Prevention of Lightroom 'copy' when I want to 'Add '.

I use a tablet of Surface 3 and it is not practical import in drive c due to lack of space. My intention was to go back to a large USB then check and delete from there.  I'm travelling and photos copied to a usb 128 gb but lightroom will not 'Add' so basically I can't use Lightroom to review and remove. I don't use CC because one, I don't have access to the internet and b files are too big being RAW. The library seems to actually make unusable Lightroom, HELP

You cannot use a USB (stick) flash drive for storing images in Lightroom.

You must use an external USB hard drive.

You can try this utility to spend little removable of your player, maybe this will help (Flip your Bit USB utility to drive Local |) Powered by USB, Gadgets and more.. ).
