No power on refurbished Satellite L350-14F

Hello
I recently bought a refurbished L350-14F to a company eBay (http://www.clearancebargains.co.uk/). It arrived today and after plugging in it, there is no power to the laptop, no indicator of system or anything like that.

I plugged the power cord in the power adapter and the DC IN jack, but nothing. I even changed the fuse in the plug, just in case that was the problem but still nothing.

I obviously contacted the company, but he said to expect answers to emails within 3 business days and today being Friday, this means that I won't have an answer until Wednesday next week.

It is obviously either a defective power cable (which is what I hope) or a faulty laptop, although they provide to their customers that the products are fully tested. What I'm asking is if there is any way for me to understand what is wrong in the meantime? I won't be without a laptop for a week if there is a simple solution.

The laptop is not turning on the battery either, but I guess that the batteries arrive free of charge.

AC adapter / CC's may be defective.
I don't know how much you've paid for it but I think best thing to do is to bring this notebook.

My Toshiba Satellite L350-14F with Realtek RTL8101E family PCI-E fast ethernet NIC (NDIC6.0 with Vista OS) cannot establish a connection with the outside world...
I tried many drivers, but all do not work... I can't find any other driver. So I guess there must be something else on the computer...

I reinstalled my computer while going to format all my hard drive and I have no CD of drivers for the laptop.
When I got a _wired_ connection, Vista can try solve the problem itself. He found a driver and then I am redirected to a site of toshiba... Where to download a driver from East. I start the download and installation, but then the installation says that I don't have a correct serial number...

PS: I checked my BIOS for strange things and one thing caught my attention on
I have an option: Wake On LAN anti-piracy. And it is disabled
BUT I can't change it to activate.

    Hello

First of all, it would be interesting to know what you mean without link with the outside world
The wireless network card is recognized correctly in the device (without yellow exclamation points) Manager?
The router is visible on your computer?

First of all, you must make sure that you use the latest WLAN driver on Toshiba website:
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com-online downloads support & -online Download Driver

Additionally, make sure that you have installed the latest version of BIOS that you can find on the site of Toshiba, too.

You should check the WLAN Setup on your laptop and the router. Make sure you that you have disabled Vista of WLAN power save function. You can find this option in Vista Power Management.
Make sure that you use the same standard WLAN on your laptop as on the router, for example, 802. 11B or 802. 11 g.
Last but not least you must update the firmware on your router. You can find it on the site of the factory. After the firmware update unplug the router for 5 minutes of the AC adapter.

    Good luck!

PS: Wake on Wireless LAN has nothing to do with this issue. It of a feature that you can boot the laptop via a WLAN connection.

  • Satellite L350-14F find the router but will not connect

    Hello

I just bought a new laptop Satellite L350-14F, but I can't seem to connect to my connection wireless broadband.
    My roommate's laptop connects fine.

The mine finds the network, asks for the WEP key but will not let me.

I am running Windows Vista SP1.

    Can anyone help?

Hmm. I recommend you to check the settings of the WLan router.
If the MAC address filtering enabled and that your WLan MAC address was not included in MAC address filtering, then you would not be able to connect to the router.

It would also be possible that you try to insert an incorrect encryption key

Therefore, it would be desirable to disable all the security settings on the router and then try to establish the WiFi connection.
If this would have functions, then you might reactivate the WLan security settings.

By the way; Check if an update of the Wlan driver could also sometimes there is some compatibility problems between the Wlan router and Wlan card drivers.

  • Satellite L350-14F - high temperature

I own a L350-14F and going crazy from the heat and the noise of the fans.
Temperatures of 70-75 degrees CELSIUS (= 160-165) are 'normal' for a few minutes after starting.
The hottest areas are on the side left (where the fan is) and on the upper right of the touchpad.
These times are really standard... even when I'm not using it!
With some intensive programs, I even noticed 92 degrees CELCIUS!

I tried to reinstall everything and assuming that it was caused by a faulty driver or something. But not.
Using the Toshiba restore disks, did not help.
Using an original CD of Windows Vista has not helped either
Update all the drivers have not helped either

    There is one thing that helps, but slows down the laptop;
in the BIOS there is a parameter named "Multi-Core-transformation" which has 2 options

    * Dynamic
    * Always low

Initially, it is located in Dynamics.
But when I set to always low temperatures, less than about 45 degrees Celsius, (and the fans are not as strong).
It is not a real solution but it solves the problem of heat

The machine is completely up to date with all the drivers, patches and updates (even vista SP2)
But also after a full restore using the Toshiba disc problem stay.

Anyone knows a solution or cause?

Thank you very much for the comments.

On this forum that a lot of people want to use non-Toshiba display driver and I've tried to explain as many times that these drivers are not optimized and tested on Toshiba laptops.
I am very happy that you confirm my opinion on these drivers.

You got your laptop with the tested drivers. Perhaps the graphic performance is not the best but graphics card is not required to run at high or maximum level. The laptop will be cooled properly, the cooling fan will be not strong and constantly run and, of course, there is no risk of damaging the equipment.

55 degrees is certainly normal working temperature.

    Good bye

    Hello!

