Power on the Satellite L350 problem

I've had my laptop that works fortunately connected in the wall, when suddenly without any warning, he switched to the battery.
Now I can't seem to load, or even recognize that it is plugged. The adapter - which was replaced no avail - does not seem to get power.
I replaced the fuse, the works.

Any suggestions appreciated as now completely empty battery and laptop useless.
Thank you!

You mean that you can't start your laptop with AC only (removed battery) power?

    > A battery totally buggered may this "non-response"? I expect the laptop to operate on DC power regardless of the internal State and secondary battery.

The laptop should run without battery. If the adapter is ok and if it was connected to the laptop, then it should be possible to start the machine.

If the laptop does not start, then it must be a hardware problem.
But believe me; It's not easy to say what exactly is the problem.

Maybe you bought only a bad power adapter that is not compatible with the Sat Pro 3000?
Or maybe there is something wrong with the electronic power supply on the motherboard?
Who knows?  :| Only the technician who checked the laptop can provide an exact error diagnostic.

  • Problem of management of power with the Satellite S2430-402

Every time is start my laptop, I get a message saying "%1 is not a valid Win 32 application" under the heading "E-power", thus the Toshiba power management does not load. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the software from the cd, but it does not work, and I still get the message.

The problems began after I installed a program called Ghost Surf 2005 and ran for the first time. Since then I uninstalled but still has problems. I am running Windows XP operating system.

    Can anyone help?

    Hi Dan,.

It seems that the software corrupted a file which is responsible for the powermanagement! There is what we call common files and it can be replace a file, the installation of Ghost surf!

You can try to solve it with the Windows XP system restore when you set a restore point! Back to a restore point that was resolved before installing the software!

  • Audio skipping on the Satellite L350

I have problems with the audio on my Satellite L350.

I bought it in February & for the first two months, I had no problem, but more recently I've been doing audio stuttering/vibrations/jump on my laptop.
It always happens to intervals of 5 minutes for a few seconds on all the sound elements of my laptop - CD, DVD, winamp, iTunes, Windows media player, Media Player VLC, audio stream of Web sites, tones of warning if they happen be awakened at 5 min interval.

I've seen some suggestions about this problem online like updating my audio drivers (I tried that & it didn't work), close all unesscesary programs, listen to music when I am not connected to the internet & the cnnection wireless on my laptop is off - none of them have worked.

If someone else has had this provblem & is there a solution for this?

    Hello

Hmm, I've never had or heard of this issue. I have the Satellite L300, which is similar to yours and I can't view t no problem with sound I even often listen music.

In any case, noticed the same problem with external speakers too? I mean if you can determine if the internal speakers causing this problem or something else.
    Check it!

In addition, I would recommend updated the BIOS you can find on the Toshiba site.
And what OS are you using? You use the factory settings or you have installed another Windows?

  • Power XDVD intermittent satellite 4090 problems

I just purchase a Toshiba Satellite 4090XDVD and find an intermittent power on the problem.
Use adapter + battery (partly charged) the first power to the ends in 2 seconds - no Toshiba logo/message on screen, no disk activity after his initial whining for 1-2 seconds. Power on and then turn on again everything happens normally.

System looks good - no boot errors or messages and the date and time are not correct - so no indication of a problem of cmos.
Sometimes I have to market twice as much power. After the system powers on normally, it will continue to do so-if I leave for a few hours or a day, the problem reoccur. Using the AC adapter and remove the battery, ignition problem is worse - a 4-5 power downs / restarts before it starts.
When the problem occurs, the LCD screen is blank - no logo Toshiba etc and I heard 1-2 seconds of activity - shrill drive etc - then nothing.

The AC and LED right next to her are on.
No other LEDS are on (unless the battery installed and get orange solid leads) sometimes turn off refuses and I hear 1 long beep followed by 29 short beeps.
Yet, once it powers up that will continue to power upward normally until I have let rest for a while.

My documentation shows two batteries on a board inside - cmos and RTC I believe - but I hesitate to dismantle the pc and replace because I see not all the symptoms that they are the problem (no error cmos, no problem of time).

I know that its an old PC, but I just use it as a second computer for small jobs and it is awesome. Anyone had a similar experience or ideas? Your comments will be appreciated!

