  Hey all, I recently had this problem with my Adobe after effects (Version 13.2.0.49) CC. I had this on my previous version and after the update to the latest version of the software, I always get the 'After Effects error: Preview RAM needs 2 or more images for playback' each time I try preview RAM. I also have completely uninstalled and reinstalled AE and attempted to purge the of memory, but I still don't have the same error.

  
  

  Another question (not sure whether or not it is related to the error of RAM Preview?), is that when I press the play button, the green bar that is usually created at the playhead appears for 1 frame, then goes immediately after the playhead moves to the next frame.

  If it is the RAM that was mentioned before that happens in CC 2014 when the timeline with audio scrubbing, the solution is in an update which is coming up in a month or two. Personally, I want to release him only when they are ready for the update causes more bugs.

  In the meantime, you can work in CC instead of 2014 CC make any audio rub you need to do. (You can save as CC, if you need to get a project 2014 CC to be compatible with the previous version).   This problem started from nowhere for what I consider to be without reason. Average size of the compositions of 720 p with modest animations working.

  I tried all the proposed solutions on this forum, but nothing has worked. I'm under cool comps in AE CC with absolutely no plugins, freshly purged memory, clean the cache, rebooted comp, no other applications running on the computer and 13 GB of memory allocated to the AE... etc.

  I can't solve this problem.

  What is the next step?

  I get this error even if I have a MAC PRO 12 - hearts to 64 GB of RAM

  running: Yosemite OSX version 10.10.3

  I have purged all of the memory and cache of Dick

  restart and shut down the computer

  Too, I had this problem but also the other memory related.

  Recently, he got so bad, that I had to stop AE CC2015.

  This isn't a solution, but I reinstalled CC2014 and have worked in this free from error. In my opinion CC2015 should not released summer because it seems a springboard to a more complete version of AE.

  I just bought CC and started using After Effects to add text to a Premiere Pro project that I completed last night. I get the above error when I try to preview by pressing the space bar.

  I tried to import the project. I tried exporting the project as media and import that. I tried to use Import in the menu bar, drag / drop... I tried different formats, tried different media, no of files. I'm running a Mac Pro (quad core, 12 GB RAM) 2015, which I suppose is quite powerful. I'm not under any other software at the same time and tried to restart, reset the cache, etc.

  Searched and there are so many threads and no answers. I'll have to give up on After Effects, or I do something wrong?

  I experienced all of these problems. The only solution is to units of my operating system and install night of striped and as a filmmaker doing all the 6 months is unacceptable. It's a waste of my time and my money. Get Adobe together!

  So I know it is the subject of news at the moment and maybe this has already been answered, but to be honest, I don't have time to go searching for the answer!

  
  

  Basically, I can't work on the same project, the same version of AE on different machines. Its a little ridiculous!

  AE works very well on this machine:

  iMac 27' end 2012

  Intel Core i7 3.4 GHz

  16 GB of ram

  NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1024 MB 675MX

  Merger of 3 TB drive

  AE is unusable on this machine: (terrible ram preview, frame rate, audio crackles and breaks autour shifts)

  IMac 27' end 2014 retina

  4 GHz Intel Core i7

  32 GB of ram

  AMD Radeon R9 M290X 2048 MB

  250 GB SSD

  At present, using the retina when machine, put Im cached my project on the local SSD instead of using an external. Maybe AE doesn't like it? Perhaps 250 GB is not big enough to keep him happy? Or theres a conflict with graphics card? These are the only things I can think of. Any advice/insight would be much appreciated.

  It's probably the AMD card and configuration. For example, on my old Mac Pro or even on my Mac Mini, if I add the render tail to the bottom of the timeline and its size down so that it has almost completely disappeared I get previews ram perfect even with 4 K images. I can't do anything to my MacBook Pro with Nvidia card. See how to make Cue down at the bottom?

  You can try to open the picture in paint and adjust the print settings and change the orientation from there.