What laptop you have and you have the latest driver WLAN? You can download it here:
    http://195.182.196.33/WLAN/

In addition, I recommend turning off some options that affect the WLAN functionality (device-online card Manager WLAN-online properties => energy saving) saving.

The laptop and the router, use the same standard WLAN and disable all the security settings on the router for the test.

    Bye!

  • Satellite L350-14F: cannot run with Win XP .exe files

    Hello world

I formatted my laptop because it was full of stuff I didn't need.

So I installed windows XP SP3 NL, and many who went.
When I installed the drivers it just does not execute the .exe file, also if I wanted to extract a zip that it wouldn't work.
I tried everything, deleting drivers and stuff like that, but nothing worked.

Thus, when nothing worked, I installed Windows Media Center 2005 and still the same problem occurs.
    Can someone help me please?

The only problem is that it won't install my drivers, I have no idea why.
I bought when Vista has been installed, changed SATA to compibility and then install windows xp.

    So now its not working,
    What to do. TYVM.

    Hello

To be honest it's a little hard to understand your question, but if you extract the files from the zip archive you must launch the .exe file and follow the instructions on the screen.

Or, what happens exactly, if you launch the exe file? You get an error message?

Alternative you can install the drivers in the device without exe file manager. It work?

  • Satellite L350 plays no more CD

    Dear members,

My 1 year Satellite L350 14F play more CDs... DVD works fine.

I tried to delete the UpperFilters LowerFilters en. The Upperfilters was successfully deleted, but I couldn't find the LowerFilters.

After that, I deleted the software and restarted my laptop, but also, this did not help.

Tried to open the CD's failure but this mode did not very well too...

Yesterday I went to the computer store and there they told me that I had to download a player on the Toshiba site. Guy advised me to download the DVD - RAW drive. But this disc is not available for the Satellite L350.

    So, can someone help me?

    Thank you!

    Hello

I doubt that this has nothing to do with the pilot, the point is that Windows does not need additional drivers! It already uses the pilot Ms.

The reason why you, CD/DVD drive do not read the CD more could be different.
One reason might be a compatibility problem between the disc and drive would not all 100% compatible discs, the other reason could be failure of laser in many lens laser lens may not calibrate correctly and the drive are therefore not readable

In this case, the STRANGE must be replaced.

    Satellite L350 - 16L
    32 bit windows 7 ultimate sp1

Power cable is connected, start the start, and just at the point where desktop should appear, the system restarts.
When the system is running on battery, everything works fine.
When the system boots to battery, works very well, and if I plug in the power cable, the system hangs
When the power cable is plugged in, battery charge normally.

I tried the different power cable, same thing.

Do you remember when this issue began to appear?
It would be interesting to know if something special that has happened in the past
You use the original Toshiba AC adapter that came with this laptop?

I think that this problem occurs due to the problem of the motherboard and I imagine that there could be some electronic problem power if the AC isn't affected adapter.

I think it would be the worst case, because it means that your motherboard must be replaced to solve this problem... motherbaord replacement is very expensive and, probably, it is not worth to fix...

By the way: is it possible to reinstall the system, while the laptop is conencted to the power adapter? What happens if enter you BIOS mode?

  • Satellite L350 - screen turns pink

Hi guys, I was wondering if you can help me!

I just bought a new Satellite L350, but after a few days of working with it, my pc screen goes pink! It goes back to normal for a short time, then flashes and then goes back to a shade of pink!

I handed my laptop to the dealer, but after a few days, the dealer gives me the laptop and said that the laptop is OK. (the laptop was not repaired be the dealer, has only been tested, but no problem occurs at the moment) Now it works normally...

I thing this is a manufacturing problem material, because it happened just the power button is pressed, the window is load.
I've read a few articles on the internet and most of them referred to it as a problem of bulb.

Do you: I must insist to the dealer to replace my laptop with a new (or repair) o

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance,

Have you tried to update the display driver and BIOS? Maybe it s a hardware issue, but first, I would try to update the two things.
    Consult the Toshiba site:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download drivers

You have the same problem on an external monitor? Can you check that out, please?

  • Satellite L350 loses the wireless connection

    Can someone please help?

I have a Satellite L350-170 which perfectly connects to the internet using a cable to connect to my router.
When you use the wireless to connect, I can only get a connection so I first of all turn off the wireless card and then enable it again, but I lose the connection within two minutes. I can reconnect if again, I turn off and then turn on the map.

The OS is Vista Home Premium Service Pack 2, fully implemented to date. I have updated to the most recent available wireless network driver. I tried to turn off IP6.
The laptop is connected to the network and receives a signal of power when it connects.
When the connection is lost, no networks are detected, but properties card says card works Ok, although Ipconfig says media disconnected. Other mobile stay connected anywhere in the House.

Thank you in anticipation of a quick solution.

Where did you download the latest driver for the Realtek 802.11 g (RTL8187B) wireless network card?

This is the WLan from Toshiba portal, where you can find the latest version of the driver:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

I recommend also to renew the IP address if this problem would occur.
Cmd execute command: ipconfig / renew
This should help to assign the new ip address

By the way: in the Device Manager-> Wlan card-> properties-> power management, you can uncheck the mark option which disables the card in order to save energy.

Have you tested the WiFi with open (unsecured) WiFi connection?
