Preserve the dimensions of the image

Hi I'm going to do for ID ACE exam

Studied by far - and I am not happy with the option «size of image preseve»

This is a practical question on from adobe (with response)

4.1 based on a given scenario, determine the best settings to choose and place an image

You want to replace an image from a selected photo. The new image is larger than the original
image. You want the new image to import the same percentage of scale than the original.
What should you do?

A. press and hold the SHIFT key when you click on the button repeat the link in the links Panel
B. hold down the Option/Alt key when you click the Update button in the links Panel
C. before you replace the image, deselect preserve Image Dimensions when reissue of links in the
Part of the file handling Preferences dialog box
D. before you replace the image, select keep Image Dimensions when reissue of links in the file
Part of the handling Preferences dialog box

Correct answer: C

BUT it says this in the help file

Choose how relinked graphics are set to scale

When you relink to replace a chart with a different source file, you can keep the dimensions of the image of the file that is being replaced, or you can view the file in its real dimensions.

  1. Choose Edition > Preferences > File Handling (Windows) or InDesign > Preferences > File Handling (Mac OS).

  2. Choose preserve Image Dimensions when reissue of links if you want images to appear at the same size as the images that they replace you. Deselect this option to have relinked images appear at their actual size

Is this a contradiction or am I be thick

Thank you

80 and 80.4 are quite close. I wonder if the difference could be due to a problem of resolution requiring an adjustment to get a complete pixel, well que.4 mm is quite large in this respect. Are you patched to 6.0.4?

    Hello

    What version # of Wordpress do you use? Later is 4.4.2 it use srcset = html markup that adds to the size of the image in the content for mobile devices.

    Automagically Wordpress downsample JPEG at 90% quality. (I use a PHP code snippet to fix quality at 100%). Or you can use PNG.

    For your slider, best to use images of quality even save to the same size width (in fact the 3 images are: (1925px, 1246px, 960px) wide.)

    The cursor is full width of the window of the browser using CSS style: background-size: cover; (and expand images that are smaller than the browser window).

  • A movie or slideshow of .psd files that preserves the image quality? (v10)

    Hello

    I spent a lot of time creating hundreds of. PSD images that I thought I would open first and create a movie with - incorporating a pause of 5 seconds on each photo.

    The problem is even if the images are superb, the movie looks like shit.  The image and text on the image is blurred.  If I hit the break he straightens up and looks great (just like the original. PSD files).

    This happens in the 'snapshot' film and slide show.

    Please tell me that I don't have to create a PowerPoint slide show to keep the image quality!  Please, I beg you!  I tried it with and without "Autoanalyze" and "autoedit".

    I don't understand, but I know I'm missing something!

    Optionally you can offer guidance will be greatly appreciated.

    If the reading of psd files is the problem (I think), you can try to right click on the monitor and then select the playtback quality to be 'Up' this ensure a display an image complete and do not have the artifacts you mentioned.

    The exported sequence will not have the issues you mentioned regardless of the quality of reading... You can see this or something is broken in PrE10?

  • Invert the Pixels of the Image

    Hello

    I have a vi that calculated centroid and diameter, and the algorithm behind it works on intensity levels. My current work is on cards, so I need to reverse my pixels of images (see attachment file). He NEITHER has a built in reserved vi which (except invert IMAQ)?

    Thank you

    It works very well.  You don't see the results.  You load a new image in the next iteration until it had time to update the display.  The new image replaces the previous reverse image.

    Try the following solutions:

    Add a delay to your loop.  The two views shows the current version of the image (reversed).

    Switch the right-click on the snapshot on both screens.  This preserves the image in the State wherever it was when you posted it.  Very useful when you keep reusing the same image for processing.

    You can also use probes, which should use the snapshot method.

  • Cannot show the dimensions of the image on a Mac?

    Hello

    I know in the 'Pictures' folder, you can select "Show view options" and then "view info point" and it will show dimensions photo... but it is not possible in a different directory, not to mention that the pictures folder?

    I photograph weddings for a living, and I'm fairly new to mac. Naturally, all my images are stored on external drives... I don't see the dimensions of the image? It seems that I have to open each image individually within the preview, and then press CTRL + I to see! Please tell me I'm wrong.

  • In Photos, I changed the date, title and information on the location of the images of a slide digitizing company.  I want to preserve the custom metadata and the original resolution of 2500 dpi in a file backup, but when I export it loses my metadata chan

    Using version 1.3 of Photos, I edited the metadata about the images, I received a business of digitization of slides to insert the first day of the slide, the location, a title and a keyword.  I want to archive these images with the original resolution of 2500 dpi, but when I export original unmodified, it does not preserve information.  When I export by choosing export as XMP IPTC, I can't read the XMP file to see if there are my revisions.

    When I export using the 'Export # photo (s)' choice, I can use the previews/tools/Inspector/iptc and see my changes.  But this photo has only 72 dpi.

    Is there a way to preserve this modification of metadata information in the original not modified?  Alternatively, this file has XMP I exported the info?  If so, how can I read it?  And that would mean I need to export both the original unmodified and the XMP file to my files from archive?

    Don't know what you want - well there is a CIO field in the EXIF fields it is meaningless as DPI is not a setting but the result of a math problem third grade - points by (divided by) inches until you add inches per impression you have no IPR - and when you add inches the DPI for printing are determined by calculating not by any setting

    For more information, see http://www.rideau-info.com/photos/mythdpi.html

    A 1200 x 1800 pixels picture printed as a 4'x 6' printing is 300 DPI bit matter what setting the EXIF says

  • DisplayImageFile() does not change the dimensions of the image control

    Hello

    I put in an image with DisplayImageFile() control image + assigning to the attribute of control ATTR_FIT_MODE = VAL_SIZE_TO_IMAGE. The image size is larger, then the size of the control and I want the control to resize to the size of the image.

