Print spooler keeps stopping after Windows updates

Keeps logging print spooler, it seems that every time there is an update to Windows.  Is there a fix.

Hello

1 how long have you been faced with this problem?
2 do you have you can any hardware/software changes to your computer before this problem?

This can happen if there is printer drivers are corrupt.

I suggest that you remove all of the installed printers and reinstall Windows 7 printer drivers.

Delete a printer:

a. click on the "Start" button, type PRINTERS in the start search box and press ENTER.
b. find the printers installed icons, then delete them.
c. right-click on the blank part of the window and choose "run as administrator"->"Server properties".
d. on the tab drivers , select them printers list and click the Remove button. Please, select Remove driver and driver package.
e. open the start menu, enter APPWIZ. CPL in the search box and press ENTER to launch the "programs and features".
f. try to remove all related printer software.

Thanks and greetings

  • Windows 7 print spooler keeps stopping

Windows 7 preinstalled Dell.  Two printers installed on the system (HPLaserJet1300 and Scanner/printer Dell 922).  Both printers worked well for ~1.5 months.  Suddenly, print spooler continues to stop.  I can't remove printer drivers to try to reinstall.  I tried to restart the spooler of the Panel of the system, but no change.

I also tried sfc/scannow, requested by the other topics in the forum.  Results showed something about printer files is damaged and cannot fix.  (at this point, I'm over my head)

    Please notify.

First give you property and a full access to c:\windows\system32\spoolsv.exe

Then run cmd as administrator and run this command: del /Q C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\PRINTERS\*.*

  • Lexmark x 5470 print spooler keeps stopping

Everything was fine until last week.  For some reason, I can print is no longer in Vista.  He kept coming up with an error message that the spooler of sprint has stopped running.  I would like to restart the spooler, but within seconds it would stop.  I found a few articles on this problem & tried many fixs.  None worked.  I tried uninstalling the Lexmark x 5470 printer and reload the driver.  After doing this, I tried to reload the driver from the Lexmark website, but when he tried to install the printer, he couldn't find / contact him.  I tried following the dirtections unplug & plug but nothing has helped.  I then looked at the print spooler, and again, it has been stopped.  Any ideas what's happening?

HP has its own update that I think could be the cause.

  • Network printer not connecting not after Windows update.

Vista.  Network printer does not connect after an automatic update of windows unknown.  However, requested document printing to a printer wireless unselected, connected to the same network, if the wireless printer is activated.

Not having received a response to my follow-up question/information, I decided to "Just Do It" on mine.

I deleted the printer listed as the wireless HP6300 and added back, once again as a network printer.  Not "Uninstall".  (I did on each computer using this printer.  Everything worked perfectly.  Both printers still coexist on the same network and works perfectly.

As far as I know that something like an update of Windows, change the IP address of the "network printer" at the same IP address as my printer 'Wireless '.  When I deleted and added the HP6300, he returned with the correct IP address.  If anyone has another explanation, I'd be interested to hear.  This problem has also affected two of my friends systems.

  • Desktop Background slideshow is stopped after Windows Update

I have my computer and automatic updates from Microsoft. I received a number of Microsoft updates on 14/02/13. After the reboot, the background slide show feature has stopped working. The background alone, that I can use now is a solid color. If I select a single image or images and save the value, the background does not change. The bottom icon temporarily shows a slide show and then switch back to solid in seconds by itself. It was working fine before the update. Once I connected after the reboot, the bottom just went blue. I tried all different background options and the only one that works are solid colors. I can change the color scheme, but can't get images to display. How the background slide show to work after Microsoft updates? Y at - there an update I can remove it to restore the function?

I was able to fix the problem by replacing the "TranscodedWallpaper.jpg" file and clear the contents of the file "slideshow.ini" in my... Directory of \AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Themes. Not sure that is actually solved the problem. I deleted the "TranscodedWallpaper.jpg" file and replaced with an image file. I selected all (cntl-a) in the ini file, even if it looked empty, delete the entire contents and saved. Then I closed all Windows Explorer Windows and the background went to the image. Then I was able to pick my theme with background transitions and it worked.

Obviously, updates of windows which took place on 14/02/13 caused one or more of these files to become corrupted.

I hope this helps someone else.

Recently, I ran a windows update and leave my computer turned off.  When you turn it on, the were (are) of the internet and the printer does not.  I went into Device Manager via Control Panel to see if I could turn them on and there is nothing pulling up in the Device Manager.  All documents and are accessible, but I can't even start a new internet connection and cannot print.   I am currently using another computer (more modern) in another room.  I even tried the SafeMode (f8 in the middle) from the model and go to Device Manager and nothing was there.  I just tried to go through the f8 option and beginning to a previous state that worked and I have the same result...  Everything is saved on that on a 350g portable hard drive.  It would just be easier to wipe the hard drive and start over? If so how would I do this reformatting?  Thanks for any advice.

Before you destroy by formatting the hard drive on your computer, I suggest that you do a restore of the system on the computer by choosing a restore point when it was working fine. You can check the link that will give you information about how to restore the system on the computer below:

    Hi Marius,.

As you mentioned that you are unable to find the folder of spool, check if spoolsv.exe is present under C:\Windows\System32.

Follow these tips and check if that helps.

Method 1: Run the built-in printer Troubleshooter and check if that helps.
    Open utility troubleshooting printer

Method 2: I suggest you refer to the suggestion of Gokul T responded on November 6, 2009, for a similar problem.

have a toshiba satellite A505 laptop and the keyboard stops working after Windows Update reboots. We reinstalled Windows 7, which fixed the problem until the updates have come. Now the keyboard is unresponsive. Sounds like a software problem, no material. Also checked the keyboard drivers that are up to date.

As a first response, go to the control panel, device, keyboard, keyboard Manager and right click, uninstall it and let it rediscover Windows and then reinstall it.

It suits it much of the time.

  • Wireless printer will not install. Rpet print spooler service stopped.

    Original title: Print Spooler Service.

I am trying to install a wireless printer, and he goes on to say that the print spooler service stopped stop. How can I fix this problem?

    Hi Gaynell,

If give you the error, try to replace spoolsv.exe is located in C:\windows\system32 in C:\WINDOWS\ServicePackFiles\i386.

  • HP Laserjet M1522 nf - cannot install the driver (print spooler is stopped)

-installed driver using the installation disc, but when I tried to add the printer to the wireless network, all THE existing definitions of the printer disappeared and print spooler has stopped. I restart the spooler, but when I try to install the driver, the error message says "cannot install printer - Print Spooler App stopped. Please start the spooler or restart the computer. ") Operating system Vista).  I've upgraded to Windows 7, but the problem persists.

So is the printer connected to the router or you are going through the router to a shared printer on another computer.

Whatever it is, the printer driver must be executed in the process of printisolationhost rather than the spoolsv process if the spooler will not process that is corrupting the print driver.

When you have Pro and Ultimate is easy.  If you have home made me know if gpedit.msc launches Group Policy Editor.

For Pro and home run printmanagement.msc

Drivers, find the 1522, right click, pilot of isolation, isolated

Now, start the spooler service.  Since the driver does not work, you must remove it by using any HP software used to install the driver.  Normally in the programs, you can find the installation of HP and select uninstall.  Reset.  HP.com head, pick up the HP driver published last month and start again
