I am installing a French (antidote) spelling checker and the message I get is: the system administrator policies preventing the installation of this software. I am the only person who uses this computer and I need to change the settings to control my computer.

    Hi Michel,.

    1. you are trying to install the French spelling checker software first?

If you had already installed the software in the past, then we recommend to uninstall the components available in the software and then try to install the software. To do this, try the following steps:

    Step 1: Removing software
see How to change or remove a program in Windows XP .
    b. Once you have deleted the software, restart the computer.

    Step 2: Install the software
    a. right click on the file to install software, click Run as.
    b. Select administrator, and then click ok to continue the installation.
    c. Once you have installed the software, restart the computer.

  • Automatic updates has attempted to install KB963707 repeatedly, preventing the installation of SP1.

Laptop with Vista Home Premium 32-bit tries to install KB963707 again and again and more, preventing the installation of SP1. Although SP1 is completely and correctly installed, it states that it has not installed and back.

Have you tried disabling the automatic updates, and then install service packs?
A practice that I had in XP when the reinstallation of the operating system was to disable the automatic updates, wait until I had installed all service packs, then turn it back on.

    To disable automatic updates
    GoTo Start-> Control Panel
    Click on "Classic view".
Click on "windows update", which is usually towards the end
    Click on "change settings".

under "major updates" choose one of the last two options. Is the "check for updates but let me choose whether to install" or "never check the updates. It does not matter because we will change things back that upgrading to SP2.

  • Problems with the installation of program and the Administrator role

I have a new operating system in 9 years (XP user) and finally bought a new computer with Vista and I'm totally lost. User and Administrator profiles seemed like a good idea, but they are inconvenient for me and significantly. I was lucky good installation of some programs of the administrator account, such as the office, and they work very well with other standard users. HOWEVER, many programs do not work, and although they appear on the desktop for each user, when I try to open them, they want to go through the installation. Makes no sense.

I wish I'd stayed with XP at this point.

My update is that I gave up. I don't have the time and energy to devote to their dleaing with Windows 7. If I could have just installed Outlook and it was operated as Outlook Express identities requiring passwords to open an Inbox, everything would be great. But having a single account opens an Outlook Inbox before requesting a password so that any user can come and see the Inbox of Outlook fins without password user. The password is only seems to allow the Inbox send and receive new mail since the last connection. Frankly, Windows has become extremely bossy and was intended to do what Microsoft thinks is best, not that users don't. I hate it. I hate the new version of Office as well. I hate users. Basically, it's the worst purchase I have made. If I could have picked up this machine and bought a new iMac I would have but I got more than 14 days before the full extent of its clunkiness.

I have a new machine, I want to throw because the operating system responds to my needs are simple... which are a program of easy mail to several users, some different software work-related (I deleted the office suite, I bought and reinstall my copy of Microsoft Office 2000 that is how the current exercise sucks) and for music management and use. In fact, the uses of music and electronic mail are the major uses of family and there where Windows sucks the most. The 'user' approach is required by Windows but iTunes does not work like that, nor it works easy to operate with multiple users.

So that's the update. Bottomline, I have this thing on Craigslist to sell and, hopefully, by a Mac. I should never have left Mac 8 years and I never should have bought a Windows machine last month.

  • Regarding the installation of programs... I have to log on as a system administrator

I have a question after a problem to be able to install programs (JavaScript, Adobe Reader) on my laptop. I keep getting an error message that I need to log in as system administrator to allow these installs. What can I do?

    Hello

What operating system you are using? Is that your system is connected to the domain? Also try to create the folder in the program files folder & Windows.

You are facing the issue due to insufficient user rights to delete the entries of the special program in related folders & registry.

Follow the procedure indicated by Walter. If persists, then you need to log in with the administrator account & then you must try the installation again.

  • How to prevent the installation of software and IE extensions / toolbars, etc.

I try to help a small business at home with a Windows 7 PC with IE 9. The PC is used for normal business purposes: Microsoft Office documents, e-mail (AOL app), video editing and burn them on DVD or download YouTube and Vimeo, and research in Internet Explorer for commercial use normal and legitimate

    My questions are (explained later):

All the PCs here have parental control of Microsoft and Microsoft Security Essentials installed. None of the PC should be able to be used for something ELSE (not only internet) between midnight and 08:00.
    1. How can I get Internet Explorer 9 on Windows 7 automatically restore the State by default when it is closed? As if it were a PC in an internet café, library or school? This allows to avoid the (intentional or accidental) installation of toolbars, extensions, etc. in IE 9, if possible, I'd like to keep Google as the default search provider and homepage; In addition, the extensions 'regular' such as Flash Player, Real Player and Acrobat Reader must remain in place and JavaScript should work.
    2. the son managed to resume using his own PC (and perhaps the PC business) at limited hours. I guess he got Windows 7 SysInternals disk to remove the administrative password. Is there a way I can stop that then reapply restrictions? Maybe he simply restored the system from the recovery partition or reinstalled Windows, so I need a way to prevent these things from happening as well. A firmware password would do the trick?

