Precision M6500 heat &; shutdown problem
My Precision M6500 has a heat problem... a few things happening:
- Several times when Windows 7 updates when I stop for the night, then the next day I turn it on, throw some updates. But fans are going like a bat out of hell and the CPU will completely illuminated and the heat gets way up there in the range of 90 * C.
- Recently, after the system is dormant and turn the sytem, it displays a message of warmth and he made a stop. After that the system will test himself, he does not finish and it made an emergency stop down.
- Doesn't take much to get fans are going like crazy and for some time, the back of the laptop is extremely hot and never cools.
Dell Precision M6500 i7 CPUX920 overheating
I have a very simple solution, good cheap and reliable (although noisy). The left back is key for cooling of the CPU. Place a vacuum cleaner against the bars at left-back and let it rip. I was running just 6 engineering model simultaneously (in the past even in courses run 1 model would be cool generals + 90 c and often stop). Vacuuming sucks the temp down to 15-20 ° C in a few seconds.

(Redirected) Precision M6500-white screen on startup and black screen on reboot
Hello my Precision M6500 has recently begun to behave badly and has following symptoms.
1 display a white screen on market and a black screen on reboot, the OS boots aand, one that can discern by the jingle of windows at the end of the startup procedure.
2. the unit turns to the insertion of the battery.
In order to isolate the root cause of these issues, I tried the following without success.
1. replacement memory
2. new display motherboard cable assembly
3 start with on the SSD on the system, and even at the bios level that the symptoms remain.
Anyone knows similar symptoms with their unit and if what was then the final fix deployed to solve these problems.
The system is running an ATI graphics card I read a little about the black screens in booting with Nvidia cards, can anyone confirm if all the info out there has any application for ATI cards.
Thank you

Satellite L850-E8S - shutdown problems
Hello everyone
I bought Toshiba Satellite L850-E8S with Windows 8.0 (for a single language) preinstalled in October 2013. At the moment I can't get stop normally.
Question: * pressing Shutdown (stop) of charms goes up "Windows is shutting down" and after that the screen turns off but power light is lit and the fan keeps operate.* I stop it by pressing the power button, I really want to quit smoking. (Once I didn't notice that and put the laptop in a bag for a few hours and it of a miracle that no equipment would have been burnt, despite the laptop was hot like the Sun) * the problem started after a month of use, and I didn't think her yet.*
First of all, I thought that the case concerns him * hybrid Shutdown in the Win8. I have visited many forums dedicated for hybrid stop, proven fruitless discussions. *! AND! I had the same problem on my laptop with a slight difference - loading Win7 and Linux * the monitor stays on (with the lights and the fan on either). *
Moreover, I also saw a BSOD after a day I bought the laptop. This problem concerned Realtek Audio driver and SRS Premium sound. As I understood the question is drivers conflict. Right now I have no installed Audio SRS premium and see no BSOD, but Realtek audio driver is not stable: the sound either begins to work in a few minutes after starting windows or it does'nt work at all.First of all, I wish really that someone to help me with the shutdown problem. All tips are welcome.

I am running XP service pack 3 with the NB200-z. This anomaly is intermittent, so it happens _most_ of the time, but not always (it does not seem to the use of a particular program in an obvious way).
During the shutdown to the bottom/hibernation or switch mode Eve anyway (closing the lid, pressing the power button / stop or start menu) it will close Explorer and all running programs and make it appear a window saying "prepare to stop" (or never, what state he's going in) and it just stays there. The mouse moves, so it did not freeze completely. By pressing ctrl, alt, del fails to bring up the Task Manager, so I don't see what is going on. At this point, my only option seems to be down the power button until the machine turns off.
Sometimes it will go beyond this point and the window disappears but it crashes and then completely on a blue background Uni where the same mouse cursor will not move. At this stage even once, I have to hold the power button until it turns off.
There are times where it will happen normally tap down and all the other computer functions seem to work very well?
I have looked around online to see if anyone else has this problem too, but have found no solution. Microsoft offers online that I disable the drivers one by one and keep close to see if it is a driver but I know it is damaging my HARD drive every time I turn off manually so I do not know what to do. I stopped him fine mode safe but it sometimes will vanish so fine...
I thought it's maybe someone knows of a recorder of closure that I can use to debug with? If I had a newspaper what file it broke so I could replace or remove the file?
Thanks a lot for your help :)
Rob
Usually bad drivers or badly written apps cause a shutdown problem.
You have installed all the drivers recently? For example, a USB device or a printer?
What AntiVirus you have installed?

