They are in the Clipboard. If you paste into a paint program (type mspaint into Start - Run all programs - accessories -) or a text editor (Start - All Programs - Accessories - Wordpad). Also see the tool captures to capture the screen (Start - All Programs - Accessories - Snipping Tool).

Copy the screen [Prev |] Next | Content]

PRT Scn Copies the entire screen to the Clipboard as a graphic or the screen with the mouse if you are using multiple monitors. Use MS Paint to paste the picture. It is also known under the nameof Office Snap.

According to the key parameters of Prt Scn tab Misc properties of a Dos program, a program back can still print on printer Prt Scn keyed.

ALT + Prt Scn Copies the active window to the Clipboard in the form of a graph. This is also known as theWindows Snap.
CTRL + Prt Scn Copies the entire virtual screen when you are using multiple monitors in the Clipboard in the form of a graph. Unlike the other two screens to Print that precedes this one doesn't seem to have a name, or if so, it is not listed in the header of the window files.
CTRL + Alt + key number minus button Copies the active window to the Clipboard of remote desktop in the form of a graph (same as thePrt Scn locally)
CTRL + Alt + number Pad Plus key Copies the entire screen to the Clipboard in office to distance in the form of a graph (same asAlt + Prt Scn locally)

If the screenshot by email sending save it as a jpeg, gif or png file before sending (in MS Paint, file - save as, and then choose a format in Save As Type). The color isn't usually important for the screenshots is a way to make a really small file save as a GIF (this reduced to 256 colors), and then save the Gif to Png (lossless and better than Gif compression) or Jpeg (lossy).

To take screenshots of the menus in the current use of the window the Alt key and hold it down during the entire procedure. ALT + a touch of letter to access the menus, then the keysdirection to move the selection, then Print Screen. Release Alt.

  • Print screen button does not work

I have a Lenovo R61i Notebook.  Print screen button does nothing.  How can I print screen on this computer?

I'm not familiar with your product, but on my SL500, there is a Fn key at the bottom left of the keyboard.  If I press on that and press the print screen (F6) and then open my Windows Paint program (or any other image editing program, I guess), I can 'stick' the image of the screen then change for my taste and export in jpg or bitmap or print on my printer.

  • Print screen key no longer works in microsoft windows 7?

I was using my laptop TOSHIBA Satellite L735 for almost a year now. It's in microsoft windows7.

Screen printing worked throughout this year. But I cannot print the form from last week.
No matter how many times I turned off / restart my laptop, I can not print screen. Please help me solve...

If all other keyboard functions work correctly then there seems to be a system problem.

Try the System File Checker to repair corrupted in Win7 files
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833 there is additional guidance on this subject in sfc.exe/scannow

I think you should also check for malware. The best advice I've seen is that given by SpiritX in this forum thread.

But if there is some other keyboard problems then go to control panel configuration, Manager of devices, keyboard, look at all the warning icons then do a right-click, update the driver or if you are not logged as administrator right click, properties, allow the change, enter the admin password then tab & update of the driver.

  • Print-screen for painting

I followed the various recommended procedures to take a 'Print-screen' image and 'paste' to paint to attach to e-mails. I tried several cela

time and end up with blank page saved. The problem seems to be that the paint does not accept my Clipboard save to 'print-screen '.

When I open paint and click on the Edit menu to paste, I see two options; 'paste 'and paste from'. The program does not allow me to use the 'paste', but forces me to use the "block of" (of an existing file). Nothing gets "stuck". There is no function that allow the paste to my Clipboard.

I read in a suggestion to click on "desktop" in the left pane, and click Save. Desktop does not appear on my left pane.

I checked the 'Properties' tab on my paint program and see an installation date of July 2009.

Very frustrating when you follow the guidelines from MicroSoft and it fails

    Madeleine Osuka

    Hi, Osuka

Can you please take a picture of your keyboard and post it here? E430 machines I used always have the PrtSc key located to the right of the space bar. If your machine does not have this, put a picture of the keyboard so that the community can better guide you on how to enable this, if possible,

  • 'Print screen' key big & stretched

I have a MacBook Pro of the retina, 13 inches, running OS X El Capitan (Version 10.11.5).  When I try to print a group of Contacts (Version 9.0) print screen opens but is great, "fill more" or is "tense" on the screen of my Mac. You don't see the buttons CANCEL or PRINT at the bottom right. Are completely off the screen. I even turned on hiding to the Doc, but they are still not visible. I have to type "ESC" to exit this wide screen.

I tried to force him to quit, restart my Mac, resize the print screen open, etc..  I can always print with this widescreen by returning. All the solutions to get the print screen back to normal, which would be about the size of the Contacts app all open on the screen of the Mac?

Try to exit full screen mode control F

or enter the side and drag it smaller

  • How to use the Print Screen function?

I've seen various descriptions of how to use the print screen function.

It would be nice to actually tell one that works.  None have worked for me.

[Fn] and Prt SCr does not work.

CTRL and Prt SCr does not work.

CTRL, Alt, and Prt SCr does not work.

[Fn], Ctrl and Prt SCr does not work.

If anyone knows the correct method to activate the screen capture function which would be a good thing.

From the looks of things, HP has a big problem with this function.

Here's a microsoft articleon the use of the screenshot function.

    This should answer your questions.

    Thanks for taking a peek.

  • Print screen while using dual display on Tecra M5 monitors

I have a Tecra M5 in a docking station, and I use the laptop as a primary monitor screen and an external LCD display as the secondary. Whenever I use the function Print Screen, I find that it copies both screens to the Clipboard. Is there a setting on the nvidia controls that will allow me to copy only the "active screen?" To avoid this problem, I find I have return to mode of single screen which is very irritating.

    Thank you

    Shuggy

I assume you are using the desktop option on your machine
This happens because the ALT + PRTSCN option creates a shortcut to the full desktop.
If you want to create a unique desktop shortcut you don t need to use the extended desktop option.