This probably wouldn't have happened if there was a way to allow installation of the software on a Standard account. On the own PC of the son, it's okay if it installs the software, browser toolbars and so on--even if it is malware. It is only the PC that should be free of this professional. It is also possible that it has installed this junk on the Professional PC as a form of punishment.
It is not possible to force users to use Firefox or Chrome instead of IE. And IE suffered from some bad extensions that were installed in Chrome.
    Explanation:
The owner of the company adult son uses this PC occasionally working for the company, but mostly for its own use. The son, who can be a little mentally ill and lives with his father in the House where the business is, continued installation providers extensions, toolbars and search for malware, unwanted, unsafe in Internet Explorer and change the homepage. Office workers may have also unintentionally installed some malicious software search engines.
Occasionally, the son works for the company, so must have the PC of the company. However, he often uses the PC for its own purposes, which includes things like trying to download protected content (movies, television and music) without having to pay for it. It seems that he sometimes spend time free looking for games. (Before I put on the parental control, it had installed several of them. There still frequently installed toolbars, extensions and search providers in Internet Explorer to facilitate this [protected media download] and [probably] some of them gets simply by visiting the types of malicious websites that claim to offer free stuff. The son has four pieces of his own, which are almost unusable due to multiple malware infections.
Owner of the company I was install the parental control on the PC of the son in addition to the PC business to prevent the use of any computer between midnight and 08:00 when the son is supposed to sleep or study and not play games or use the computer for something ELSE. According to the owner of the company, the son psychiatrist said that the son must sleep during those hours every day.
Currently, it is not possible for me to question the son - it is of course very unhappy about not being able to install software on PCs own hie. Not that I was all happy that all this, but he isn't one to pay me.
Sorry, this has been so long. The situation is a little stressful.

A knowledgeable user can bypass/get around any account login admin password, by using any method found in a search on the internet.

You can try to set up separate for normal use restricted user accounts.

You can also configure another admin account, with the reset/recovery disk of password for your own use. (In which case a user causes problems in their attempt to circumvent restrictions)

Assuming that PCs are networked / connected via a routor, a decent has the ability to restrict the sites accessible both to prevent net access between certain hours, on a per PC basis.

There is software of third parties, such as used on some PCs consulted by the public in the scenario you mentioned, although how it would affect normal business type useage I could say.

Certain third-party Internet security applications also have the ability to restrict access/use their own parental controls

  • Unable to remove/change WINDOWS $. ~ BT preventing the installation of Windows 7.

I was installing Windows 7, and, after several attempts, where he met an error 0 x 080070570, I deleted the three folders in the C: drive starting by ' $', as shown in http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7install/thread/2ebae9fe-e99b-40db-8fde-a14d6eea69f7/?prof=required&wa=wsignin1.0

This time, he got up to 20% on the stage of 'Collection programs' installation, when the installation stops suddenly. An error message appears, saying that "Module of Installation Windows", or something to that extent, has encountered an error and stopped. I tried to restart the installation, but the installer of Windows 7 said that it could not crush the $WINDOWS. ~ BT file. It was one of the files that I had previously deleted. I tried to remove it, but I denied permission. I'm on an administrator account running Windows Vista SP1. Now, the installation does not start even upward. What can I do?

    Hello Dudboy,

You will need to take ownership of the file.  This section here give a few steps that you can use to try to take ownership of the file in question to proceed with the upgrade.

  • Error message prevents the installation of Flash Player 11.1.102.62

    I have a Dell Studio 1737 laptop with: Windows 7 64-bit, Intel Core 2 Duo P8400 2.26 GHz 2.27 Ghz, RAM 4. 0 g.

Try to install the latest version of Flash Player. The download is smooth. When the installation reaches 50%-51% a message pops up saying: "the Flash Player Settings Manager is currently open. Close the Flash Player Settings Manager and try again. "The only Flash Player Settings Manager I found is an icon in the Panel as"lash 32-bit player. Receive click on this icon, the Settings Manager opens. However there no provision for "closing" except the 'X' in the red box in the upper right corner of the window to the Settings Manager.

I used Adobe uninstaller and uninstalled Flash Player. Then tried to download and install again with exactly the same results, as explained above. I tried many, many times with the same result.