    It works fine except when I ask the dimensions of the control with GetCtrlAttribute (panel, control, ATTR_HEIGHT, & height), I get the original size (before calling DisplayImageFile())...

    It seems I missed something basic...

    Environment: LAB Windows CVI 2012, Windows 7

    Thanks in advance

    Ramy

    I don't know if you still experience this problem or not, but I came across this discussion now and wanted to point out that this could happen if your picture controls if it is covered by another control or is it hidden altogether (and there might be other similar situations that I can't think of right now).

    When this happens, the CVI runtime can pull the image directly on the image. Instead, he plans an asynchronous action that will redraw this section of the Panel from the back to the front (if it's just overlapped, not hidden). It is only in the later action that the image is applied to the control, and it is only then that the control is resized to fit the image. This may seem immediate to the casual observer, but, because it is asynchronous, you can't try to get new size immediately after calling DisplayImageFile, because the image is not yet in control at that moment.

    Ironically, this occurs only if the control has already been set to the image size at the time you call DisplayImageFile. If this isn't the case, then the new size is applied when you later change the mode made programmatically. Whereas if the adjustment mode has been already updated the image size, trying to programmatically set the same value of the image size has no effect and nothing happens then.

    If this is what is happening, one way around this would be to call ProcessDrawEvents or ProcessSystemEvents immediately after the call to DisplayImageFile. Unless the control or Panel has been hidden way explicit, which will require the drawing action will take place at this time, and you should then be able to get the new size of control at any time after that.

  • I did my own art of header for the toolbar and the dimensions and size of the file are correct, but the image appears badly in the area. Why?

    I used photoshop to make my theme header with 3000 pixels wide and 200 from the top. In addition, the file is less than 300 KB. But after that I downloaded it, the picture in these dimensions is amplified. I do not get the image I had intended. Why is this? See picture attached example.

    The support module is here: https://discourse.mozilla-community.org/c/add-ons

    Looks like this monitor is like 1750 pixels wide, give or take.

    The width of the whole image will not be displayed unless you have a display of 3000 pixels wide, and it is " pinned with the upper right of the image. Only, as a large part of the width will be shown that there is the width to display the image.

  • BLOB, the Image dimensions

    Hello, I created a region of Apex report using report region model. The requirement is to display pictures on the report. The query below shows photos, but question corresponds to the dimensions of the image, the sides appear even as the size of the uploaded image. Is it possible to see all these photos in a standard size (example: width 70px). SELECT the dbms_lob.getlength photo (picture), picture_mime_type, picture_filename, picture_character_set, kid_no, picture_last_updated FROM g_kid ORDER BY kid_no DESC; Oracle Database 11 g Express Edition Release 11.2.0.2.0 - Production Application Express 4.2.2.00.11 thank you in advance, best regards, FM

    It is easy to do for declarative BLOB images in reports using CSS. Add a style sheet in CSS Inline property page:

    td[headers="PICTURE"] img {
      display: block;
      width: 40px;
      border: 1px solid #999;
      padding: 4px;
      background: #f6f6f6;
    }

    where the PICTURE value in the attribute selector corresponds to the alias column in the image column. Define only a single dimension (in this case the width) will scale the image with the correct proportions. (Background, padding and border properties are just eye candy...)

    However, if the original images are large then scaling the in the browser in this way is a huge waste of bandwidth and produces lower quality images than to create good scaled down versions using image tools. Image download megapixel and then to reduce them to the size of the thumbnail result in needlessly pushing millions of bytes which will never be seen.

    For better performance and image quality, and where you need specific image scaling of the best approach is to use the ORDImage database objectto produce thumbnail and preview automatically versions. Note that this is not possible in Oracle XE as multimedia is not included.

  • Adobe forgot to include the new algorithm to "Preserve the details" in Preferences > General > Interpolation of the Image?

    In Photoshop, CC 2014 If I open the dialog "Image size", using CTRL-I, I can choose the resampling algorithm to use as automatic and the new "preserve details' among others.

    But when I go to: Preferences > General > Interpolation of images

    The new algorithm to "Preserve the details" is not in the list.  Adobe forgot to include this?  How can I say CC Photoshop to use the new algorithm when you use tools such as cultures?

    It's more than a normal interpolation method - a filter, so it is really useful in the image size command.

  • Increase the physical dimensions of the image in high resolution?

    I have an image I want to use in a video, if it is not physically large enough to fill the dimensions of 1920 x 1080 video, she has a resolution of 300ppi and video needs only 72 dpi. How to take advantage of the fact that it's an image high definition and increase the physical dimensions of the image? Is there a way to do this?

    Thank you.

    If you are told that you should print at 4 inches by 6 inches at 300 dpi, follow these steps:

    • Choose Image - Image size.
    • Check the box resampling .
    • In the resolution box, type 300 .
    • Put 4 to 6 inches in the height and Width boxes (or vice versa if it's a bitmap portrait).

    You will find yourself with an image 1200 x 1800 pixels that will be printed at 4 by 6 inches, your goal of printing at 300 ppi.

    Printing will be probably not as sharp and detailed as if you had printed at 4 by 6 inches without downsampling at 300 ppi.

    You will do well to try to begin to understand how the images are expressed in pixels, and why the above is true, while in the future, you will know when the issue of the requirements.  This thread you might also like:
