    Hello

Sometimes I reinstall windows 7 as my hard drive internal has been corrupted. If I want to install the drivers manually. I use the Satellite L650-15 G and Windows 7 64 bit operating system.

While checking the Device Manager, I see an error displayed as missing for the device PCI simple communications controller driver. What should I do?

Guide me please to find a solution. Also, I installed driver detective and it showed many drivers need to be updated a few missing and like that.

    Can I trust a third-party application?
    Please help me...

According to specification for laptop, your laptop computer came with preinstalled Win7 64 bit, so you must use the recovery for the installation of the OS image, but I assume that you didn't create drive recovery, right?

I put t know which device, it can be, but you can try to identify this unknown device, following the tips outlined on http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/ann.jspa?annID=78
Thank you for posting the result and we can help you find the right driver.

As a general rule you don t need some third party software part. All you need to do is install utilities, tools, and Toshiba drivers available al. Important is to install according to the order of the proper installation. If you need assistance you are welcome.

You n t need some updates to the driver. All you need to install at the end are updated Windows but important updates only.

  • Norton network adapter "Microsoft ISATAP map2" diagnostic reports works do not correctly-could not load the required device driver (code 31)

Using Vista Home premium on HP pavillion m8075a model RZ555AA-ABG. Norton network adapter "Microsoft ISATAP map2" diagnostic reports works do not correctly-could not load the required device driver (code 31)

As none of the problems are met with connection network, do I ignore this warning or try to update the driver?

    Hi eucalyptussurfer,

You can ignore this error message. This error message does not indicate a problem with the adapter. The adapter will continue to function correctly.

    Please see the following article:

On a Windows Vista-based computer or on a Windows Server 2008-based computer, the Microsoft ISATAP map appears with a yellow exclamation mark next to it in Device Manager, and you also receive an error message

  • ThinApped application requiring a mounted network drive and get "Unable to connect to the sharedDbLibrary" when the application is running on W7 and the drive is mounted

We have an application that needs to have a specific network drive, mounted with a the letter I:\. This support allows the application to access some of the files that must be available for the application to run.

If the I: drive is not mounted then the application will not work and you get the following message if displays the runtime "Impossible to connect to the sharedDbLibrary.".

We have the application on an XPSP3 box thinapped and everything works fine as long as the drive is mounted.

The ultimate goal is to have the application thinapp running on a workstation of W7.

We have mounted drive I:\ on a post of W7 and ran the thinapp app by making the same error message that allows us to obtain under XP as drive I:\ was not mounted "impossible to connect to the sharedDbLibrary".

We checked that the drive I:\ is accessible and we also validated that the path is good. We were able to reproduce the problem in a Windows 2008 box, as well on the other hand the thinapp works fine on a Windows 2003 operating system.

So basically with the drive I:\ mounted on XP and Windows 2003 the app big short thinapp. With the same drive I:\ mounted on W7 and W2008 application does not run and we get the same message that allows us to get on WXP and W2k3 when drive I:\ was not mounted and the app couldn't find the mapped drive.

Anyone know how to start to solve this problem?

Have you had a look at this blog post? http://blogs.VMware.com/ThinApp/2011/04/making-Windows-XP-only-apps-run-on-Windows-7.html

It might help you to add necessary dll and get the app runs on Win7.

  • munmap network drive on ICB

    Hi all

Inside a CVI 8.1.1 program, I needed to find out if a logical drive letter, hides a network drive mapped or not.

For example, I would like to know if f:\mydir is really a directory of my drive hard f: or if it is \\server\mydir (where \\server is mapped in the f

    Any ideas?

    Thank you very much

    Sergio

    Hello-

There is not a way to do it with any API LabWindows/CVI, but you can do with the Win32 development kit.  In particular, you must GetLogicalDriveStrings (or GetLogicalDrives) functions and the GetDriveTypefunction.

If you need recover the actual UNC path corresponding to the drive letter, you must use the WNetOpenEnum and WNetEnumResource .  By using these functions will require the version of LabWindows/CVI full development.  You will also need to add Mpr.lib to your project to post a link in these functions.

I wrote a small example application that gives the following result on my machine.  Take a look at the attached code (it's a little rough, no error checking etc) and let me know if you have any questions.  To generate the code, you will need to add mpr.lib to the project you (which requires a CVI full development system).

  • Vista Home Premium cannot perform backup on the network drive

Fairly well described in the title... asks for a password. no password required on each pc. Seems to be a known problem based on the messages I've seen. Is there a fix. ???

    Unstable1

Thanks for posting on this Forum.

What applications do you use to make your backup?  You use the Configuration and status of the backup program that comes with Windows Vista or the backup center and restoration?

Is it a home network?  If so, all computers have the same name of "workgroup"?  As you may know, the same name of user and password must be on all systems that are part of a working group.  You are able to "navigate" to this network drive?

If the network drive (part) belongs to a Windows domain, make sure that you have the appropriate rights to write to this drive (Share) network. Ken

  • Windows 7 won't index a network drive

My Windows XP and Vista (via patch) will allow the indexing of a network drive.  Don't Win 7 - one giant step backwards?  I store a large amount of files on a shared drive.  I traced the drive in Win7, but it is not possible to index.  It MUST be a hack/solution/patch for this, it is simply too a basic requirement.  All solutions?
    Thank you

Well MS provided hotfix KB2268596. Try to install the fix, add the EnableSearchingSlowLibrariesInStartMenu DWORD reg value, then install the UNC addin and try to rebuild the index. This return search now the results of the network in places like search?

  • How to view photos stored on a network drive with Surface RT

I have my picture stored on a network drive and I want to be able to view the photos on my surface using photo enforcement.

I've mapped the network drive on the Tablet and this disc has added to my library of photos. I can see the drive in my library of photos very well and go through it in Solution Explorer.

