prescan

Hello Adobe community,

I'm evaluating the effort involved in writing a JavaScript to pre-scan/query the data according to an order set before running the script, if there will be likely problems.

Any help appreciated as I fight to see how this would be.

Normally, you should put in the catch blocks trying to find these exceptions, and then have different routines to manage things that could cause the script to fail.

  • Prescan in Photoshop

When I scan a tinted monochromatic abstract transparency 8 x 10 inches using a HP Scanjet 8290, image accumulation as HP Scan scans the scan preview is exactly what I want, but when it finishes setting upward in the scan preview window, it seems very different than if we tried to improve the analysis. I unchecked everything I can find in the different menus in HP Scan and also in Solutions of HP but nothing helped.

I use Windows 7 Ultimate and Photoshop CS5. I turn on scanner, open Photoshop CS5 32-bit, click on the PS file menu, select Import, select the HP 8200 Twain driver and scanning HP starts his analysis. I've never noticed this problem before mainly because I was not transparent scanning, no doubt. I put the glass transparency 8 x 10 inches on the glass screen scanner with a carte blanche by the recommendation of HP above it. The scanner gives me what I want to see, but I can't seem to understand how to prevent HP Scan of improved analysis 'gross '.

I thought that because I'm scanning of the PS in PS that perhaps the Color PS profile is the substitution of the scanner, but I don't know.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you

TWAIN, the plugin that allows you to analyze inside Photoshop has problems. That's why it was abandoned.

See cs5 in this document and be sure that you are kept up-to-date. TWAIN plug-in | Photoshop CS4 and later

We can see if that fixes before moving on to the other steps.

  • Portege R100 hard drive does not work properly

    Hello
Recently, my computer suddenly started working slowly. I restarted. Then it took 25 minutes for lunch my windows xp Pro. Whenever I tried to launch an app he bugged and restarted again. After scandisk, I decided to reinstall my operating system with the recovery CD, but the computer still runs slowly. For example, when I opened Internet Explorer, I can't move the mouse or do something else while it's loading the content of the page. everything is locked.

When I tried to run the scandisk, I have the same error (but the folder is always different) like these examples:

1 Disk Defragmenter cannot continue prescan because there is CORRUPTION in file:
    C:\WINDOWS\PCHealth\HelpCtr\System\SCRIPTS

2 Disk Defragmenter cannot continue prescan because there is CORRUPTION in file:
    C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\OOBE\HTML\SDLMAIN

What can be the problem? What is a virus or a hardware problem?

Before beginning the new installation, you can try to repair the system files on the HARD drive.
    -Run CMD
-use the command chkdsk/p or chkdsk/r.

For more details of command, you can run chkdsk /? or chkdsk/Help

But as mentioned above, is the new operating system installation is without danger, but don t forget to make a backup if you use important and data files on the HARD drive ;)

If I see any Stand By and Hibernate problem, I always check that the system is in Service Pack 3 and then check the video drivers.

  • Put into service takes more than 15 minutes. Stop is worse. It hangs at "closing Windows" regardless of the programs that I run is extremely slowly.

Original title: start & close problem. Slow response

My PC is running Window XP SP2. I did all the updates.

Recently commissioning takes more than 15 minutes. Stop is worse. It hangs at the "closing Windows.
Whatever programs that I run is extremely slow.
I ran virus scan, microsoft fixed, but the problem persists.

Well, I think you don't like it, but the first thing to do is to eliminate by using their special tools Norton Uninstall program:

    https://www-secure.Symantec.com/Norton-support/JSP/help-solutions.jsp?LG=English&CT=United+States&docid=20080710133834EN&product=home&version=1&PVID=f-home

Now, you might think I be without protection and get some bad things on my computer, but you just want to see how things are going without it.  Just don't visit WWW stupid or silly sites, where you can pick up some virus or malware and you can always install a new copy, but I think it's a big headache for you now.

It might be out of date, too many options of protection installed, etc.  More protection is not always better, and you will pay for it in the performance of the system with the more stuff you add.

Then when Norton is gone, proceed as follows:

No matter what you use for malware protection, follow these steps:

Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs at:
    Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://malwarebytes.org/
    SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/
They can be uninstalled later if you wish.
Restart your computer and solve the outstanding issues.

Consider instead of Microsoft Security Essentials or Norton - he did a good job.

We must eliminate what can cause problems, so I'd start with Norton.  You can put it back later if you want, but you need to see how things are going without it.  Moving things to a good operating system that you are happy with first.

Eliminate potential problems one at a time and test thing out... one thing at a time.

Symantec/Norton is you biggest problem right now.

    Check your NVIDIA drivers:

I use the NVIDIA site and let scan them online take a look at your video system and see what he suggests for drivers and consider their analysis if they offer a new driver.

It is recommended to run the scan NVIDIA with Internet Explorer.

