Prevent deleting cookies while eliminating the rest

I don't know that it's just my fault for not noticing where it is. Is it possible to simply create a list of cookies/data 'safe' so that after browsing many sites I can just 'clear recent history', and do not have my deleted each time too sure cookies? The option exceptions does not, which makes it a bit useless.

You use clear history recent, then you delete all the cookies. Allow exceptions to keep the specific cookies don't work if you set the cookies expires if you close Firefox or delete unwanted cookies in the Cookie Manager.

  • clear cookies while keeping the usernames and passwords

    Firefox 21, if I clear cookies will be all my usernames and passwords are deleted? If so is there a way to prevent it? Terry

    If you disable cookies sites can't remember more and you need to connect once more.

    You will always have the passwords in the Profile Manager if you saved it.

    • Tools > Options > Security: passwords: "saved passwords" > "show passwords".

    Websites to remember you and automatically log you in are stored in a cookie.

    • Create a cookie exception allow to keep these cookies, especially for secure websites and when the cookies expire when Firefox is closed.
    • Tools > Options > privacy > Firefox will be: "Use the custom settings for history" > Cookies: Exceptions

    You can leave the cookies expire when you close Firefox. Then you continue with an exception allow cookies. If you disable the cookies manually then all specified cookies are deleted, including cookies with an exception to allow.

  • How to delete cookies from all the ' Do not Track ' placed in Firefox after I have uncheck "Do not Track" when they are all keep reappear after being deleted?

    I first checked 'Do not track' blindly that it would work. I am running FF 14.0.1. I do not accept 3rd party cookies. I demand to be informed whenever a cookie wants to access. Before that, I would normally check my cookie list to remove those that don't want to keep, after I closed the related tab. However, after checking the option, a multitude of cookies "do not follow" arose. They block my table. I spend too much time track the unwanted cookies. In addition, after unchecking the option, all those ' Do not track ' cookies remain unwanted. No mater what I do to remove them, even to excess 'Remove all Cookies', none of them stay deleted. Even if I have to 'Remove all Cookies' and immediately close FF, they ALL back when I restart FF again, even after the total shutdown of PC.

  • Eliminating the HTML but keep line breaks

    I'm hosting public users to submit the text of a field "description". However, I must reject HTML when it is displayed. I found the HTMLEditFormat() function that does this, but I lose line breaks and paragraph breaks.

    After the search this site for answers, I can't find a solution to keep the line breaks AND paragraph breaks while eliminating the HTML.

    I tried the below functions, but all have a problem. The closest one is NOT in <!-xyz-> comments. It removes HTML, preserves the new paragraphs but NOT line breaks. I can not find a solution that makes all three.

    <!-< PRE > < FONT FACE = "ARIAL" SIZE = "3" > #HTMLEditFormat (description) # < / PRE >->
    #ParagraphFormat (HTMLEditFormat (description)) #.
    <!-#Replace (description, "#chr (13) ##chr (10) # ',' < br >', 'all'") #->
    <!-#Replace (HTMLEditFormat (description), "#chr (13) ##chr (10) # ',' < br >', 'all'") #->
    <!-#REPLACE (ParagraphFormat (HTMLEditFormat (description)), "#chr (13) ##chr (10) # ',' < br > al l","" ") #->

    The use of < PRE > is the only one that preserves the jumps of line, but since users enter text in a text box that uses the line feed. The result pushes the long string of text in the table on the right side of the screen... .it can be enormous. So if I had a solution to force text < PRE > back to the line, I would be done.

    Thank you...-Tony

    OK, I found a solution: I have relaized I could save version (inset) HTML-stripped of the description in the database first. I did it using:

    <[^>]*>","","ALL")>

    Then when displaying, this simple replace preserves there line breaks AND new paragraphs:
    #Replace (description, "#chr (13) ##chr (10) #","")
    (', 'all') #.

    Hope this helps future forum watch-er to the-ERS. -Tony

  • No cookie name appear when I press the button 'Show Cookies', which would prevent me from manually delete cookies selectively.

    When I open the Cookies window by pressing the 'View the Cookies' button in Options | Privacy the secondary window displays no name cookie just a series of arrows as for different subdirectories. This has been so for several months, but I have changed no cookie setting and have the "accept Cookies from sites' and 'Accept third-party cookies' checkboxes are checked.
    This means that I can't manually control/delete cookies.

  • I would like to open my window cookies while being able to click on other items in the "options"?

    When I browse, I like to keep my 'cookies' window opens, so that when I finished my session, I can simply delete all new cookies that appeared at the bottom of the list. While below "youtube.com" is deleted, and I don't lose one of my saved cookies. However, in the latest version of firefox, I can't understand how to leave the window opens independently of the rest of the menu 'options' 'cookies '. In other words, if I am browsing and need to go to 'options' for a reason, as in 'security' or 'content' or one of the other options, the 'cookies' Panel disappears, and all these cookies I wanted to remove easily at the end of my session mingle alphabetically with the rest of them, which means I have to go through the entire list looking for cookies to be deleted. It's boring. This means that I must try to remember to remove all unwanted cookies, every time I have to use the menu options for a reason any. I much prefer how firefox has always dealt with this in the past and I don't really like how it handles this in the new version. Is it possible to change his behavior like her without having to return to a previous version of firefox?

    From topic: config [type in the address bar] can switch browser.preferences.inContent false, then restart Firefox.

  • Prevent Firefox to delete cookies?

    Hi guys,.
    I see a lot of answers and docs online on the deletion of cookies in Firefox, but how to prevent this? I could be wrong, but it seems that Firefox is the removal of things without my desire because all the site connections with a checkbox control to stay connected to always keep forcing connection on every visit after the closing and re-opening Firefox. I always thought that checkbox creates a cookie that should remain browser restarts, but it does not appear. Of course, I could very well be wrong. Please notify.

    Thank you
    Peter

    Make sure that you are not Firefox running in permanent private browsing mode (don't remember history).

    • Tools > Options > privacy > Firefox will be: "use the custom settings for history".
    • : Uncheck the [] "always use the private browsing mode.

    A detail as a website to remember you (automatically log you) is stored in a cookie.

    You can use these steps to make a Web site remember you:

    • Create a cookie "allow" exception to keep these cookies, especially in the case of secure websites and when the cookies expire when you close Firefox.
    • Tools > Options > privacy > "Use the custom settings for history" > Cookies: Exceptions

    In case you use 'Clear history of Firefox closing' or otherwise to clear the history.

    • do not delete Cookies
    • do not delete Site preferences

    Compensation of the "Site Preferences" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, installation of software, passwords, and other specific data from Web site.

    Deletion of cookies will delete all specified (selected) cookies, including cookies with an exception allowing you want to keep.

    If the deletion of cookies did not help, then it is possible that the cookies.sqlite file that stores the cookies has been corrupted.

    • Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and if present remove cookies.sqlite - shm and wal - cookies.sqlite in the profile folder of Firefox in the case where the cookies.sqlite file has been corrupted.

    You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder currently in use:
