PowerCLI Remove-NetworkAdapter questions - need to remove the single card

I need to remove a single adapter via PowerCLI:

"Get-NetworkAdapter - VM myvm" returns:

Name Type NetworkName MacAddress WakeOnLan
Activated
----                 ----       -----------  ----------         ---------
Network adapter 1 e1000 VM Network 00:50:56:09:09:09 False
Network adapter 2 e1000 VM Network 00:50:56:01:08:07 False

I want to only remove the NIC 2, so I tried:

"Remove-NetworkAdapter - networkadapter"Network adapter 2"which returns:

Remove-NetworkAdapter: cannot bind parameter "NetworkAdapter". Could not be converted
the value of 'Network adapter 2' to type 'System.String' to type 'VMware.VimAutoma '.
tion.ViCore.Types.V1.VirtualDevice.NetworkAdapter ".
On line: 1 char: 38
+ delete-NIC - NIC < < < < '2 network adapter.
+ CategoryInfo: InvalidArgument: (:)) [delete-NetworkAdapter], Pa)
rameterBindingException
+ FullyQualifiedErrorId: CannotConvertArgumentNoMessage, VMware.VimAutomat
ion.ViCore.Cmdlets.Commands.RemoveNetworkAdapter

So I tried:

$network = get-networkadapter VM - myvm

Remove-NIC - NIC $network

Who wants to delete the two network adapters:

Confirm
Are you sure you want to perform this action?
Operation 'Remove network adapter' target 'NIC 1,
NIC 2 ".

So I tried

$network = get-networkadapter VM - myvm

Remove-NetworkAdapter NetworkAdapter - $network.networkadapter [2]

Which returns:

Cannot perform indexing in a null table.
At line: 1 char: 63
+ delete-networkadapter networkadapter - $network.networkadapter [< < < < 2]
+ CategoryInfo: InvalidOperation: (2:Int32)], RuntimeException
+ FullyQualifiedErrorId: NullArray

So, what don't get me?  I need to remove the 2 network adapter only.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

-stephen

You can do

Get-NetworkAdapter VM - myvm | where {$_.} Name - eq 'Network adapter 2'} | Remove-NIC

Note that a table of PS starts indexing at 0.

If your last attempt should be

$network = get-networkadapter VM - myvm

Remove-NetworkAdapter NetworkAdapter - $network.networkadapter [1]

  • Satellite L750-A218 - how easily / safely remove the MMC card

    Hello

I just tried the MMS and inserted a MMC console.
I have a question now. After eject devices.

How to remove it properly. I tried pushing gently so that it would make the ticking and make out but that has not worked. I didn't force and ruin the slot. I can get out, but I have to raise the laptop.
On the user manual. Those are the steps for removal:

    1. open the icon remove the device safely and eject media on the Windows taskbar.
    2. tap media memory and click on the left Touch Pad button.
    3. Enter the media up and out of the computer to remove it.

I have not quite step 2. Please explain to me how easily / safely remove the MMC on this laptop.
Also, tell me if pushing the MMC will be out or not.

    Hello

What card insert you? MMC (MultiMediaCard)?
Usually you will need to enter the card and pull it out of the computer s slot to remove the media but when you insert the support of memory in the wrong direction, you will not be able to remove

    > I have not quite step 2. Please explain to me how easily / safely remove the MMC on this laptop.
In most cases the task bar contains a small icon showing that the media card is inserted...
We must therefore stop this read/write process before removing the card...

  • BlackBerry smartphones remove the Sim Card from storm

How do you 'delete' the SIM of the storm? I know that the battery has been removed. I tried to delete it, but seems to be stuck? I looked into the Blackberry site, but it does specify that on installation there. The SIM is uder a metal clip, I can "move". No problem with the phone or the sim card, but maybe later, that perhaps I need to remove it. Thank you.

Maybe I have use a small screwdriver and try to lift the clamp metal, to see if that helps, too. Thank you.

  • Insert/remove the sim card

    Hello guys,.

I was wondering if it's ok to insert or remove the micro sim card when the phone is turned on, or when it is off but load?

It will damage the phone or is it OK to do?

    Thank you

    Hello

If the phone is off you can insert and remove the micro sim card card whenever you want.

There should be no promlem it when the phone is turned on either. I made it myself with different phones and watched others making and have found no problems so far. Although I noticed that in this case, it was more difficult for the phone sometimes to connect to the carrier and I had to do it manually.

Anyway, you better refer to the manual of your phone and check if she says nothing about it.

  • Removing the network card

    Ok...

Recently I tried to get out of my motherboard, all the components, all of my HPE 300z and put them all in a new computer case.

However I have just found out that my wireless LAN card prevents me from out the motherboard. You see, the card (which is a 1 X 1 inch chip apparently embedded in my Board), has its antenna located on top of my Tower, hidden under the top of the coververing page. The wire, who looks like she is permanently attached to both the chip and antenna, passes through a small hole in the intestine in the high my case to get to the antenna, which as I have said, is located in the space between the two cover very high and the top of my case. This poses a dilemma, in which it is impossible to remove the 'antenna' because it does not take into the small hole in the top of my case.

By 'antenna', I mean a small piece of metal may be 1 cm top, 2cm across which is held in place by a screw. When I looked very carefully, I've seen next to him, serious ANT-3 marks on the computer case. I noticed there was one of them with a knurled further on each of the 4 corners, ANT-2, ANT-1, etc..

Then... I wonder, 1.) If any of you have an idea what I'm talking about, or if I don't make any sense

2.) If you don't know what I'm talking about, is anyway I can get this card? I'll just have to cut the wire and size $50 in the process? Should I call tech support and see if they help? Should I consider in Best Buy and have the geek squad look?

-Thank you for reading this, any help is appreciated

  • Possible to remove the top card, title bar and navigation?

Hi, with is the new beta version of DPS possible to open the article without going through a card/article summary page to interact with?

In the previous version of the DPS, you could specify some of these options.

Ideally, I would like to remove:

    • The title bar
    • Interaction with the card - directly in the full experience
    • And remove the net asset value of high level 'Done' feature

    Miss me just something hope.

    Thanks for any help!

    Hello

Instead of jumping into the list of cards for a collection (the so-called Page Browse), there is a setting on the collection of jump in the first article. Essentially, this allows to bypass the page browse and opens the first item in the collection.

For now, there is not a way to disable the application user interface.

  • I can go back to Intel HD graphics after removing the graphic card Nvidea GT 620?

    Hello

Lets say, I have installed the GT620 Nvidea graphics card for my PC, PC graphic is now set by default for this card. If I don't like it and I take my PC card, PC automaticaaly will increase from the original Intel HD graphics? What I have to do a reset or re install drivers Intel?

    Thank you

    Low

    Hello

You unplug the external graphics card from the computer, the default computer starts using the integrated graphics card. There is no need to install the video drivers. However if you encounter a problem, you can reset BIOS to factory default so that you can update the video drivers from the Web site.
