Preferences

When I press 'Preferences' to print in grayscale, black ink only, the page is so great, I can't tap on OK or print at the bottom.

I tried to move - can not.  I tried to change it to my default - same problem.  This just happened.  Help!

It would seem that your screen resolution has been replaced by a low value.  Assuming that you are running Windows (what is your OS?) you can right click on an empty spot on the desktop and select 'Display settings' or some similar to restore the correct screen resolution.

  • Give preference to a wired connection

    Hi all

I'm lucky enough in my house to have a Wi - Fi network and witeless.

Although my 2015 Macbook Pro has no Ethernet RJ45 port, I installed a USB extenderes with a Rj45 Ethernet port included and now patched in the cable system.

Q: are there in all cases that I can configure the Mac Book Pro to use the network wired and not on the wireless network if it is plugged?

Then it is simply wireless when it is not plugged in?

    Appreciate your help

    SImon.

In the system preferences network move the Ethernet connection to the top of the list. The Ethernet connection is used and if the Ethernet connection is not connected connection method will fall to the second item in the list, your wifi connection.

I reported the problem/bug to apple and I called him support Apple Care technical on this subject yesterday. Can someone tell me why Apple took dictation and the word of the preferences system Mac os Sierra? Or was it just an accident? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

    Hello

    May be corrupt Dock preferences.

Open the Finder. In the Finder menu bar, click go > go to folder

Then copy and paste the following text:

    ~/Library/preferences/com. Apple.Dock.plist

Click OK, and then place the file com.apple.dock.plist in the trash.

Restart your Mac, then try to open the system preferences of the dock.

The prices your Apple Watch the Mac on the same network Wi - Fi?  Sometimes the shows may use another network - its s trying to find a network, if the iPhone is not available.

Is your set watch in place with an access code?

Once you have changed your two-factor authentication, you disconnect from iCloud and vice versa, on the matched iPhone and Mac?

See the specs here: automatically unlock your Mac with your Apple Watch

Use Auto unlock with any Mac and Apple Watch that satisfies the requirements of continuity system:

    • Apple Watch (1st generation), Apple Watch series 1 or series 2 Apple Watch using iOS 10

Do it from iTunes directly on your computer. Connect your iPhone to your computer.

Scroll down the page until you see subscription (1) and click on manage. Select student members and follow the steps to verify with your student email. It should work.

  • Error in Time Machine preferences

    Error in Time Machine preferences

Could not load Time Machine preferences panel.

(Very late) I noticed that Time Machine has not performed a backup since August 16. I wanted to open Time Machine preferences in order to restart the backup or what is the problem. I can't get the Time Machine preferences window to load.

    I already have:

Restarted the computer, hold down the SHIFT key

Removed from the external hard drive on Airport Extreme and plugged directly on the mobile phone to make sure it works. Checked with disk utility.

Renamed the external hard drive with a name I didn't know I will recognize.

Reconnect the external player to the Airport Extreme.

Computer runs a mid 2009 MacBook Pro with El Capitan.

An Ethernet cable connects the extreme a very close express to the laptop. Intense beep.

    Ideas or cures?

First, try the next simple step. Search for the file

    / Library/Preferences/com. Apple.TimeMachine.plist

... and drag it to the trash.

To access this file, copy the line following and Paste it in the Finder go > go to folder... window.

    / Library/Preferences /.

    Make it look like this

Click OK. In the Finder window that opens, find the file com.apple.TimeMachine.plist and drag it to the trash.

Sign out and then sign back in. Determine if you can open the Time Machine preferences window.
