another option is PDF print which now originates in 4.0.
I would like to know what it means exactly... I still need a report server? Where can I print a pdf document directly in the Apex?

I didn't know anything about it in the new description of features...
Thank you

Fanny

It OF a little hard to know if you have never actually downloaded the listener of the APEX, since even the APEX 4.0 installation guide (yet) States the listener come bundled with FOP.
Deployment of the fop.war that comes with APEX works, even if it is limited to run on OC4J (as described in the [http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/apex/application-express/configure-printing-093060.html#5.1 url] HowTo), which is not the listener of the APEX.
You can of course also use the 'original' FOP, which runs on (almost) any J2EE container, but I wouldn't say that "native support".

Is possible to automate this process:

    1. any application, choose Save as pdf (print to PDF or print to a pdf printer).
    2. Save the file in the same folder the original file;
    3. set the password (no copy) this new file?

    Thank you.

    Gianluca.

The original and the PDF files have different extensions, so they can be saved in the same folder.

Regarding automation you might see if you can use Automator to do. Find it in your Applications folder.

  • Can't "print" to PDF of the iPad or Android tablet...

Hello if someone could help me as soon as POSSIBLE, I would appreciate it.  I can't record or 'print' anything as a PDF of my iPad or android because Adobe Acrobat is never a choice for printing.  What I see/read online, it should be a choice.  In other words, I can't save anything, of any application, in PDF format.  I guess I'm in the dark on how to implement.  Please notify.

    Hello

Acrobat Reader for iOS and Android provide the ability to print in-app.

Could you pass a glance "PDF printing" section (the last section) of the online help?

The changes that you made to a PDF document (complete a form, by adding annotations/comments, etc.) will be automatically saved when you close, print or share the PDF document.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

    Thank you.

  • How can I print to PDF from the browser window.

When I try to print to PDF from a browser window (tried Firefox and IE), nothing happens.  However, I am able to send the same window to an agreement of the printer. I am able to print to PDF for local applications (e.g.excel, Word) very well.  I am running Windows 7 on a HP Pavilion dv7j laptop.  Please notify.  Thank you.

If you do not have Adobe Acrobat (should not be confused with Adobe Acrobat Reader), you do not use the Adobe PDF printer and check out support for any PDF printer you use. Adobe Acrobat Reader does not install a PDF printer.

    Hello

Please try to print the PDF file as an image and check any changes:

Open a PDF document and open the print dialog box.

    Click Advanced.

Select check as Image and try printing.

As the issue began after replace the PDF software and any similar behavior does not appear for other applications, it seems like a problem in the software Adobe Acrobat... That's why I suggest you contact Adobe support.

  • Printer Adobe PDF (copy 1) added for no reason. OXPS in PDF of print does not have all suddenly.

I got a note that Acrobat DC updated this morning.  I have now two printer Adobe PDF on my system - the second one is called "Adobe PDF (1 copy).  If I try to print with the original ' Adobe PDF' printer, it works at all.

If I try to print files OXPS using "Adobe PDF (copy 1)' - which is something I used to do all the time - the text becomes complete gibberish.

Adobe has broken something and it must be fixed.  Yesterday, everything was fine.

Thanks Nicknameforme.  No luck with these settings, but I was able to remedy.  Our problem was not confined to just OXPS.  It has been create/print to PDF using the Adobe PDF printer.

    Here is my assessment:

    PROBLEM / ISSUE:

Windows 10 machines with Adobe Acrobat DC.

There are files in the spooler of the Adobe PDF printer with errors.  Automatic update ran into Acrobat that could not fully remove/update the 'Adobe PDF' printer because of these queue files and created new printer 'Adobe PDF (copy 1)'.

There was only 'Adobe PDF (copy 1)' in the devices & printers in the Control Panel, but both that and 'Adobe PDF' appear in the list of available printers when you print a document.  The 'copy 1' worked locally, but not save to a network drive.  The original of 'Adobe PDF' did nothing.

    SOLUTION:

    1. manually, clear the print spooler to remove old files stuck in the 'Adobe PDF' printer through the command prompt.  (These commands are for Windows 10. They will be different for earlier versions of Windows)

-Start menu > right click on the app 'Command' and 'run as administrator '.

    -Type "Net Stop Spooler.

    -Press enter

    -Type ""del %systemroot%\System32\spool\printers\* /Q " "

    -Press enter

    -Type "Net Start Spooler".

    -Press enter

    2. remove the 'Adobe PDF (copy 1)' in devices and printers in Control Panel

    -Right click > "remove hardware".

    3 reboot (recommended)

    4. run the wizard to repair Acrobat.

    -Open Acrobat

-Go to the Help menu > 'Repair Installation '.

    5 reboot (recommended)

It still worked on multiple computers with the same problem

  • HP Color Laserjet Pro M252 - not to print a PDF file

    Hey Adobe Forum,

I have a problem with a M252 Pro of Laserjet of color HP which will not print all PDF documents. When you try to print a PDF file, the document is idling to "print...". ».

    Information about the current configuration:

    1. the customer is on a Windows 7, 64-bit workstation.

    2. the pilot is the last on the site - HP Color Laseret M252 PCL6. I tried the PCL5, PS and HP universal printer drivers.

    3. the printer has been added as a local printer TCP/IP (10.45.157.31/24) and a shared printer from the server. The two did not work.

    4. the workstation has Adobe Reader X installed the latest updates. The upgrade of the revision to XI or higher version is not an option.

5 other files can be printed such as images and Microsoft Word documents.

    6. I tried setting Adobe for 'Print As Image '; It did make a difference.

If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.

    Thank you

It turns out that, the question not print was the result of an incompatibility of duplex on the switch port to which it was connected. I tried an administrator account that does not correct the problem. Print jobs were still sitting in the queue up to 5 minutes after selecting printing. A PDF file passes finally after minutes of waiting, but was cancelled by users after assuming it was the slightest error / stuck.

When checking switch, there was a lot of duplex mismatch errors in newspapers. Double-sided printing has been on before auto however there may be problems with automatic duplex printing. I put the port 100 Mbit/s/full that if it is in offline mode. I put it at 10 Mbit/s/full and it came online and all problems solved.

    Thank you for your help.

    Max.

  • Print to pdf creates a .ps instead of .pdf file

I have several desktops running Acrobat 9.0 Standard on Windows operating systems. We need regularly to "print to PDF" using the Adobe PDF printer from various applications, including Acrobat 9.0 himself.

On a computer, the output file that is created by the Adobe PDF printer is in .ps format. By default, this is usually .pdf and is what it takes. Create a .ps file requires several additional conversion steps to make a .pdf file so it is not efficient.

How to change PDF when we use this "Adobe PDF Printer" function?

Thanks for your help in advance.

  • CS5 print in PDF is not available

    Greetings

I am not an experienced or professional Illustrator user but have created several PDF files up to a couple of weeks without problem.

Today I am trying to export or print to PDF and the PDF option disappeared for export and save dialog boxes. The only option for printing is Adobe PostScript file (I have no printer connected). The option is not available in any of my files HAVE. Finally, I printed 3 weeks ago and had no problem. I don't think I made fundamental changes to the configuration of the Illustrator.

    I'm using CS5 15.0.0 on a MacBook Pro under OS Lion 10.7.2.

I'm sure it's an easy fix.

All very well. Panic at the wire.
