    Constantly received instructions to update for the software device/requirements, even if the device had been updated before with these updates.   • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry ID App world update and battery life

    Hello

    Yesterday, I received a message saying I needed to update my blackberry app world to integrate a Blackberry ID in the new version.  After completing the update, my battery life has been significantly reduced.

    My normal operation autonomy is about 24 to 32 hours.  I got the phone on the charger overnight and after cutting the cord this morning, 4 hours later, I'm at 40% battery, where I should be 90-95%.

    I have not done other updates since the Blackberry ID push, and normally my data usage is low. (IE, less than 300 MB per month)

    You ask what are my options in this case.  I guess I'll have to work on the resettlement of the application through my Blackberry Desktop manager, but I was wondering if there is something I can do in the immediate future.  I've done several soft resets, and it did not help.  I'll do a hard reset (remove battery) and try that.

    No need to keep the old Apps version if you are installing the latest version.

    You can also keep both version or remove the old version if it is no longer necessary.

    Are you sure it's to delete? First on your homescreen go to Options > device > application > locate and remove or make sure that it is not on this list.

    Then from your browser BlackBerry www.blackberry.com/appworld/download search for and download the most recent available for your device.

  • Dishonest seller Smartphones blackBerry Appworld?

    I post here because I can't find any obvious way to contact support of Appworld. I hope someone here can help.

    About 4 months ago, that I bought for £4.99 an application called Unit Converter by Adorno via Appworld.  When installing the application, it became clear that it wasn't working properly on my Torch 9800 immediately. I reinstalled several times but nothing helped. The app constantly crashed, in the drop-down menus have been non-functional and the graphics were awful.

    I contacted the support in the normal way and not having received any response after several weeks that I posted a review of the product on the AppWorld who shared my bad experience with this App all about 6 weeks later I finally got a response of Adorno claiming in a misspelled sentence that they were aware of the problem and that it would offer a fix in the next update.

    As the still there were no updates again, I visited AppWorld. Here, I was shocked to discover that my review and it seemed more tests offering low rating in stars was removed and only reviews with 5 star were left. The most recent review is November 2010. Very strange that all refute comments, probably the people with the latest BlackBerry OS6 devices etc. have been removed. This app was released in April 2009 and is not compatiable with the latest operating systems. This in my opinion is fraud. Mislead people that this is an interesting application when in fact it is not, I say, for people who have experienced similar problems with Adorno unit converter.

    Two days ago, I wrote to Adorno claiming that there was no update next I want a refund. Surprisingly, I received a reply today "you must contact the online store to request a refund" that it was a response to a rude phrase.  With a previous unrelated incident, I got an immediate refund direct to the seller so in this case, I'm left wondering, what store?  I can't see any link on any BlackBerry site to get refunds and I am obviously against a seller with bad business ethics, take the money and run. Is it normal or RIM Appworld rules for sellers to act like that? If anyone can help or offer advice on this doesn't please, I'd love to hear from you. I also think that the Adorno seller should be studied by RIM. BlackBerry offers high standards, Adorno certainly aren't.

    That being said, you bought the app in a store called "BlackBerry App World". If you want to request a refund, it is normal to communicate with this store and not the developer.
    When you buy a pair of jeans to Levi at Best Buy, you go to the Best Buy receipt for a refund.

Indeed, when I enter a keyword in the search field, he sends back the result by categories (News/Games/My World...).     Delete AppWorld from your phone and reinstall it, and then update again (if necessary). It is possible that the update has been altered during the download or installation.

    As JSanders says you must check the #1 resolution! Simple! In this resolution of its clearly stated that "on BlackBerry 6 OS versions prior to 6.0.0.706 and App World icon isn't visible. Please check your OS version; If its dessous.706 then go to the link and download using the link provided.

    It works for me and I think it will work for you too, I had a problem of missing on my phone for my OS5 OS6 appworld icon, no matter what I did it wonth work... the only version that works is V3.1.4.25 and I use it currently now... you can also save this problem by visiting this site. and sellect someone who runs on your OS version, believe me when I said it will work cos I did my research for weeks before I fell on this site... Kudos to anyone who owns.

    As I said it has not worked for me and I think that there are other people here who still have the same question to this day... I've been using blackberry for a long time now, and whenever I have a problem I always try to solve it myself.     On your home screen to Options > device > application > locate and remove BlackBerry World from there. After deleting to do a battery pull reboot as this device on remove the battery wait a min. then reinsert back.

    After rebooting your BlackBerry browser browse www.blackberry.com/appworld to download the recent version of BlackBerry World.

    Please try it and let us know.

    First (and easiest) is a reboot or a forced reboot:
