Prerequistees for Jdeveloper and ADF!

Hi all

I m 11g form/reports developer and has a few basics of Java.

Please let me know prerequistees for Jdeveloper and ADF in details.

Thank you/cordially.

Biron.

No need to jump on 12 c! I understand that you want to learn the ADF. In this case read blog of Shay https://blogs.oracle.com/shay/entry/how_do_i_start_learning_oracle_adf_and_jdeveloper that gives you a good list of things you can do. If you think you know enough about one of the topics, goto the next.

There are many other documents on the web, like YouTube video tutorials or onlins as https://blogs.oracle.com/jdevotnharvest/entry/learn_adf_online_and_for or Oracle ADF Insider - Learn Oracle ADF Onliner

or https://blogs.oracle.com/jdevotnharvest/entry/learn_adf_online_and_for

and most linked on the homepage of JDev.

    Hi all

What was the best and stable Jdeveloper and ADF for the elaboration of a draft?

    Concerning

There is no problem because the difference of the WLS version does not influence with adf. 11.1.1.7.0 can be installed on wls 10.3.5 and 10.3.6. Application developed with 11.1.1.7.0 can be deployed on WLS 10.2.5 or 10.3.6 havingthe ALI DURATION installed 11.1.1.7.0.

    Hi, experts.

I know there are way to find in subspace JDeveloper and ADF discussions in this forum, I created.

But I have tried and tried and can't find a way to again tonight.

(I searched the menu: profile, activity, action, inbox etc..)

    Can someone give some advice?

    Thank you.

Click on your name at the top of this page, then click on "view profile".

Here you have a link to 'content' and that brings other links on the left where we are 'written '.

don't know if you can filter it into subspace...

  • Need for JDeveloper and SDK7 on a x 86 box

Need x 86 solution: I have JDeveloper SE 11.1.2.4.0 (JDEVADF_11.1.2.4.0_GENERIC_130421.1600.6436.1), later x 86 build available.  I find that I need to > = 7 SDK in order to use java.nio.channels and I need to use an x 86 Win7E workstation for this purpose.  This combo of installs for JDeveloper, SDK, JVM, others can I use to activate dev with java.nio.channels on a x 86 box please?

User, a glance in the cewrtification Oracle JDeveloper 11 g Release 2 (11.1.2) Certification matrix tell you that jdk 7 is certified with jdve 11.1.2.4.0, so the use of java.nio packages should work. You must use x 86 JDK version as your operating system is only x 86.

  • Difference between JDeveloper and ADF

Can someone explain the difference between JDevloper and ADF

Good question. ADF as a framework comes with JDeveloper. It's near enough impossible to dissociate (or at least you wouldn't bother). Download this track JDev and you get included free ADF.

  • Creating a level Application with Jdeveloper and Adf

I have to start a project {enterprise level} which takes place essentially on ADF... My question is what is the right way to develop the new project, in which 10 people can work simultaneously on different features. How can I assign different modules to different developers and then integrate them so that it work all together.
I don't want to use any rest of source code... Is jdev provides another way to integrate?

    Thanks in advance

You don't want to use a management tool such as subversion version (which is currently the better supported in JDeveloper 11 g).
The main thing to consider is split your application into modules 'stand alone' that you can then assign to specific developers and then through the use of libraries of the ADF to dial in a single application.
There are a lot of discussions about this in the Enterprise ADF methodology group.
I would like to specifically for this presentation:

  • The 32-bit platform has been abandoned for JDeveloper 12.1.3?

This thread was created to prevent the diversion of this similar thread:

https://community.Oracle.com/message/12509733#12509733 (when the new version of Jdeveloper will come including ADF mobile framework?)

I have replied to this thread and inadvertently ask myself a question:

    always 32-bit will be supported?

    Timo Hahn replied as follows:

If you check the matrix certification Oracle JDeveloper and ADF 12 c (12.1.3) supported systems , you see that only the windows 64-bit systems are supported. You can try the generic installation program that can run windows 32-bit inn.

That is why this thread for my question.

Certification for 12.1.3 matrix lists only the 64-bit systems. It is not clear if the support of 32-bit system only has not yet been made public or if Oracle has abandoned in favor of the 32-bit platform JDev framework and SDK extension.

