  Versions of Windows beyond Windows XP are not entirely compatible with Acrobat 6. The first version of Acrobat that is supported by Windows 7 is Acrobat 8.1 (is no longer licensed by Adobe). The latest version of Acrobat: Acrobat Columbia, six versions more recent than Acrobat 6. You need to upgrade to get all the features of Acrobat.

  Tried to download Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Standard. Installer gave me a wrong serial number prior to finishing, and I had to cancel. This is the serial number on my installation CD. Tried downloading three times and he has refused to accept the number just three times. What should I do next?

  It was awkward, I rechecked again. The problem was caused when I downloaded Acrobat 7.0 Pro rather than the Acrobat 7.0 Standard. Then I used the password for the norm rather than the Pro version. I imagine that the info in the text boxes had nothing to do with the invalid SN message.

  Problem solved. Case dismissed.
