Print digitally signed document

Hello

We are looking to implement a solution for signing PDF documents using Adobe Standard or professional. The goal of the project is to reduce paper consumption, but we still need to print some documents.

Is it possible to print the State next to the signature of the document? I want to print information if the document is not changed and that the signature is verified, if the signature is OK, but the document is changed, etc. (these signs green, yellow and red).

Thank you

Hello

The short answer is no.

The status of the signature applies only to the electronic version of the file. Once the file has been printed, we have no way to test if the content on the printed page is the same content that has been signed, so remove us the addition of the status of the signature to the printed output.

  • I can't sign a digitally signed document

I received a document that has been digitally signed. I need to apply my signature for countersigning the contract. When I click on "Fill and sign" on the right, I don't see my normal options to paste in my signature. Is there a way to countersign a document like this? Or am I stuck printing off the coast and sign manually. I saved these PDF files to Word format before, only to convert to PDF. There must be a way to get there, but I'm too much of a novice in Adobe. I looked for a solution but came to nothing.

I appreciate any advice or help anyone can offer, thank you.

    Hi Brad Qualls,

Could you please let us know the adobe application you are using, and the version of the OS on your system?

To digitally sign a document, you must select the option of certificates of tools.

You can access the Tools pane and type "Certificates" in the search box. And then the option 'digital sign.

Please refer to this article: digital in Acrobat DC ID - based signatures, Adobe Acrobat DC certificates

Let us know if that helps.

  • Is there a way to identify digitally signed documents of a complete file of documents

    Hi all

I have a complete record of the documents that I had to digitally sign, but I'm afraid that I might have missed a few of them, including at - there no way to identify the documents that are not digitally signed?

Any help on this is much appreciated.

You can write a JavaScript that would do this. You will create a JavaScript script at the level of the Document in a 'special' PDF file you create also (can be a blank page). If no, when you open this 'special' PDF this JavaScript could loop through all of the PDF files in a folder, open each one, check if an open PDF file has a signed signature field and log the name of the PDF file. You will need to know the programming JavaScript, Acrobat JavaScript API (Google for References and tutorials) and knowledge of the PDF files for this structure.

  • In trouble!  Unable to save my digitally signed document.

    Hello

I asked this question before but I did not get a solution.

I need to sign documents, save them, and then send by e-mail. I wasn't able to do my job for two days and I'm very worried.

I'm on windows 10 and I have installed Adobe Reader DC.

I activate this function without problem with the latest version of Adobe.

Please someone help me. Seriously, I could lose my job and I have exhausted all my options in terms of trying to get a solution.

    Thank you very much.

    Hello

Please check if the PDF file is drive extended or not, otherwise, you will need to get the extended PDF file reader using the Acrobat application to activate the extended rights so that you are able to save the signed PDF.

Let me know if its useful.

    Kind regards

I need to digitally sign documents. When I sign in my pc all the signatures appear as VALID. Then, I send them by e-mail, but when they open these documents, they are presented with signatures STRANGERS. It seems that they are only valid in my pc.

  • Impossible to sign documents under Linux Reader 9.5.1

I am unable to digitally sign documents with Acrobat acroread v. 9.5.1 free Linux player. I created a digital ID and checked 'Use for the signature' under 'usage Options. The ID is valid until 2017. When I use "Document: sign: sign the Document ' or ' signing of Document: sign: Place", nothing happens when I click inside the document - the cursor does not change, and I can't define a place to put my signature. What I am doing wrong?

In addition, documents can be configured to automatically lock after signing...

Check the properties of the document, security.

  • Is it possible to automatically include page # and a document # with each digital sign?

I wonder if this is possible. I wasn't able to do it myself.

    Thank you!!

A digital signature is not like a signature on a piece of a document. Think of it more than the entire document being wrapped and sealed in an envelope. The signature is on the envelope and to detect tampering. In other words, that it is impossible to add a page to a signed document without needing a new signature.

The problem is trying to move from paper to digital signatures. They aren'; t the same sort of thing. Certainly if someone digitally sign a document without reading ALL of this. The signature isn't on a page, and indeed, it is essential to train your users NEVER to check the page to see if a document is signed. They should check the view of the signature, as a stamp on a page could be rigged in a few seconds.

However, as an aid to transition or where the signature may be unverifiable (for example if it is printed), you can do what you want by stamping pages and then only add a digital signature.

  • Make a printed digital signature disappear if the document changed

We have created a document and digitally signed.  We then modified the document.  When the document is displayed on the screen the shows signature as invalid.

When the document is printed, however, the signature is the same.

Is there a way of showing the status of the signature (valid / invalid), or what in fact disappear in a printed document?

Note, I have noticed a similar question here, but the response was a link that no longer works.

    Thanks for your help.

Here's a good tutorial to add a custom menu item: http://acrobatusers.com/tutorials/2006/add_custom_menu_items

The script that you create in the folder level JavaScript using the method doc.addScript (http://livedocs.adobe.com/acrobat_sdk/9.1/Acrobat9_1_HTMLHelp/JS_API_AcroJS.88.440.html) to add the script to the level of the document for the document. So start writing the scenario at the level of the document that defines the signature does not print if it is not valid. Once you have this work you can use it with the script to the folder level that adds the menu item.

If you're stuck with code, post again and include your script.

  • Digitally sign is gray in CD player unless the document has been saved with Reader Extended PDF - option activate more tools in Acrobat. Is the feature to sign without options Reader Extended broken or has it been removed?

If we just save a PDF document, users with CD Player cannot sign because the option "digitally sign" in the upper part of the certificates bar is grayed out. According to other information that I read, the ability to sign with earlier versions of the player requires the PDF file to be registered as a Reader Extended PDF with the option enable the tools more. If I save the document in this way, our DC users can sign it. We took the latest version (2015.008.20082). This feature - the ability to fill/sign a regular document (no Reader Extended PDF) - has been removed in later versions, or is it a bug that was not shown or even fixed?

You can use fill & sign on documents without the form fields.
