  In the HP Officejet 4630 software, click on scan a document or Photo, then select the Scan for editable text shortcut and set the type of file to rich TEXT format.

• HP Officejet 5740 e-All-In-One: multiple frustrations with printer e-all-in-one-hp officejet 5740.

  I have a HP Officejet 5740-e all-in-one that has all sorts of problems: periodically decides not to print documents from one of my laptops HP or Lenovo.  Do not accept ink cartridges HP Instant ink or HP ink cartridges purchased in a store.  Unable to get decent support for this HP product.  Is essentially a disposable item now?

  As far as I know that there is no user replaceable parts in these lower end home use printers. So if nine ink cartridges do not work, and seeing that the cost of the printer is less than $ 100, Yes... it's basically a Jet printer away. Wish I had better news for you.

  Description of the problem: number of page do not match

  Then click on "check printing.

  The report provides: Total number of printed Pages 8159

  Total number of pages

  6725

  Difference = 8159-6725 = 1434

  Can someone tell me why these numbers are different? They represent different totals?

  I see that you have questions about your number of pages.  I would like to help.

  The built-in web server does not account for pages printed not across the network.  The number of printer pages all the elements. 1434 pages were not printed through the network, therefore, not counted in the SAP.

  I am able to print wirelessly from two different laptops, but not via the USB port on my HP desktop computer. I used the HP print and scan doctor and was not able to print the first test print, but then he says to print an "internal test page" so I clicked on the button and it printed something. Then he said: there is something wrong with my software and I would like to uninstall and reinstall the software. I have the CD that came with the printer (new) and I have a Unies/reinstalle Nations like 4 times now with no change. I bought a new USB high-speed and that did not help. I tried to create a new port with the address of my ISP printer, no help. When I try to print something I can see the document in the queue for a second, but it says 'removal of coil' but never printed. Help, please!

  All jokes aside, I'm sure that this has been a frustrating experience for you, and I thank you for your patience. It took me awhile, but I think I have a couple of viable solutions. We will first try to enable bidirectional support.

  1. go into your printers folder, right click on the connected network printer that you experience the problem with and select "Properties".

  2. when the Properties window opens, click the "Ports" tab

  3. at the bottom of the tab window Ports is a check box "Enable bidirectional support", uncheck the box and click 'OK '.

  If that doesn't do the trick, we can again to uninstall and reinstall using the base driver. I know it's a shot in the dark, but worth a try.

  If it still does not work, we can try another driver altogether. Follow the steps below to assign another pilot.

  To use a different print driver for Windows XP HP printers:
  1. click on the start menu.
  2. click on Control Panel.

  3. make sure that you set it to Classic view.

  4. open the printers and Faxes folder.
  5. right click on your printer.
  6. Select the printer properties.
  7. click on the Advanced tab.
  8. click on new driver.
  9. click Next.
  10. Select HP in the first list.
  11 look for the Officejet 4620 as it would be the closest to what you have. If you do not find that the 4620 select Deskjet 990c in the second list just for diagnostic purposes.
  12. click Next.
  13. click on finish.
  14. click on apply.
  15. click OK to close the window.

  The error message itself will remain but will continue to print. This message will remain until the cartridge is replaced. Substitution is the printer printing always regardless of the error message on the display screen.

  I understand you're wondering if you can set your J4680 until chromebook.

  For a printer can be configured on Google Cloud Print, it must have the functionality of the web services.

  Unfortunately the J4680 doesn't have this feature.

  If you have a PC or a Mac, you can set up a conventional printer.

  The downside is that you should have the PC or Mac turned on to be able to print from the Chromebook.

  The positive side is that you can print your chromebook.