    Hello

In my view humble and honest, this looks like a motherboard problem.
I think that no one would be able to tell what part on the motherboard could be affected, but what you could do is check RAM.

In many cases the failure of RAM can cause issues too
Check the RAM may be worth a try

So as you can see, a lot of suggestions, but that's all

  • Recovery disks does not not for the Satellite L350

    I have a Toshiba Satellite L350, I bought a few years ago

Originally it was a laptop Vista Home premium and I opted for the Toshiba windows 7 upgrade and its been pretty much without problem.

But recently something went a bit weird and things were not only works well (he would not always disconnect you and never seemed to stop correctly) and various other applications does not work properly.

After a few uninstalls, reinstall, scans and patches from Microsoft has done nothing that I decided to take the plunge and use the recovery disc.

I bought a Toshiba when I am the machine initially and had made one myself, before you upgrade windows 7 and a new after.
I still have the windows 7 upgrade DVD so I can apply after if I had to start back on vista.

The only other big change has had an upgrade of RAM 4 GB - I still the original of the RAM, if I need it, but before that there is no hardware problem not reported and chkdsk was also very good.
So for me it was the o/s that was the problem.

I tried now all recovery discs and they all have the same problem of reports that imagex cannot decompress the second frame of the file because it is corrupted to block 90 I n t have this real message at your fingertips
    but can be updated later.

I can t see that I m something wrong, like everything I do is to put the dvd in the drive and reboot the laptop with the F12 key to boot from the recovery DVD and follow the screen controls on.
You use reports from such that previously or I am doing something stupid?

    Thank you

It's very strange that al recovery discs show the same error message. As far as I know when you start recovery image installation that the HARD drive will be formatted, new partitions created, recovery image copied to the second partition of HARD drive and as the last step is the installation of recovery image.
    > I bought a Toshiba when I am the machine initially and had made one myself before the upgrade to windows 7...
Have you tested the two of them in the past?

In General, all you do is right. In my opinion, the problem may be recovery image itself or perhaps HDD has some defect in certain areas.
If you can get the second HARD drive somewhere Exchange it, value default BIOS settings and test the installation of recovery again.

  • Cannot restore to factory of the Satellite L350

    Hello

I was having problems with Vista so a friend recommended that I tried ubuntu.

But now I want to go back to vista, but I can't get my laptop to run restore.
I tried now pressed 0 while turn also by pressing f8 but it always starts just as usual.

The Toshiba recovery disc creator isn't on my computer either. I do not have the disks of Vista, but if I remember correctly that my laptop never came with them, I am really stuck on what to do.

    Satellite L350

    Hey,.

I'm a little confused about your ad Mr. you wrote that you tried Ubuntu but you have installed Ubuntu and Vista deleted or was it just a live Ubuntu disc?

The Toshiba HDD Recovery feature is described here:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/HTD9102IR0000R01.htm

But something more: the HDD recovery works only with the version preinstalled Windows from Toshiba, so if you have installed another OS or an upgrade, this option doesn't work anymore.

And you're right: the laptop doesn t come with Toshiba Recovery disk because you must create this disk you use Toshiba recovery media creator which is preinstalled. This tool will create a boot disk with a picture of settings which can be restored each time unlike HARD drive recovery which works only with the original installed OS.

To cut a long story short, just ordered a Toshiba Recovery disk and install it. Then you have the back factory settings :)

  • No power on refurbished Satellite L350-14F

    Hello
I recently bought a refurbished L350-14F to a company eBay (http://www.clearancebargains.co.uk/). It arrived today and after plugging in it, there is no power to the laptop, no indicator of system or anything like that.

I plugged the power cord in the power adapter and the DC IN jack, but nothing. I even changed the fuse in the plug, just in case that was the problem but still nothing.

I obviously contacted the company, but he said to expect answers to emails within 3 business days and today being Friday, this means that I won't have an answer until Wednesday next week.

It is obviously either a defective power cable (which is what I hope) or a faulty laptop, although they provide to their customers that the products are fully tested. What I'm asking is if there is any way for me to understand what is wrong in the meantime? I won't be without a laptop for a week if there is a simple solution.

