    Greetings, all.

I have an OfficeJet Pro 8600 911 and an iMac (21.5 inch, end 2013) running OS X 10.9.2 Mavericks.

The problem comes when I try to print a photo 4 x 6 from the main drawer - in the print dialog box, the image is oriented the wrong way on the preview. No matter if I rotate the image or not, it does a perpendicular orientation. In the print dialog box, there is no orientation option to change from portrait to landscape or vice versa, even if

I checked the software update of the Mac and the Pro 8600, but there is nothing available.

  • Printer icon stuck in the system tray.

I have the printer icon stuck in my system tray.  It will only display when it was actively printing a document.  Now, this is where all the time.  When I switch on it shows 1 document waiting, but when I click on "open all active documents print" it shows nothing.  I stopped and started several times print spooler.  There are no files in % SYSTEMROOT%\system32\spool\Printers. How can I get rid of this icon and the mystery waiting for document? The only printer I have is connected on a network and not directly to this computer.  This computer connects via cable and the computer with the HP printer connects to the same wireless network.

    Great salvation,

I suggest to remove and reinstall the HP printing software.

  • does not print color photo of the network printer.

I have a photosmart b210 connected to a home network.  The printer works correctly on the host computer and print the letters and pictures correctly.  How to print from a laptop on the network printer works correctly when you print documents (color works too).  When you print a photo, print out in black and white.  I have reviewed the settings, but cannot find a difference.  Any suggestions?

    Hi dwg711,

Looks like you have a problem with Microsoft on Windows 7 images. I'm glad to hear that this problem has been resolved. Have a wonderful day.

  • Photosmart premium will not print from the main tray

I have a HP Photosmart Premium.  It won't print or copy from the main tray.  Despite the fact that I specifically designated main tray settings, he continues to try to print from the photo tray. How can I fix it?

My recommendation would be to define the default values for what you do most often.  You can assign the parameter of the bins to automatic and the printer should draw the correct tray based on the other parameters of size and type of media.  If you experience problems with the automatic selection of tray for a particular document or a picture, you can specify the drawer wished for this print job.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600: Recently a fax pops up when I try to print photos and the picture does not print

We have a printer all-in-one HP Officejet Pro 8600 operating from a desktop HP with Windows 7. Recently, in the last two weeks my wife told me, we cannot print photos. The documents appear to be printed without a problem, but when trying to print a photo we get a window titled 'Send Fax - HP Officejet Pro 8600'. We have never used or even hung fax capablitly since we have owned this printer (maybe 2-3 years). All of a sudden, this window is displayed when we try to print a photo and the photo does not print.  I can't tell you that my wife did not hit accidentally a wrong button somewhere down the line, but she says she does not. I tried to attach a screenshot of the window, but for some reason that it does not take it. It's probably something very simple, but technically challenged myself, I can't understand. Help, please.

    Thank you

Print picture of what program?  Some programs to keep their own default values for the printer.  It seems that the default printer for the printing of the photo program has been set to Fax.  Try to open the program, select the Officejet Pro 8600 as the printer rather than the Officejet Pro 8600 fax.

  • Select the default tray when printing from MS Word or any other application HP OfficeJet 8610

    Hello

We have HP OfficeJet 8610 with additional tray. So, we have Tray1 and bac2. That's what I read in the specs of the printer about how we can use the bins:

    • Loaded into all of the paper trays and use paper from a tray if the other tray is empty
    • Loaded into all trays and paper of one of the bins first use
    • Be able to choose plain paper and another type of paper that you use occasionally

    My question is:

Let's say that we have put the tray 2 as the default tray.

In MS Word or any other application in layout, you can define special tray (say 1 tray) paper source. This means that the document should be printed on paper from the selected tray (Tray 1). But in our case, the document is always printed using paper from the default tray (tray 2).

Could you please confirm that this is the expected behavior?

    Thank you so much, Ana.

    Hi @AnaGligorijevic,

I understand that you want to be able to print the same document at different trays and change the setting via the Word software. This printer is not able to change the settings of the tray for different pages in the same document to multiple pages.

To work around this problem, you can use the parameter to "print pages." "Select it print pages selected, then for other pages ' print pages" yet once and then change the parameters of the status bar of the application.

The application, you can change the settings of the tray for 1 page or a multiple page document. But it will print all pages of the specified tray.

Hope that makes sense. Thank you!

  • Printer does not print it wwants to the fax.

I'm going crazy because of my actions of printers. Each time, after loading the info from pre-press, I click on PRINT, and instead to print, I get the prompt to SEND a FAX.  I use Windows XP Prof  I am 81 and the days pass quickly.  Can you help me?

    Spundojb,

    Welcome to the HP Forum.

    Try this:

Click Start > Control Panel >

On the control panel > click on Printers and other peripherals > click on Printers and faxes

When open the printers and faxes >

Right click on your printer (don't forget to choose the printer and not the fax printer) >

Select (in the little menu) set as the default printer

That may be enough to solve the problem - it will set your default printer instead of the part 'fax' from the printer.

    Continue only if necessary here...

If this does not work, the problem is maybe that the printer software is not installed, OR that the software of the printer no longer works correctly.  Whatever it is, you can search for the software and try to reinstall to fix the problem.

The process to install the printing software is not difficult - the installer does most of the work - I've included instructions below.  You must know your printer model to be able to get the software.

General instructions to install the complete software of the printer features

    ·         Open drivers HP & downloads

    ·         Enter your printer model information

    ·         Select your printer in the list of the 'results '.