But I can't see the images in the application of the photo - library appears empty.

    Can anyone help?

    Thank you!

'Add the library system folder directly.

    "Access the required network folder."
Which library do you mean? The application 'photos' itself or something else?
The only way I can see to add anything else that skydrive, flickr or Facebook (which does not work correctly) is to "import" and when I choose it is said that a device is not found.
In addition, annoyingly, the photos app doesn't seem to have the same option to access files as 'videos' does (with whom I managed to access my videos on a network drive), so I don't know how you have located a network folder?
If you could be more specific with your efforts, it would be a great help
    Thank you!

Looks like you have never used before libraries. I suggest you only look at that (it's a piece of windows 7, but its little similar for windows 8)

  • What is the problem of refusal to store a catalog on a network drive?

Someone had to write the code to recognize and block specifically tries to access a catalog on a network drive.  This must be fixed immediately; in most environments and in my environment, local disk is obsolete, often completely lacking.  If there is some, it is more often than not saved.  Lightroom can't work in this environment currently, no reason except a stupid check in code.  NOP just out and we're good.

Network drives are not supported because LR, being a single-user only database, must ensure that no other users are also update the database, and some network protocols implement properly the few functions access to files, mainly the functions of file locking and this allows multiple LRs write data in the database even w/o each other know about it.  This would lead to a corrupted database.

If LR ever gets to redesigned to use a multiuser database engine, allowing multiple users to simultaneously access it, then she could support on a network drive.  Nowadays, this usually requires a separate database from the client computer server computer and for simplicity is not done, at least not yet.  I mean imagine a relatively technically naïve photographer trying to set up or operate again once something does not work.

A workstation LR needs to a locally connected storage to house the catalog because only this allows LR prevent other users simultaneously access the database and corrupts it.  I use a USB3 WD Passport Ultra to my catalog and it works well.  I do it, not because I don't have a local hard drive, but because I need to use the single catalog and my current working set of photos on two different computers.  I noticed a WDPPU USB3 TB 2 on sale for about $95 at best buy last month or two.

  • macOS Sierra always invites credentials for network drives

At home, we have several Macs, when connecting, to mount a network SMB readers of different servers (OS X Server and Synology NAS). The credentials (username and password) for the network drives are stored in the keychain of the user through the time of the first option "remember this password in my keychain" readers was already mounted. So a command like "Mount" command correctly get readers without users needing to interact with an authentication dialog. This was works very well for a long time a completely up through OS X 10.11.6.

In the Sierra, any attempt to build a network of road always opens the authentication dialog. The password can be filled in advance (probably from the keychain), but the user must always respond to the dialog by clicking OK. It is a huge problem for me because it breaks the loads of the automation scripts that I have that rely on the use of 'Mount' (the problem is not specific to climb, however, the same problem occurs if you use something like the command "Connect to Server" Finder).

I tried to delete all the entries in keychain "network password" so that they will re-creqted (they make), but the behavior problem persists.

Anyone know if this is a bug or design?

Just to clarify. I mentioned "Mountain" above, but it is not really correct. I don't talk to the OS 'mount' command line command but rather the command mount AppleScript as in:

    Try

    turn up the volume "${url}".

    try to end

the same problem afflicts the function 'connect to server... ". "finders.

Certainly a change in behaviour; I hope this is temporary and is fixed in an update in the short term.

  • Windows 10 - Thunderbird isn't always finding network drives when saving attachments

    Intermittent failure.
This happens especially if I start Thunderbird without first looking at a network in file Explorer - but not always drive. If the drives are not displayed. He does not even recognize the readers if I get one physically (say E:\ for my NAS box) or click on a shortcut to the reader and tells me that the disc is not available and I should check all physical connections. If I abandon the Thunderbird and use the drrives File Explorer are all there. Ebb in Thunderbird usually find all the readers, so I can save the attachments. Worked fine in W7 is a Thunderbird/W10 issue.

sets the space to the left producing a Horiz scroll bar

Network and Thunderbird readers have a very eventful history. There are still open around bug to save files in the network drives.

    That being said
I don't think it sounds like Thunderbird. Looks like widows not opening the connections until after they requested. I would guess that repeated in Thunderbird attempts could also encourage the loading of the network drive.

Historical files Windows backup certain folders (Documents, music, photos, videos and office) on a network drive. How can I get Firefox to automatically save Favorites, for example when I leave FF, in one of these folders, for example "Documents"? While it is automatically saved in a place where the drive of my PC crashes.

Sorry, a feature like that is not available in Firefox, runs to move your entire profile folder.

But this Pike Bookmark Backup extension is able to do this.

  • How can I connect my Mac to a network server? As in windows yo go to my computer / connection to a network drive, and then you select a letter and write the name of the server that you want to be logged

I'm trying to adapt Windows to my new MacBook Pro with OS El Capitan.

I work remotely for a company and I want to connect my Mac to the server of the company.

My question is how to connect a MAc to a network drive with the permanently available connection.  For example, in my old HP I went to my computer / connection to a network drive. I've selected a letter and note the name of the server that I wanted to be connected to. The connection was then shown with my other drive hard 'sections '; I want to say C:, D: (for recovery), e: (for tools) and then connecting to the external server has been shown with the selected letter.

There is no "letter" under OS X. It's a hangover very old of BACK, devices of mapping and volumes labeled mailbox.

If you are connected to your corporate network, you should see the available network volumes listed in the Finder, in ' my computer > network ", or with the command K to connect to a server.

You can create an alias for the volume and put it in the Dock, or leave on the desktop or put it somewhere else, and the next time you want to connect to this subject, simply double-click on it. You can also add the server address to your "favourites" in the connect to Server dialog box.