The users forum has a post about this problem for Flash Player v 10.3, it says to go to C:\windows\system 32 find FlashPlayerCPLAPP.cpl, then delete it and try the install again. I looked in C:\windows/system32 and the specified file is not there, needless to say, I can't delete it.

I have also looked for Shockwave in the list manage modules and it isn't here.

Bottom line: I don't have any version of Flash Player installed on my laptop and am not able to install the program.

Any ideas? Thank you very much in advance for any help!

How to do a clean install of the Flash Player?

  • Expiry of the Trial Version of CS4 prevents the installation from CD

    Hi all

    Once more into the breech.

I tried for several months to get my Creative Suite 4 is installed on Windows 7 64 bit.

I have the full CS3 and a CS4 upgrade disks.

    At the beginning:

When Windows 7 is installed on the old XP 32-bit it now erases everything and puts it into a Windows.old directory.

Everything needs to be reinstalled from scratch. My drives were 20 miles away in my office.

I tried to download a new version of CS4 and install it like that rather than go through CS3 and CS4 updates hoping my license would be working with her.

(I know... bad move...) I pay for it)

It works for AutoCad, 3DSMax, Matlab, Zemax... all programs that are too expensive or even more than Adobe.

but now I can't go past the Trial Version has expired. It expired a long time ago.

No matter how clean my system and try to install from my own original disks with valid serial numbers serial number CS4 is not accepted.

It is accepted at the time of the original installation, but on first use, the serial number is declared void.

Apparently he asked the serial number of the Trial Version that I have not bought.

This serial number must be buried deep in the registry.

Support of Adobe has tried for months to help him... but they don't speak of the problem of the Trial Version.

I was in India and they have offered to sit on the phone for four hours it is necessary to do a reinstall.

They are always polite... they admit that my serial numbers are valid... they have just the answers that work.

This must close of software piracy... reinstall trial again and again.

I deleted the directory PCB. I've used CleanSweep. I reinstalled the software of my own time to record three or four now.

I did everything but reformat my hard drive and reinstall Windows 7 from scratch.

CS3 works fine... I can go forward with the CS3 version just... but I love CS4 on this machine.

    So... any ideas.

Installs a just temporary death of the evaluation of a valid installation of CS4 Version later?

You people made a great work on a use of Illustrator problem I had earlier.

It is a real test for you.

    Thank you

Is there information in legitimate ether precisely where this trial Version information?

I am not afraid. Those who know (who even at Adobe are only people actually build the installation program) certainly have signed an additional addendum to their contract of employment and get extra money to not disclose these information anywhere but Adobe secret meeting room in basement B. You can monitor the registry and disk access using Sysinternals quick example, but even that doesn't reveal a hidden system keys. Would not resolve the issue, in any case. Activation is stored in the PCD and directory which is linked to a cryptographic fingerprint that is stored in areas hidden from your drive. Unfortunately, you really need to nuke this ugly thing, the most rudimentary level of sector by sector...

  • Windows 10 forces himself to stop the installation of programs?

Hi, my friend (the problems) has an iMac to 4K of 2014, and we have recently installed Windows 10 on it.  After installation, we tried to install Skype, Windows automatically restarts and when it starts up it says that you need to repair your system.  Fact that we tried to open the Skype installer, and it still crashed. Help, please!

    Thanks in advance

Have you created a Windows system restore point before the installation of Skype?

  • Family Safety prevents the installation of the desktop app from SkyDrive

I try to install the SkyDrive desktop application, to synchronize the files of my daughter to SkyDrive. His account is a child account on Windows 8 and therefore subject to parental control restrictions. When I log on her account and try to install the SkyDrive soft I usually 'blocked by Family Safety' pop-up, followed by an error from the installer to SkyDrive, SkyDrive could not be installed and the error code is 0x800704c7. I clicked on the 'blocked by Family Safety' pop up more than once and expressed my permission to use the application by typing my password, but nothing helped. The same thing happens again.

Does anyone have an idea on what could be going on here?

    Hi, I did as requested.

I should mention that there is a possible workaround for this problem solution, i.e.
    1. Disable security for the family
    2. Install SkyDrive
    3. Enable security for the family
    4. Give permission to use SkyDrive, when he complains
I just performed these steps and SkyDrive seems to work very well.

  • prevent the installation of the software on Windows 7 Professional if an administrator

Due to some software that everyone runs, everyone should be an administrator on their Windows 7 PC. Listeners want me to prevent users from being able to stable software on their PC. Since they are directors, I don't know how to do this? Is there a way?

There is only one category of administrators on Windows 7. There is no Super-Administrator. If there is a way to prevent administrators to install software, how would never lift you this ban once implemented unless you had a super-admin? In other words, you cannot prevent the admins to install software. You need to consider the requirements for other software. It's probably an application that is not compatible Windows 7.
