Premiere Pro CS5 Scripting Support?

Supports Premiere Pro CS5, extendscript, or any other scripting language script?  I see it as a target application in the extendscript Toolkit, but I don't see a place in Premiere Pro to run scripts.

Thank you

Devin

You can script in first with extended script, but it seems it is not officially supported. No manual or using, for example, etc. I hope it will be soon.

    Description of the problem:

I got a bunch of MOV files on a disk formatted HFS + for editing on Premiere Pro CS5 (5.0.3). When I import to Premiere, first said "Codec missing or unavailable. Paragon HFS + is used to manage the disk formatted HFS +. I copied the data to a disc formatted NTFS before use.

Research, I gave the following indications:

I tried to play in Quicktime and Quicktime said that I would need additional software to play the .mov file. But I could run the detective movie and it shows "XDCAM EX 1080i 50 (35 Mb/s VBR).

VLC plays (!) and says it's a "video Mpeg 1/2 (xdvc)"

    MediaInfo said "MPEG video (XDCAM).

The sound is PCM (L) according to inspector mov programs.

The MPEG2 format seems to be supported by first (also in HD), forum entries tell me that I should be in version 5.0.2 as it Adobe supports the MOV container. So now my question: what am I missing?

I have no idea on the camera used to film, but it could be a JVC, as it says that the JVC writes mov files.

    OK, let's go:

    1. Get an accumulation of static electricity of FFmpeg here: FFmpeg Windows builds of HawkEye. The 32-bit version is fine.
    2. Open the file from archive downloaded and go to the folder "bin"; ffmpeg.exe extract to a folder containing your SBDAs.
    3. Create a new text document in the folder with FFmpeg and the media, called 'mov2mp4.bat' files by making sure that you change the .txt extension to. bat.
    4. Open the text document and paste the following text:
      @ECHO OFF
      for %%a in (*.mov) do ffmpeg.exe -i "%%a" -vcodec copy -an -f mp4 "%%~na".mp4

    5. Save the document (even once, ensuring, it has a .bat extension), double-click it in the Explorer. The batch file runs and every MOV in the file processing and repackaging it in a MP4 container. It is lossless (there is no transcoding) and should go relatively quickly. Note that this is not also copy the audio, so you do not have the video files only. The resultant MP4s will perfectly be important in first.

  • Why is-Premiere Pro CS5 slower on my system than Premiere Pro CS 4?

I just upgraded Production Premium CS4 Production Premium CS5.  Have Windows 7, 64 bit OS, 9 GB ram,

Processors Intel quad I-7 (over clocked to 2.90 ghz) 2.67 with hyperthreading.  I have nothing of any real substance

running on my system in addition to Adobe.  I've just loaded in a ton of DVC PRO HD 60 images and am editing 30 minutes

program.  Once I am in Adobe first Pro CS 5, it works quite well, everything works well in real time.  However, the time

I click away from Premiere Pro as on my desktop, then try to click back in the Premier Pro, my screen goes white, Premiere Pro says

"do not answer" in the title bar and everything freezes for a solid minute.  4 CS do not at all.  Anyone know what is happening?

The goal is to help and solve problems for all parties involved so that we can all be more productive.

I never said or implied at all this:

To say there is no problem with CS 5 software is just ignorant happiness and to be honest, deteriorate distorted.

So... I'll put this another way for you then.  I will not have any issues that you and Sacha face with P2 files in particular.

They review they rank, export etc...

I have an ongoing project that has 54 GB of mxf source files.  Not a question that sounds like something that you mentioned above.

It's a lot of files or a large project... I don't know compared to your projects... but combined with mixed graphic files more seq TIFF and tgas, wavs more notice of AEFX... it certainly adds to the top in my system.

My material is not super computer. This is not even a system RAIDed.

Must report... I go really far, or, to and from something else that applications of the Adobe Suite in my Suite CS5 but often many of them are open at the same time.

I had a system glitch that caused 'go a little sleepy' apps, when left UN attended.  It was an advanced power management framework. (some what hidden)

I also have a NAS, but this isn't for editing where to.  IT has Media Junction in my configuration between suites for the file archive and transfer only.