Here is the address of the NVIDIA page:
    http://www.nvidia.com/download/Prescan.aspx?lang=en-us

Read the instructions, and then click the DRIVERS GRAPHICS button to start scan and answered in the affirmative, if asked to install the plugin required to run the NVIDIA scan.

    Get rid of Norton.

    Hmmm...

    NVIDIA drivers are definitely outdated.

If the system just stops (literally goes off), I suppose a marginal connection inside, an out-of-date driver or a heat problem.

You can carefully and without requiring too much force, remove one reinstall all you cable and connection inside including your RAM and all other devices installed just do one thing at the time, so you don't mix.  One thing at a time... Unplug it and plug it in again.

    Steve

I can't comment on your pc max speed problem, but you can solve your problem by reinstalling the NVIDIA drivers.

Here are my instructions standard copy/paste of the JKB1687 article for your reading pleasure:

If you are using an NVIDIA video system (whether on the motherboard or a supplement), the installation of the NVIDIA software added one or more startup items to launch the NVIDIA Control Panel.  They are set to launch and run whenever your system boots.

If it worked before and you have made some system updates lately, something is messed up with it or your system has an affliction of malware.

To see what commands look like, click Start, run and enter in the box:

    Msconfig

Click OK to start the System Configuration utility, and then click the Startup tab to display the startup items.  You may need to drag the autour columns to see things better and like msconfig isn't a Boot Manager (this is a troubleshooting tool) you can't "make of the display is wider.

Items with check box will be launched automatically once XP restarts.  With the checkbox elements are still "installed" but not set to start automatically every time you start XP.

The NVIDIA partners start lines see you in msconfig Startup tab will look something like this:

    RunDLL32.exe C:\windows\system32\nvcpl.dll, NvStartup
    RunDLL32.exe C:\windows\system32\nvmctray.dll, NvTaskbarInit

If the C:\windows\system32\nvmctray.dll or C:\windows\system32\nvcpl.dll files are missing somehow corrupted, inconsistent, out of date or wrong versions (maybe), when NVIDIA applications trying to launch, messages can appear like this (or even complain):

    Rundll32.exe - bad Image
The application of the DLL c:\windows\system32\nvmctray.dll is not a valid Windows image.   Please check this against your installation diskette.

    RUNDLL
    Error loading c:\windows\system32\nvmctray.dll
    %1 is not a valid Win32 application

If you don't think you use the NVIDIA Control Panel, you could simply disable the items is msconfig to prevent it to launch when you start your computer.  If you use Control Panel NVIDIA, deactivation of the elements and will leave your system without (perhaps not a good thing) NVIDIA Control Panel.

You could just go ahead and disable the startup items in msconfig (deactivation does not uninstall anything), restart your system and understand the functioning of your system.  If things get worse, you can rerun msconfig and reactivate the NVIDIA elements, but I hope that you will not want to fix things the right way.

Disabling items in msconfig is not really fix things and you will not have a NVIDIA Control Panel, but some people don't know what the NVIDIA Control Panel looks so can be good.  You will have stopped the message from popping up every time you start.

If you want to use the features of NVIDIA Control Panel, you must repair or reinstall your NVIDIA software.

The best way to reinstall the NVIDIA software is to visit NVIDIA support web page and let your system and recommend the best software for your system or that you get the right version of the software on their web page and download the latest package of video driver for your system software and install it yourself.

It is recommended to run the scan NVIDIA with Internet Explorer.

Here is the link to the support page NVIDIA for the scan:

    http://www.nvidia.com/download/Prescan.aspx?lang=en-us

Read the instructions, and then click the GRAPHICS DRIVERS button to start the scan.

  • Framework - Missing pkt 1; also have prob w Nvidia files

How can I find this file?   Did a restore and it has not loaded the framework.

Where to repair files from Nvidia?

There is not enough information to effectively resolve / solve your problems.

If you need drivers/software for your NVIDIA components, follow these steps:

The best way to reinstall the NVIDIA software is to visit NVIDIA support web page and let your system and recommend the best software for your system or that you get the right version of the software on their web page and download the latest package of video driver for your system software and install it yourself.

It is recommended to run the scan NVIDIA with Internet Explorer.

Here is the link to the support page NVIDIA for the scan:

    http://www.nvidia.com/download/Prescan.aspx?lang=en-us

Read the instructions, and then click the GRAPHICS DRIVERS button to start the scan.

Let online to take a look at your video system scanner them and see what he suggests for drivers and consider their analysis if they offer a new pilot.

If following their indications do not straighten things, then follow these steps:

Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, MSE, Comodo, etc..

Click Start, run and enter in the box:

    Msinfo32

Click OK, and when the system information summary appears, click Edit, select all, copy and then paste the
    information here.

For information about video drivers, expand components, click view, click on edit, select all, copy and then paste the information.

This will minimize back Q & A and eliminate guesswork.

There will be some personal information (such as the user name and the name of the system), and everything seems to be
information private for you, just delete pasted information.
