• HP CN503B - print does not paper!

  HP CN503B - printing e-mails or print web pages beyond the edge of the paper (I think the technical term is "bleed").  Print preview shows also printing paper outer edge. Can find no reason - correct paper size.  Can anyone help please?

  What appeared on the computer screen as you type has little to do with what prints. That is completely controlled by the video settings. Print preview displays only not the whole page is normally due the to-retractable disabled. The instructions I gave where for Internet Explorer 8, so that maybe the reason why you have could not find some of the things. I'll put the instructions for Internet Explorer 9 below. Try the continuation of those and let me know what happens.

  1. at the top, you should see an icon gear/cog in the red x at the top right of the window.
  2. click on the gear/pinion and hold your mouse on Print.
  3. Select layout in the list.
  4. when the Page Setup window opens, make sure the box next to ' enable Shrink-to-Fit ' is checked.
  5. click OK to save the changes and close the window.

  Printer sucked into a pile of leaves, when I started to print a document, rather than a single sheet.  After removing the paper, I have re-load of paper to try new print job, but printing failed info and printer for this device says "on paper."   I was not able to clear this error despite the many re - start, re-loading paper, etc.

  I wonder if the paper sensing switch was damaged when it sucked up so much paper?  If so, actually that now require repair factory?    All possible solutions if it is that or something else?

  Okay - the printer is fixed, but not by me.  My brother took a glance and first determined that there always pulls paper in copy mode.  Who determined that it was not a hardware problem but a software problem.   I don't know the exact details of what he was doing then, but I think he has reinstalled the driver after uninstalling it and/or the software of the printer.   He started again, and Windows 7 has recognized that the pilot and that solved the problem.

  Technical support did not come to the top with that answer - they said it was a faulty sensor and that it could not be repaired and I have to buy a new printer.

  Thank God we don't listen to HP technical support.

  Open and close the paper tray, here, it will show on the screen of the size of the paper.

  I have a HP ENVY 5530 bought 6 months ago. It works fine up to last week.

  When I try to print photos on paper glossy A4-180gsm printing process seems to start until the paper has been fed properly - resulting in one third of the image is not being printed.

  The amount of the printed image varies so I guess this isn't a calibration problem, but more likely a slip on paper feed.

  I printed out photos full page on the same paper successfully during the last 6 months if the paper is OK.

  The printer will print on uncoated paper 90gsm without problem.

  All of a sudden, I can't print a picture on plain paper - guard asks me to load the photo paper tray, even though preferences set for plain paper printing and plain paper is selected in the print window.  (These are not photos but documents scanned in JPEG format by others, so I just want what they free paper).  Regular printing and all other functions work fine.

  We have an Officejet Pro 8600 who will not feed the paper card stock. It was the printer that I used when I worked and did a great job on standard paper, but it won't take my wife stock card paper craft.   Welcome to the Community Forum of HP.

  Try indicating what type of media you print to the printer - if your media in the printing preferences settings do not understand "card", you should choose something else which is similar: Matt Brochure, card, 'something' that kind of card stock for the printer to the printer waits 'thick' paper looks.

  Contact the society of the printer.  There is nothing that Microsoft or Windows, can do to force the printer to accept a type of paper, though it says it will not accept it.