Re: Why is-Premiere Pro CS5 slower on my system than Premiere Pro CS 4?

My experience is that I said previously.  CS5 is much faster than CS4.  I suspect that many others have a similar experience to mine.

So the question you guys are seen as being a little more unique to yourself.

  • Blu - Ray back to premiere pro cs5

    Hello

I'm new to this forum, I am experienced enough in PP, even very experienced in Photoshop CS5 and all. I made my own videos, retouched and burned in Blu - ray. I would now like to put all my videos for the past 6 years on a drive hard but only have DVDs. How can I write them back to Premiere Pro please. I have not all clips either and no media cache files.  I would be grateful if you could help me in the form of points please.

    Thx a lot.

If I have this week, I tried to use a new USB microphone.  After that connection I tried to first Pro CS5 and EVERY TIME it crashes when loading the ExporterQuickTimeHost.prm on PP. logo

I read it is a problem with the firewall, but I checked my firewall Windows 7 and NONE of my Adobe programs appear on the lists of what is / is not allowed to cross the wall.  I even tried to disable Windows Firewall and it still frozen when loading.  I had this before years ago and I think a corrected system restore, but my point of restoration before the issue has been corrupted and I'm stuck.

  • Premiere Pro CS5 and CS4

I upgraded from the Creative Suite Design Standard CS4 Master Collection CS5.

As I am running 32-bit Windows, first Pro CS5 would not install and I had to install the 32-bit version of Premiere Pro CS4 and After Effects CS4 provided with Master Collection CS5.

It worked well until I wanted to use ther Adobe Dynamic Link in Premiere Pro CS4 to link to yet - it has not worked.

Is it possible I can get Premiere Pro CS4 to Encore CS5 for dynamic linking?

Or, Alternatively, could Adobe provide a copy of the Encore CS4 Suite Master Collection CS5 for 32-bit users, as it did with Premiere Pro and After Effects, so that they can use dynamic binding facility?

Is it possible I can get Premiere Pro CS4 to Encore CS5 for dynamic linking?

    # The rest is probably thwartet by restrictions for MPEG and DVD license stuff as it existed at the time. Anyway, IMO is not worth working with DL. Due to the memory in 32-bit applications, it will be severely strains he had tons of bugs at the time.

    ---

    Hello

We will migrate from Final Cut to first Pro and I am trying to preview the footage in Premiere Pro via AJA Kona LHe and it doesn't seem to work at all. First of all, seen in After Effects (CS 5.5) works great!

Basically, I get nothing on the AJA Control Panel, it does not change even among the default bars I put if you change do not. I used various parameters of sequence AJA without luck and Panel AJA playback in sequence settings settings looks more or less empty. I used bars and tone in a clip on the sequences. If I scrub the timeline, I get the image below in the desktop preview monitor while nothing happens to the AJA. If I try to make the work area, nothing happens. When I play the movie, the playhead goes to frame 0 and does not play.

Any idea what's going on here? I tried to reinstall the drivers of the AJA and AJA Adobe Plugin without effect.

Someone at - he encountered this before?

    I've attached these screenshots:

Playback (player) in sequence settings settings... Something clearly wrong here. "Council" has only one option "basic tier" as shown on the screenshot. "Audio device" has "AJA Audio", "Adobe Audio" or "Mute". 'Conversion of color' has 'Hardware' and 'Software '. Other pull-down menus provide options when clicked. If I click 'Ok' or 'Cancel' Premiere Pro instantly crashes with an error below.

Don't know if it's related or not, but like I said After Effects CS 5.5 Preview computer correctly on the AJA Control Panel, but when AE is started I get this error message:

Would appreciate any help on this, don't want to throw a card just because it doesn't work in Premiere Pro!

  • QuickTime and Premiere Pro CS5

When I go to export my project I don't see as an option in QuickTime format.

Let me describe my situation.  I downloaded a particular version of QuickTime (without QuickTime Player) for use with Streamclip MPAC to copy a video to a DVD on my computer.  After the file was created the video played in Windows Media Player with audio but no video.  QuickTime has created a restore point, so I used it to uninstall QuickTime and start including QuickTime Player.

