  Looks like they have accidentally been removed from the toolbar. The toolbar can be customized quite widely, is not a rare mistake. Take a look at Knowledge Base article the Navigation buttons such as back, home, bookmarks and recharge are missing. It will show you how to restore buttons.

  If I've understood your problem, try this. Create a shortcut to "soundrecorder /file outputfilename.wav" (without the quotes).

  Then start soundrecorder via this shortcut and start and stop the recording, it will save so (hopefully) as a wav as before.

  I think the problem is, W7 soundrecorder, by default, saves to wma.

  If not, try a 3rd free part program such as Audacity (which seems like overkill, but should do the job).

Also, I was not able to transfer files on disk or any other storage device, their there on the computer and it says that they work very well, but I can't transfer anything to them.  They will play a disc or view data on a disc that has already been done but don't transfer to the drive if I want to add new files or data to it.   You say you have lost the tab "tool"?

  If so, just right click on one of the other tabs and select "basic" in the context menu that appears.

  Right-click on or near one of the other headers and a pop-up will appear and you will be able to select the base to the display panel.
