Print reliably on card A4 (160gsm)

What can recommend as a printer low cost (ideally an all-in-one) which allows to print reliably on A4 size 160gsm card with alignment reasonably well and is available to the United Kingdom?  We have only around 50-100 prints per month.

I ask because I purchased a 4500 DESIRE and realize now I misunderstood the specification. It will not print on A4 card (only more little clue) so I do not trust myself to choose another and be wrong once again!

6830 OfficeJet Pro seems to be a possibility, or maybe the 4632 JO?

Hi Sparky3

Welcome to the HP's Support Forum!

Both printers you mentioned must be able to handle a 160 g/ms.
Here is a link to compare the two side by side.

You will find the paper recommended in technical details.

You may also be interested to check instant ink if you haven't done so already.

"I have a special form that I need to print for our not-for-profit organization. It's a membership card. "I get the map in PDF format and print is that the paper is 8 x 10, but it is printed on a 'card', is the size 8.5X4 5/8, can I get the printer to print on the card that is not the size of the paper in the PDF file.

Hi, the 4630 cannot create a custom paper size.

You can try using a spare printer driver that will allow you to create the custom paper size you need.

    1. click on the start menu.
    2 click devices and printers.
    3. right click on your printer.
    4. Select printer properties.
    5. click on the Advanced tab.
    6. click on new driver.
    7. click on next.
    8. Select HP in the first list
    9. Select Deskjet 450 in the second.
If the 450 driver is not there, use the Deskjet 990c printer driver.
    10. click Next.
    11. click on finish.
    12. click on apply.
    13. click OK to close the window.

  • I am trying to print a credit card statement, get cut.

I am trying to print a credit card statement, but when I click on the icon to print, I get a gray rectangle dark on the top and the bottom of the overview page. When I printed the page, the top of the page and the six lines of the actual declaration get cut. This has never happened before, and I don't have this problem with Internet Explorer. Can someone please?

    Hi cielos9886138 ,

    I apologize for the inconvenience.

Assuming that you have Acrobat installed on your computer, try following the steps:

1 - Launch Acrobat > open the document > then click Print > select the option made under design & management of the Page and then click on print.

Step 2 - If 1 does not work, try disabling protected mode, launch Acrobat > click Edit > then click on Preferences > under categories, click on (enhanced) protection > under the Protections of Sandbox, select Disable next to protected mode and then click OK.

Plug-Ins? They may be out there!

Ideally, Photoshop is the best answer.

But if you can save the PNG files with transparency you can easily design your own designs 'simple '.

Design any style 'Overlay' with transparency (Roses in my video screen), this applies to any print in the print as a graphical identity plate module.

  • How can I print a greeting card 5 x 7 to InDesign?

I tried to print a greeting card 5 x 7 from InDesign. I built the card in InDesign with a landscape orientation and a half inch (6 pica) margin all round with photo centred on the right side. When I print the photo is reduced by 25%, then placed directly against the upper left of the map with the center of the image about half an inch to the left of the crease in the card. I am aware that the InDesign printing algorithm generally is malfunctioning, or not at all and had this problem for many years. My solution has always convert InDesign from Acrobat print however, in this case, I get the same result. Given that 5 x 7 card stock white is sold by Amazon, Staples and others that there must be a market for them, and if there is someone must have figured how to print a card on them. Someone over there had no success with this?

These are the settings I used to try to reproduce the problem on my printer and it printed fine - exactly as it was supposed to. Your printer dialog box may look a little different, but it should have similar parameters like my screenshot below.

If your printer is not yet print correctly after matching with these settings, try to draw a rectangle of the same size as page 5 x 7 and then print again. Let us know if these suggestions solve the problem.

  • i AM TRYING to PRINT MY OWN CARDS BY SCANNING PREVIOUSLY PROVIDED MAPS that HAVE INFORMATION on the TWO SIDES OF CARD

One side of the map has details name and the coordinates of the other side has a start card

Scan on each side, then save it in a separate file.  Download the paper business card.  Open the scanned images in a program that can read and print files (such as Microsoft Word or if you don't have that, try to download the free OpenOffice atwww.openoffice.org and you have use Writer).  Select the appropriate model for business cards.  Copy the image to the image of the screen of the model of card - making sure to add a copy of the image at each of the locations on the model of card.  Print it.  Then determine how the printer prints (which side must be in direction of printing that you want - and insert copies printed in the wastebasket as required - run a few tests with normal paper first so that you get the correct positioning).  Now select the other image and which print on the back of the copies which have only the first printed side.  Your cards are now printed.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • I want to print on index cards, 3 x 5, but the card will not pass through HP4350. What printer will do it?

I tried on our HP 4350, but the rest of the card in the printer and I get a warning from paper jame. We also have a number of other models of HP laserjet here at school. Is there a model that can handle the print on 3 X 5 cards?

    MRHerron,

The LaserJet 4350 can handle 3 x 5 cards, and I refer you to the Manual:

  • HP psc 1315v printer, paper business card 28371 Avery will not print/jump

Ampad brand paper business card works fine, but the paper business card 28371 Avery and 28878 will not work.  It starts to print then stops with a paper jam error.  Have attempted to assign different types of paper, brochere, brilliant, etc. nothing works.  Other users have had problems with the branded paper Avery?

WordPad blurs my document, not worth the time to fix it in Wordpad in the hope that it can print.

Followed your instructions for the Photosmart C310a driver.  Did not work.

I think I'll just do the trick for the Ampad paper inkjet card brand that works without problem.  Avery is not worth the hassle.

  • Create and print a file card

I am running Windows 7, but through the AutoSave (and inattention) I left my files become disorganized and messy with a lot of overlap.  I need to be able to print a map of all the files, so that I can re - organize and be sure not to delete something that is not duplicated.  Can someone give me sense?  Thank you.

    SM

Card?  You can print a list of all the files on the hard drive, but I doubt you want to look through 250 000 names.  Is it a specific type of file?  These are in just a folder or a couple of files?

For example, you can simply run a dir/s from a command prompt, but that's what that might look like

  • Connect a printer to lan-card Wireless - G Broadband Router WRT54G2

I just bought a Wireless-G Broadband Router WRT54G2 and it works very well with my wireless computer, but I can not connect my printer. I use the Linksys Advisor program to search for the printer, but it does not. I see that my router starts by IP 192.le xx and my printers IP is 172.xx. May this be the problem? I had no problem when the printer is connected with a router not wireless.

    Hello

I installed the printer again and now it works. Thanks for your help.

  • Photo card printing problem

I've used iPhoto before and had no difficulty to print a card using the PDF export option. However, I am trying to print a map now and it exports as 3 pages with the photo, which should be on the front of the card and therefore on the side right of the page, appearing on the left side of the page, the next page is empty on the right side with the greeting on the left side and the next page at the back of the card on the left side with a blank section in the right. It makes me crazy! Can anyone offer me a solution please?  I need to print the birthday card this morning!

What version of iPhoto, whose theme card do you use?  Any theme card, I tried included only the photos without graphic ornaments.

9.6.1 iPhoto is very disappointing upon registration of a card preview. It will include photos, but not the graphics that are part of the Aplle stop.

My quick and dirty way to print the maps must take screenshot of separate pages of the card and arrange them with preview.
