    Hi sgodwin2468,

Make sure that Acrobat Reader DC is updated Release Notes | Adobe Acrobat, Reader.

If the problem persists, try the solution below.

The default "save under" Acrobat/Reader DC dialog box is different from the dialogue box you had in earlier versions of Acrobat/Reader, it also allows you to record in the clouds and previous locations that you saved the files. It is possible that when Acrobat/Reader tries to connect to the 'cloud', it runs into problems. You can try to disable this feature to see if this brings your backup in the back of the box: open Acrobat Preferences, then go to the "General" category and uncheck "show the online storage when you save files:

    Hi claytonw71269328 and Rosinn.

I want to give you an update on the problem you reported in this forum thread.

Some iOS with capabilities overview PDF applications have problems displaying text annotations correctly.

The following applications can display text annotations in the original and correct positions.

    • Acrobat Reader for iPhone and iPad
    • Dropbox (for iPhone and iPad)
    • Acrobat Reader DC (for Windows or Mac)
    • Overview of Apple (for Mac)

However, Apple Mail, iBooks and other iOS applications of third parties who use iOS Apple SDK show text annotations in deformities due to a bug in Apple .

    • Mail (for iPhone and iPad)
    • iBooks (for iPhone and iPad)
    • Google Reader (for iPhone and iPad)
    • Gmail (for iPhone and iPad)
    • Microsoft OneDrive (for iPhone and iPad)

Here are the screenshots of a PDF document (not an interactive PDF form) with text annotations in various iOS apps on an iPad iOS 9.3.1 running.

One solution is to open a PDF document with text annotations in Acrobat Reader (desktop and mobile applications).

    I hope this helps.

  • Adobe Reader blocked since I bought InDesign

After a free trial period of CS6, I bought InDesign on a monthly subscription basis. Since the end of my trial period, Adobe Reader is now blocked, even though I have access to InDesign.

Whenever I try to open a simple pdf file, I get a message that I can't open because my trial period is over.

    Can anyone help?

    Thank you

Adobe Reader is free software and is not a trial period.  Have you installed a trial of Acrobat anytime?  If so, uninstall Acrobat.  If this is not the case, check what is the default program to open PDF files.

  • Adobe Reader DC issue of customization

    Hello

I recently deployed Adobe Reader DC in my environment of the company to about 1200 + users. We have about 400 users in this environment Adobe Standard XI, X or Adobe Professional X or XI.

After deploying Adobe Reader DC it now takes on the default file association to open PDF files which is unhappy with the Adobe Acrobat (Standard and Pro users).

Of course to work around the problem we manually value return their product Adobe Acrobat file association.

My question relates to customize Adobe Reader DC package to disable PDF as default if earlier versions of Standard or Pro are found on the computer.

In any case, after reading the document Customization Wizard it says that the following property on the command line should solve this problem... LEAVE_PDFOWNERSHIP = YES

I tried to add this property but it does not have a difference, is there anything else I need to change?

Just to confirm, I am Deploying Adobe Reader DC as a transformation that has been created in the DC Customization Wizard.

    Thank you.

I don't know what version is: 15.007. Please try the following steps:

    (1) on a Windows 7 machine, which has XI Acrobat installed, copy "AcroRdrDC1501720050_en_US.exe" from: ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/AcrobatDC/1501720050/

    (2) open an admin command prompt and run the following command:

    AcroRdrDC1501720050_en_US.exe /msi LEAVE_PDFOWNERSHIP = YES/QB

    (3) let me know if Acrobat XI is selected as default or CD player becomes the default.

  • Printing problems when using Adobe Reader

I am now unable to print to one of my printers from my desktop when you use Adobe Reader (version 11.0.01).  All print and scan functions work with all other software

    Running Winows 8

Printer 1 is: MFC-7360N with network connection

Printer 2 is: MFC-6490CW with a Wi - Fi connection

I have reinstalled drivers etc. for all printers and Adobe. I tried printing an image and all I ever get is a message in a pop up saying window, the document could not be printed, then a second window doesn't pop up saying that no pages were selected to print. I get the message even if I try to print the entire file, a selection of custom pages or just the current page.

I can save the same files on another computer and print from them, but this is getting a little ridiculous.

Any suggestions would be helpful at this stage

Now, whenever I try to print any PDF file (old or new, including files I printed before), I have his message: "the document could not be printed", followed by "it has not chosen to print pages". This last statement is always false. I should add that I have no problems printing from other programs.

Today, I uninstalled Adobe Reader 11.0.08 and downloaded the program again. No difference when I tried to print.

What can I do to restore the print function?

  • Anyone can help solve this frustrating bug in Adobe Reader 8 drop-down list?

Has anyone met the bottom of drop in their PDF form that do not work in Adobe Reader 8?

A simple example is my form (stripped back) here:

    http://www.wikski.com/misc/test.PDF

I built a form with 22 sections in this document, some 1800 of code lines, and now every drop down has decided to not work in Adobe Reader 8.

The behavior is when you select a drop down, it immediately turns off itself and you cannot use the item at all.

I've had this happen and by simply removing the element in LiveCycle ES2 of Designers (which is what I used to create the entire form) and recreate exactly the same thing; seemed to remedy. However, so far I passed the point of being able to recreate each drop of this time, I need to know actually what is the cause of the bug.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    See you soon,.

I don't know why you need the xfa.layout.relayout (); in your calls in your enter events (at least in the set_focus function).

    Seems to work without it.

I had more problems with Reader 8.0 than any other version.

  • How can I make Adobe Reader 9 open to incoming PDFs instead of Acrobat 5.0?

How can I make Adobe Reader 9 open to incoming PDFs instead of Acrobat 5.0?

    Hello

Assuming you have Reader 9.3.4 already installed on your machine, you can try the following to make demand opening of default PDF Reader 9.3.4:

    1. right click on any PDF on your system, and then click the option 'Open with' from the context menu that appears. In case you get another submenu, click on program selected in this menu. (Where you don't see 'Open with' option, then hold down the SHIFT key and right-click on the file)

    2. click on the Browse button in the dialog box that appears, select Reader 9. Make sure you check the box "always use the selected program to open this type of file"

    3. click on OK.

This will make Adobe Reader 9 as the default viewer for all PDF files on your system.

  • Windows 7 64-bit Adobe Reader 9.3 and IE8 - opening PDF in the tab and then says closing tab causes IE8

I've been running Win7 64 bit for quite awhile now and only up to what a few weeksa go started having problems with Adobe Reader continues to ask me how I wanted to read a document and click here to save the settings, and don't ask me again.  The box has never worked and it will continue to ask me questions constantly everytime I open a new PDF file.

I finally understood how to get rid of the nagging dialog box but now everytime I open a new tab with a PDF file in it and then close the tab, IE8 crashes and tries to pick up the tab.  It's never happened before.

What is the cause and how to fix this?  Please notify.

Upgrade to 9.3 this morning and the problem remains.  Tried to uninstall all traces of Adobe Reader and reinstall but still no dice.

Problem happens also to home on a similar computer running Win 7 64 bit and use an earlier version of Acrobat and Adobe Reader.

    Try this:

Right-click on the IE8 icon in the taskbar. A menu pop ups upward. Right click again on 'Internet Explorer'. Then left click on "Run as Administrator". I had another problem with the drive and this has solved the problem. The problem I had was that I couldn't save PDFs in IE8. This solves this problem.