We have tried to create and manipulate Developer extensions sql for several years, but there have always been problems; in particular, the absence of sufficient documentation for changes between sql developer and framework Jdeveloper, he comes and the lack of any official source for XSD schema files necessary.

The last issue was the transition to the new OSGI framework for these two products.

Developer 4.0.2.15.21 SQL is supported on 32-bit Windows and use the Jdeveloper 12.1.3 framework which, until today, NOT went public.

I posted a question in this forum and the developers forum sql on a problem of Extension when you use the JDev 12.1.2 and Sql Dev framework.

    https://community.Oracle.com/thread/3566788

This code example, I provided in this thread appears to indicate the following:

    1. a bug in the version of sql developer 4.0.2.15.21

    2. a bug in Jdeveloper 12.1.3

    3. an incompatibility between this version of sql dev and the 12.1.2 Framework SDK extension my sample uses (since 12.1.3 was not available

So I'll try to understand what JDeveloper and Sql Developer extensions will be cared for and on what platforms.

If the Jdev 12.1.3 framework won't be supported for 32-bit, which probably means that extensions for 32-bit versions of Sql Developer will not be supported.

But this version of Sql developer is publicly available for 32-bit systems and its architecture makes heavy use of the extensions. So he itsn can't clear at all whether the general public can develop extensions for 32-bit sql developer if Jdev 12.1.3 framework is not available on this target.

One of the problems with the use of JDev to create Developer extensions sql was that developer sql was NOT available as a target platform for the deployment.

I expect Oracle to announce a delivery date for a 32-bit version of the JDev framework. But since the 64-bit version was only published and that Sql Dev is supported on 32-bit platforms and uses a (perhaps in-house) version of the 12.1.3 framework I hope that Oracle could at least tell us if a decision was made to abandon support for the 32-bit framework or not.

If this isn't the case, then the third party extensions won't be able to support the 64-bit versions of JDeveloper and Sql developer.

    Hello...

We (JDev) support still 32-bit JDK. The change you see is double: 1) we distribute installers with the 32-bit JDK built, 2) we no longer run tests on 32-bit JDK. However, visitors are always entitled to support when executing JDeveloper in a 32-bit environment. The availability of 32-bit computers and operating systems capable of running JDeveloper fades quickly. Only 64-bit supports fusion Middleware, but for development only (JDeveloper) we continue currently to provide 32-bit support. This will ultimately change in the future (in the same way that we no longer support 16-bit architectures), but the time is not yet known.

Also, I just want to point out that the support of 32-bit is mentioned in the doc certification here:

    Other operating systems Updated Oracle JDK 1.7 51 + (32 bit, 64 bit) Updated Oracle JDK 1.7 51 + (32 bit, 64 bit)

    and here

Gets the support of other operating systems (untested), including 32-bit JDK, for the purposes of a single user in a development only environment. Not planned for production deployments.

  • MySQL and ADF Essentials

    Hi guys,.

I recently changed my PHP/MySQL Tools Oracle (JDeveloper and ADF...). However, my organization has decided to continue to use MySQL as our database backend for now. Since I am still a beginner in Oracle development tools; I started to follow the tutorial using JDeveloper 12 c. I set up a MySQL connection and tested its connection with success.

I also added the file mysql-connector-java - 5.1.27 - bin.jar on the class path DefaultDomain of WebLogic by placing it in the folder: C:\Users\imad\AppData\Roaming\JDeveloper\system12.1.2.0.40.66.68\DefaultDomain\lib

When I create a basic jsf application and run it, I get weird error in my browser:

java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: no constant enum oracle.adfinternal.view.faces.partition.PartitionContext$ AgentName to value "netscape".

It is followed by a long list of 'at' references...

Could someone please explain why my basic demo application does not run?

I seriously intend to shift to Oracle Java applications and need help to start my learning curve.

    Thank you

    Imad

What browser do you use?  This occurs in other types of browsers (Chrome/FF)?

This happens with any JSF into your application?

The following table shows the application servers supported by JDeveloper and ADF. Application Server support for JDeveloper is provided to connect and deploy directly on the server as well as debugging. For the ADF, it refers to the servers that ADF applications can be deployed.

    Hello.

Timo's right. For ADF 12 c, you need 12 c WLS. That's because ADF 12 c is built on top of Java EE 6; WLS 11 g implements Java EE 5 only.

    http://www.Oracle.com/us/corporate/pricing/price-lists/index.html