Why DELL Gets the network for the Precision M6500 W10 driver?
I installed on my Dell Precision M6500 W10 / core i7, and after I've loosed my network connection still after a few minutes.
It was impossible to get the Broadcom for W10 network card driver, so I had to format my HARD drive and return to W7!
My laptop is five years old (May 2010), but this isn't a reason to throw it away.
So, where can I find the Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet driver? (there is no solution on the site of Broadcom).
Thanks for any help.

Installation of your primary hard drive question Precision M6500
I bought a Precision M6500 that didn't have a hard drive or a caddy in it. It doesn't have a secondary hard drive. I bought a shopping cart, but do not see how the hard drive connects to the motherboard. Another part is necessary? Here are some photos of the space in my laptop where the main hard drive is supposed to go.
Thanks in advance for any ideas on that.
Too bad - it was user error. The sata connection is hidden beneath the motherboard. I see now and simply drag the hard disk and in the connection.

HP Pavilion DV4-5110TX overheating and thermal shutdown problem
HP Pavilion DV4-5110TX under Windows 7 Ultimate x 64
I had problems with this computer from the beginning, to be honest. But now the situation is unbearable.
I can't go even 30 minutes making the slightly intensive tasks involving the graphics card
(Like the game in low detail, do a rendering/CS/CAD work) without thermal shutdown due to a problem of overheating as a result of misplaced fan. and the fan on this thing is very very strong, even in low market (another downside of this model, but it's not the point).
SpeedFan shows average at 90 c CPU and GPU Temp about 65 ° c temp. Even when doing absolutely nothing (like now). What does really serve to accumulate all these heat? solve the world huger?
I tried to clean the vents, use the Compressed Air used an expensive Cooler Fan, reinstalled Windows and other drivers HP and demand several times now. and I exhuasted.
Then. Help? Anyone?Hello Opscsd. I understand you are having some problems with the closing of overheating and/or random downs.
How long have you had this laptop? It is still under warranty?
The fan makes a noise of rattling sound similar to what you would expect if the fan was loose or is it simply "strong"?
You have ensured that you have the latest version of the BIOS? You said you updated the drivers and applications so I assure you. I think it's the latest BIOS for your laptop.
I would also make the built in Diagnostics for hardware (RAM and hard drive because they both can cause similar symptoms). This will help narrow down the cause. If you don't know how to do these tests take a look at this document. Be sure to view the results.
I will keep an eye out for your answer. I wish you a great weekend! -
Satellite Pro R50 - B Series 10 Windows shutdown problems
Hi out there!
I wanted to just inform you on an enoying but reproducible BUG:
Toshiba Satellite Pro R50 - B series:
You must disable the Intel Management Interface in the Device Manager in the contrary case, the computer laptop didn't shutdown completely / Standbymode will not work.
Question (Bios V1.4 - Intel ME 11.00.1166):
Work more than 30 min. then try closing. Screen goes blank - but the LED on the stay before the fan stays on until the battery is completely discharged. Or try to go to sleep mode. Even the stop.
Just disable Intel ME Manager of year Windows devices you fine.
Waiting to hear from Toshiba - I m a reseller, so the same problem exists on > 10 notebooks here.
Best regards, Bernhard

The screen doesn't come back and is the only way to solve the problem by restarting the computer (by holding down the button) when restarting the computer, it displays the error message 'Thermal shutdown' and info on why it could happen (none that helps) until recently I thought it happened only after playing games more than 1 hour , but today the thermal shutdown occurred after only 5 minutes?

Toshiba SA40-702... Strange shutdown problems
This machine turns off after a short period of time all running against the cold. As the temperature rises it will fit more quickly. None of the indicators Flash to suggest an overheating problem. I checked the fan and the heat exchanger of heat for dust or debris and they are clean as a whistle. Sometimes, it will be turned off and immediately begin to start up again, while other times, as the display goes out and there is no hard disk activity. Someone at - it clues please?
Hi Ian,
Having excluded from overheating as a possible cause, it could be that the thermal sensor has gone faulty causing the unit to lose power at random.
I don't know any virus that causes this kind of effect. Sasser issues a warning message that a reboot is imminent and it is fairly predictable in its frequency. It is always worth to check for any viruses though.
