf file

    Hello

    I have three links on a page that loading the files pdf however by clicking on the fisrt link is OK, but if you click on the 2nd it jumps to the next page in the course.  I want him to stay until someone clicks on the next button only.

    Thank you

    Ken

    Hello

    You must change the click box or the button that opens the PDF file. There is an arrow down to the right of the field. You click it to choose New to coax the PDF to open it in a new window. Looks like you have already done. You must click again and uncheck the option "continue to play the project.

    Once you do this slide should stay put.

    Note that this action will have to occur on each of the boxes of buttons or click that open external documents.

    See you soon... Rick

  • Why plugin - container.exe crash so often during the closing of PDF files?

    When I load multiple PDF files in Firefox to check their content for the errors one by one, closing a tab PDF to reveal another tab PDF very often causes plugin - container.exe planting, which means I have to reload each tab PDF remaining to display the remaining files. This of course defeated the purpose to open more than one at the time and adds about 5 times because the number of clicks to the whole process because I erase the mistake and reload each page, then it might happen again or not. It produced whenever I close a PDF file, but about 1/4 times.

    I know that I have two versions of Acrobat installed (9.5.5 of Acrobat and Reader 11.0.10) and therefore two Firefox plugins, but for the record that this same thing happening on other computers that just have Reader or simply Acrobat, this isn't a matter of conflicting plugins. Although I noticed that you are not allowed to disable one or the other - a disable disables both. As a first step, it does not appear, but if you reload the plugins page, you will see that the two are actually off.

    Windows coughs following error report when the plugin - container.exe grave failure, but Firefox says nothing, I guess because the plugin-container is a stand-alone application:
