Print-screen for painting

I followed the various recommended procedures to take a 'Print-screen' image and 'paste' to paint to attach to e-mails. I tried several cela

time and end up with blank page saved. The problem seems to be that the paint does not accept my Clipboard save to 'print-screen '.

When I open paint and click on the Edit menu to paste, I see two options; 'paste 'and paste from'. The program does not allow me to use the 'paste', but forces me to use the "block of" (of an existing file). Nothing gets "stuck". There is no function that allow the paste to my Clipboard.

I read in a suggestion to click on "desktop" in the left pane, and click Save. Desktop does not appear on my left pane.

I checked the 'Properties' tab on my paint program and see an installation date of July 2009.

Very frustrating when you follow the guidelines from MicroSoft and it fails

Icon painting (a shortcut for paint) may be absent. but the program
is almost certainly still there. See the answer of Jetta48.

Note, however, that the paint is not at all necessary. There are many other
choice. Here is my standard answer to questions print screen:

In the days of DOS, the print screen button to print the screen. But
in all versions of Windows, it works differently and the name of
the key is now an anachronism. The key is not to print the screen.
PrtScrn captures the entire screen and Alt-PrtScrn captures activate
    window.

Either a capture of the image in the Windows Clipboard. Once it is in
the Clipboard, you can paste (Ctrl + V) into any application that
supports graphics (Windows Paint, other graphics software, even your)
favorite text processing). You can change or add to the image you
    like, then print it out.

This ability to manipulate the image in a program before printing
is an improvement on the original method of printing the whole back.
But if you like that old return facility, there are several

  • Can I print screen a window inside a virtual machine?

    Hello:

I tried to open a .vsd on my MacBook Pro.

Unfortunately, I don't have a version of Visio on my Mac.

So, when I opened the file, he opened my WIndows 7 Virtual Machine.

Can I do a printscreen of this window in Visio in a VM?

    If so, how?

If not, can I cut and paste of my Windows 7 window into a file in Word or PDF on my Mac?

    If so, how?

    Thanks in advance

I do this all the time...

    1. prepare the area you want to capture visible

    2. click on a space empty on your desktop to Finder the active application on your Mac.

    3. Press Cmd + Shift + 4 and the area you want to a drag-and-release screenshot

A new PNG file with the screenshot will be on your Mac desktop.

Of course, you can also get a print screen for Windows utility, but I prefer to keep as little on my Windows VMs as possible.

  • I want to print the screen for task management. It won't let me.

I want to show my friend which is running so that he can tell me what to stop making the computer run faster. I can't figure out how to print it.

    Hello dog BONES.

Thank you for your message.  There are two ways that this can be done.  The first and probably the easiest are:
1 open the Task Manager > click Options > uncheck "Always on Top".
    2 maximize the Task Manager
    3. press Ctrl + print screen at the same time.
    4. open Paint and paste the copy you just made.  This file can then be saved.
The second way is a little more in depth and included below:
1 if you have XP Home Edition, click on the link below and download Tasklist.exe, Tasklist.exe came standard on your computer.
    2. click on 'Start' > click 'run '.
3 type the following in the command prompt window /FO CSV tasklist > C:tasklist.csv [Enter]
A .csv file will be generated and written on your c: drive that can be opened with Microsoft Excel.

Using the PrtScr button takes a screenshot and put it in your Clipboard. You must then use another program (e.g. Windows 7 Paint) and paste so that it becomes a new image which you can then manipulate or print.

    "Print Screen" is a misnomer.

    Hi supperman.

I have a problem with the screen capture. When I take a screenshot by pressing the print SCREEN key on my keyboard, I can't get a screen shot in small size, in a Word document.

someone knows the reason for this? How can I get a screenshot in a normal size. Thank you very much.

    Hi tony.wang,

If you copy the screenshot in a Word file, it will be the default page of the word file size. It will be in a smaller size to fit into the Word file.

However, if you want to open the full-size screen capture, you can use Microsoft Paint on Windows application.

    Hello

When you press the button PRTSCN, then the image of your screen is Save the Clipboard (something like CTRL + C in WORD). You must run (for failure) paint (the program for work with images) and press CTRL + V. Then you can save it as a file.

Painting - you can run like this:

Click on Start - run and write mspaint.exe and click OK

  • could not find USB device & not print screen

I'm sorry, but I have another question. I'm so sick of this. I swear that my system, the material is good (tablet of Motion LE1600 quite common with WinXP svc pk 3 & Security Essentials from a full reimage a month ago)

All of a sudden today, my tablet is not my mobile phone which is connected with a USB cable, so ActiveSync starts. I messed with the USB cable and moved to another plugin. It plugs into the Tablet directly and not through the recharge base.

In addition, at the same time, my USB keyboard does not at all on this pc. But the USB mouse works fine!

So there is a problem with the USB plug-ins, I guess. Do not know what has been changed, but I've probably done something, or who knows...

In addition, my e: drive drive USB which uses the Live Image to make full backups said it is in pause Mode. Don't know what it is, but I bet that it is not connected somehow, although if I look at my computer, I see e: listed there.

And when I start my pc and connect, I get this pop up in the taskbar saying that some Windows delayed write failed for a file named e:\$Mft. The data has been lost (?). Since print screen will not work to create an image in Paint Shop Pro, it has been challenging trivia note.

And I look at the table Motion, which helps you set up the Tablet and periphials, dashboard and under Microsphone, he said an input control limited - Knowles Intellisonic software is not enabled.

I looked in all programs and in my computer > all programs and I see nothing named Knowles and Intellisonic. I have no idea what to do, TI, it is still important.

    Help!

Solved (for now!). I went to F8 on reboot and did the last good known Configuration and it worked. I'm very happy now...
