• Windows 7 64 - bit on Precision M6300 - video problem

  I just installed Windows 7 64-bit on a Dell Precision M6300. There is a video problem. Here's what's happening and what I tried:

  The problem:

  • If I move or resize a window, the colors go crazy and it becomes illegible or at best, barely readable.

  What I tried:

  • Installed the latest driver from the Dell support Web, for 64-bit Vista site. It has a little less well.   No, I don't have success with the NVidia driver installed by Vista. I spoke too soon on that aforementioned; It turned out that after installation, he always used the "Standard VGA Grahics adapter" until it restarts. While using the NVidia driver installed by Vista and the problem was back.

  The only thing that worked was "Standard VGA Grahics adapter" driver for Windows, which is slow.   I solved the problem by getting an another Dell Precision M6300. It has no problem with the NVidia driver installed by Windows 7 and Vista. Probably, I will not try the Dell driver since it is about 3 years, while the NVidia driver installed by Windows was only around 3 months of age.

  I think it's clear now that there is a hardware problem with the first M6300. He returned to the eBay seller.

  By coincidence, the two laptops are from the same seller to eBay and the new its trackpad buttons were a bit sticky.   I am running Ubuntu Hardy Heron on a laptop of precision M6300 with 17 "LCD screen.  I want to photo editing and the need to adjust the color temperature of the LCD screen.  It appears in blue compared to my other monitors who have set to 6500 K color temperature, so I think it's fixed to about 9300 K.

  I love his Keys. I suggest that you download the demo of the two. They both have 3 ranges. They both generate keyframes. They both allow to define custom scopes. I think there may be an option in Trapcode Sound Keys, which is not available in reactor to beat but I haven't used the latest version of the reactor beat so I don't know and I don't remember who it was.

  Both do a great job. The two make linking easier audio effects because you do not have to interpret the keyframes generated inside the expression and you can choose the frequency range of the sample.

  BTW, Windows Task Manager is not 100% reliable when they say the speed of these processors unlocked and it is not 100% reliable when they say the CPU so best to ignore these data.  ThrottleStop properly reported your CPU to 2992 MHz.  Be happy that there is a free solution available which can completely solve that problem for you.

  OK, I found the problem.

  Now Audio work perfectly.

  The problem was related to the pilot HDAudBus (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE-SYSTEM-CurrentControlSet-Services------HDAudBus) which was fixed with the start (REG_DWORD) 0 x 4 (disabled). Set to 0 x 3 and rebooting, everything has been implemented.