The laptop is not turning on the battery either, but I guess that the batteries arrive free of charge.

AC adapter / CC's may be defective.
I don't know how much you've paid for it but I think best thing to do is to bring this notebook.

  • Impossible to use the Satellite L350 recovery disk

I bought the recovery disc for my Satellite L350-370 followed instructions beginning now stopped program to "waiting for odd vacancies" moment for this strange worked perfectly.

Laptop only if off now and no keys work.

    Help!

I really don't understand what is happening here. I used the disc of recovery many times and I've never seen this message.
By default the BIOS settings and restart your laptop. When the laptop starts up and you see Toshiba welcome screen press F12 repeatedly to enter the boot menu. When the start menu is shown on the screen, place the recovery in the optical disc drive disk. After doing this choose the CD/DVD drive and press ENTER. What happens when you do this?

ODD must begin to read the recovery disk and you should see recovery on the screen menu.

  • Power of the satellite S3000 - X 4 question.

I got an S3000 - X 4 to look at, and I can't seem to find the problem. (I searched these Forums and Google before this announcement and can't seem to find a result)

    The Machine lights.

I had the original power supply, Battery, DVD player and memory. If I hit the power button the camera seems to try to start up, the hum of hard drive noise, the led power and HD light turn green (alternating current is already on), happening for about 5 seconds, then it stops everything and let me just with the AC power light.

I tried to use a different power supply with the same output (voltage and AMPS), and the same thing happens.

I removed the battery, just on the AC and still the same thing. This too after the DVD-Rom has been removed, and even I remove the memory and he gave a wipe incase it was a bad connection.

When the battery is connected, I get a flashing Orange (about 1 second for 4 seconds) I guess that's the charge of the battery? Although my Acer laptop, when he is in charge there is static, I don't know if Toshiba shows differently.

If I just have the battery connected, and no current it won't start at all, so I think the battery is dead, and flashing errors say maybe the battery does not charge, but with him does not not on AC only, it's confusing me.

The Toshiba worked well at a time, then the next day, they went to turn it on, and it would be not just turn it on. I thought that it could hiberated, but I can't find a button that he brings back from hibernation. (If that is the question)

Can anyone shed light on this problem, because I want to help my friend before there to make any money on repairs. (Willing repaired at all, after all the prices for laptops are so cheap now, it might be worth buying a new one)

    Kind regards.

    Hi Paul,.

from your description of the symptoms, I suspect a faulty motherboard. As you say rightly, the laptop must turn on without the battery in place, so I think that can be eliminated as a possible cause.

Having removed / clean the modules of RAM as well as the optical drive only hard disc and even if it didn't it should still turn on the laptop.

    Kind regards

  • Initial configuration of the Satellite L350-170 hangs on step 3

    Dear all

I wonder if anyone can help. I took a laptop Toshiba Satellite L350-170 on Thursday received last week, left turning the battery for 24 hours before using (oh patience!)-he walks from Friday afternoon at around 15:00 and step 1 and step 2 of the initial installation went well. I created my profile login and password. He then started on step 3. Unfortunately I had to leave my office for a meeting, (the laptop is my personal, I got it to be delivered at work), and I guess he went into hibernation or mode 'sleep', because I had to sign in again when I came back to it.

I decided to leave over the weekend, but this morning, I had to reconnect, and it still occupies in step 3 to the top... it's now under 2.5 hours and it's still step 3 - is it meant to take this long? What IS 3 stage? Installation of the software?

I'm obviously reluctant to turn it off (certainly a last resort), but it's very, very stupid. every few minutes I turn and move the mouse on the touchpad. Someone at - he encountered this before? What is the bust? Should I turn off and see what happens?

If anyone has any suggestions I would be extremely grateful.

    Thank you
    Red

I put t know what happened with you for laptop and why the installation doesn t go to the next step and doesn t finished, but I guess something was wrong during installation and now the OS crashes.

Try to recover again and check if you can complete the installation.
Press F8 after you turn on the laptop.
Then choose the option called fix my computer.
Then a new window opens and there you have to choose the last option called Toshiba recovery.

Well, now the new recovery will begin and the operating system will reinstall again.

    Check it out!