When I went to reinstall, I get the message "already exists."  However, I don't see QuickTime anywhere, and as I said, it is absent from Premiere Pro format options.

Now my questions: how to fix this?

If I uninstall and reinstall Premiere Pro it will install QuickTime automatically or do I have to install QuickTime manually?  If this is true should what version of QuickTime I install?

Help, please.  I am stopped and cannot continue with my project.

There is no 64-bit QuickTime. We had to create a support utility for communication between our software and 32 bit QuickTime. Simply install QuickTime normally, and it should work.

  • 5 different AE comps with Premiere Pro CS5.5 in CS

I just upgraded to CS5.5 this morning. I had worked on a project in Premiere Pro with imported AE comps for lower third titles. After the upgrade, these comps are more transparent - they cover underlying video titles rather than just a bunch of third lower partial opacity. I guess it has to do with a problem with alpha channel? They worked perfectly before the upgrade, does not now. Someone has an idea of what is wrong and what to do about it?

    Thank you!

    Laree

I suppose that by 'imported AE comps for lower third titles', you mean that you use Dynamic Link to import the AE directly in Premiere Pro comps, as opposed to making it first in a file.

We're investigating a problem in first Pro CS5.5 and dynamic links that may be to blame for this.

    Your configuration is the following:

    1. The background color of the After Effects comp is not black.  (Not RGB 0, 0, 0).
    2. Hardware acceleration is enabled for the Mercury playback engine in Premiere Pro.  (Menu project > project settings > general, rendering engine is set to "The Mercury Playback Engine GPU acceleration".)

If so, you may have stumbled upon the same bug, we're looking at.  Sorry about that.  The cause of the problem is being investigated.

You can work around the problem by doing one of the following:

    • Change the background color of your comp to black. (RGB 0, 0, 0)
    • Only change the rendering engine in Premiere Pro for Mecury reading software engine.

If this problem does not fit your situation, please elaborate on the content and settings of your project, or post some examples to look at us.

  • After effects and Premiere Pro CS5?

    Hi guys,.

I'm quite new, I've only done a videoproject and it was in Premiere Pro CS4. Now, I have a new machine and have the two first Pro CS5 and Adobe After Effects. I started to learn the AE in some videos and it's quite impressive what you can do.  So I hope that I can use AE to improve my videos.

My question is, will I do the project in PPCS5 and then connect to EI to make special effects on clips or I'll do the whole project in After Effects?

If I choose to AE for the project, I'll miss certain features of Premiere Pro?

    Thanks in advance!

    Sven

It depends on what you do in your project. I did pieces that have been entirely graphic animated started in AE, then went to the first. However, if you do a science fiction film, you should start first then go to AE.

I very rarely would export a clip of first use in AE. There are ways much, much easier to work with Premiere and AE. You can use dynamic links, which some people like. You can also import a project into AE and it comes as a composition with all your video files as layers cut and everything. Here is a page with more information.

As someone new to AE, I highly recommend you , start here.

  • Premiere PRO CS5 and Matrox RT. X 2

I bought a Matrox RT. X 2 for use with CS4 2 months and after seeing a demonstration of CS5 and the Mercury playback engine powered by Cuda Nvidia cards I'm beginning to wonder if the Matrox RT. X 2 will remain a good investment for me. I would like to believe that there isn't any RT X 2 driver again for use with first Pro CS5.

While RT X 2 supports only HDV and CS5 now offers full HD real-time including the more aggressive AVCHD playback, I start to wonder if Matrox doesn't matter what will make RT X 2 users.

I'll be very grateful if anyone can provide me with useful information on this.

Well, I guess that you have bad timing in this, but... the 4600 is a dated map, you should of went with the more recent 4800.

I strongly suspect that matrox RT X 2 pilots in the works right now. not sure if they made public announcements on this yet.

CUDA offers quality max scale all the time as default, but I don't know what the problem is with the PP scaling in the first place. never had a problem with it and I'm pretty picky