    ·         Enter your operating system from the menu drop-down

    ·         Click NEXT and scroll down

    ·         Find the category driver - software product installation

    ·         Select the base driver, e-print, or a full features software

    ·         Save the *.exe installation package (s) on your computer

Likely to save the file to your "folder"downloads. "

If it is available, you can download print and scan doctor and / or other programs of the category-utilities

    TIP:

Install the utilities / tools first. bit installation packages are smaller in size

    ·         If you have control of "Admin", you can "double-click" to install the software, if not right click, select run as administrator and install.

    NOTES:

    ·          Look at the bottom half of the main Web page for your printer for helpful videos help with the installation of the printer software.

    ·          Scroll down the list of videos back until you find the video that best fits your situation.

    ·         Connection USB: download and install the driver software before connecting a USB cable.

    ·         Ethernet: If the printer supports Ethernet, you can connect the printer to the network (and assign the printer an IP address for the router, if you wish).  Once the printer is connected to the network, make sure that the printer is turned on, and then install the printer software.

    ·         After the initial installation is complete and functional, install the relevant updates - check Category - updated

    NOTE:

There is no guarantee that the software of the printer is always available for XP - it is worth looking for.  If you find the software of the printer, it may be a good idea to download the software to your computer even if you decide that you don't need to install the software now.  You may need to install the package later and it's good to get it ready.

  • Printing multiple photos

Can I print 2 different pictures on one page at the same time? I am in Microsoft Office Picture manager and when will print the window "How do you print your photos" appears, the same as in the photo gallery and there you have the option to print 2 4 x 6 but I don't want to print 2 of the same thing, I have 2 different photos, I want to print on the same page. Is this possible?

    Hi LuraT,

Yes you can. You just need to highlight the TWO images (Ctrl-click on each) and then click on print. When you select the 4 x 6 (2), you should see the two photos.

  • How to print multiple photos on a single sheet

I try to print 4 photos of the same subjecton a sheet, I can't figure out

    muscularchristi

Welcome to the Community Forum of HP.

    See the following document:

    Print Photos - two methods

In particular, if you use a Mac, you can count on Photo Creations - this software works very well with Windows, of course!

The second method that uses the Windows Photo Viewer shows some examples, which is as follows:

Print Photo on the main plate

Notice the arrow that points to the selection of the photos in the right column in the example.  You can choose how many photos you want on the sheet of paper right here: one, two or more pictures on the sheet.

  • HP 7520 - cannot print custom size of the photo tray photo

I am trying to print a photo of small 2.5 cm wide on a 4 x 6 "piece of photo paper. If I choose the "custom" paper size then I can select 4 x 6 on the right and put 4 copies of the photo on the sheet.  But when I click on print it always goes for the main paper tray and then gives me an error (I emptied the main tray because I don't want it to be used). I don't want to use a large sheet of paper.

How can I force to take the paper from the photo bin? I tried every setting I can think. The selection of paper size automatically assumes that it is the size of the photo I want! If I choose 4 x 6 as my paper size it only allows me to print one full page. I need a tiny picture, preferably several times on one page. Without doubt, I should be able to say print the picture of this exact size and paper tray! Can anyone help please?

I use the HP Photosmart 7520 and Windows 7. Thank you.

    SeoulGal,

Thanks for the quick response. You have me a little confused, so I just want to clarify - initially you were trying to print on 4 X 6 paper, you then changed to 10 x 15, because the paper was not shooting from the photo tray? I assume you mean 10x15cm which is always the same size from 4 x 6 paper.

Anyway I understand that he won't shoot the photo tray paper, you place the tray in the photo tray when selecting to print? Have a look here at how change printer settings so it pulls the correct status bar: Print the Photos saved on your computer (Windows)

Please don't forget to take a look at the paper handling section in the printer Specifications as 2.5 photo size you are interested in is not, see here: 7520 Photosmart e-all-in-one printer printer Specifications

I could open my Windows Live Photo Gallery and play with the settings of the picture, when I select option 4 x 6 as you, I only get the option for "picture full page. Now when I select the letter or 8x10inches I am then given more options 2-4x6s, 1-8 x 10, 9-wallets and Board contact etc.. So that leads me to believe this is a limitation of the software.

Have you tried using another photo program to see if this allows you to get you exactly what you want? I open HP Photo Creations on my computer and did the following:

    1. click on the option of high prints

    2. navigate to multiple display prints and select display multiple impressions of grid.

    3. click on customize and print

    4. along the top, you are given the option to choose size, please make sure that the value is 4 x 6. See below

    5. now under the advance printing options, go ahead and select the following settings:

    6. you are also able to change the number of pictures you want per sheet, I've now fixed it 2. If you want to only 1 copy of the photo under Copies change this to 1

    7. now you can go ahead and select print (remember under the parameter to select the right printer tray)

You are now able to print the smaller picture on paper photo 4 x 6 size the correct status bar? I look forward to hearing from you, fingers crossed

  • How can I route printing jobs for the main tray instead of the photo tray?

If I send a mail with an attachment JPG to the e-mail address of my printer, it will always try to print it by using the photo tray. I guess he assumes simply because it is an image file, happened to print using photo paper. Although it is not a bad assumption, it is not necessarily what the user wants. I was wondering how I could implement the ePrint to control which tray to use for printing the attachments of the image files. Thank you.

PS My printer is Photosmart 7520.

    Hello

At this point, you will not be able to do so through ePrint. Please also read the following post:
